My favorite part about working with Amanda was definitely the unique perspective she brought to tackling problems (for instance, seeing how to answer a physics problem without any calculations!). Those helpful strategies and ways of thinking about different approaches really helped me gain confidence with encountering passages and questions on the MCAT. I did also really enjoy the Xperiencify points system that was used in my course — it was nice to have a system that could “track” my progress with MCAT prep in a fun, engaging way. The timed practice problem sets that were assigned to me was also a great tool to have, and good practice! She was also very patient and helpful in answering any questions I had. I think as a learner, I changed in how to look at and analyze passages differently when practicing and especially be more patient with breaking down passages and questions. My score increase after working with Amanda was roughly around 8-12 points (when comparing my actual test day to my practice scores before I met Amanda). I am currently taking time to prepare to apply to medical schools for next year’s application cycle. Thank you again, Amanda!

I completed The Brem Method’s 5-week MCAT course with the goal of achieving a score competitive score for M.D. programs. From the beginning, Amanda was welcoming and encouraging of my MCAT goals and made herself available to help answer questions and provide guidance. During the course, I really appreciated Amanda’s tips on MCAT-specific test-taking strategies and the plethora of resources she offered to aid in my review of challenging topics. The course helped me become a stronger standardized test taker, and showed me the value of approaching the MCAT from a practice question approach rather than just studying from a textbook. I believed what also helped from Amanda’s course was the positive encouragement I received from the entire Brem Method Team. I felt ready and prepared for test day and the results showed. I believe that learners who are intentional and accountable with their studying and are ready to commit to a program that is well-structured will benefit the most from The Brem Method services. I am happy I went through the course and am proud to share I will be matriculating into a U.S. M.D. program this upcoming year.

If I had to start studying for the MCAT over again, I would have met with Amanda from day one. When I started studying the first time, I had no idea where to even start studying. I sat down with a stack of Kaplan prep books and no set schedule. I spent months reading the books from cover to cover mindlessly taking notes and not absorbing the material at all. It was months before I took a practice exam or even incorporated practice passages into my study routine. Moral of the story, I wasted months of study time because I never did the research on how to study for the MCAT. Amanda does all this research for you. She knows more about the MCAT than the AAMC and if you work with her, she will share this great wealth of knowledge with you. Even if you chose not to do the one-on-one sessions but opt for the classes, she will go over all these tips and tricks to set you up for success on the MCAT. Preparing for the MCAT is way more involved than just sitting down to study. Many things need to be considered during this planning period and these priorities can also change throughout your preparation period. Amanda will sit down with you and plan out your study schedule down to the day! She makes studying for the MCAT manageable and not overwhelming. Having a schedule to structure your studying is half the battle and when working with Amanda this work is done for you. The most valuable time I spent with Amanda was reviewing practice exams. She teaches you how to analyze your scores, how to look for improvements and areas that still need work. She points out the type of questions you struggle with and what questions you get correct every time. Based off this analysis, she will change your study schedule for that week to accommodate those areas of weakness. Not only does she analyze your practice exam scores, but she goes over individual questions with you. This is so important because one aspect of taking the MCAT if learning how to take the test. Certain topics are always tested in the same way and once you realize these patterns your score is already bound to increase. Amanda in one way or another has seen all the questions on the AAMC practice exams and UWorld. She knows what the questions are trying to test and is able to teach you the best way to approach each question. Since working with Amanda, I’ve become a more efficient learner. I use her energy scale to this day when I sit down to study for my classes. I know that if I’m tired or hungry or haven’t worked out yet, I won’t be able to focus well and that any time spent with the material won’t be worthwhile. She taught me to assess where I’m at before starting a study session. She also taught me about the Pomodoro Method. I now chunk out my study sessions and give myself frequent brain breaks to make sure the time I spend studying is quality, focused time. Before working with Amanda, I would try to power through hours of studying at once just to get it done and out of the way. The result was time I’ll never get back and minimal material retained. Aside from studying, Amanda will also guide you through test day and test day preparation. Right from the beginning she will have you sitting for full length practice exams. This is something no one wants to do, but does wonders for you when you make it to test day. It is important to simulate your test day as close as possible during these practice exams to find what works so you can be most prepared on test day. It sounds silly and feels weird when you’re doing your practice exams at home, but I felt relaxed on test day and that’s the goal! My MCAT journey has been quite the uphill battle. Between the pandemic canceling my first MCAT date, deciding to delay applying not once but three times, and trying to work full time while studying, Amanda has supported me through it all. While I was studying, she would change my study schedule as often as needed to allow for work and other life events. After taking the MCAT once, she followed up with me after scores were released and offered to continue to tutor when we decided I would need to retake. And even after studying a second time and deciding to delay taking the MCAT, she agreed to continue working with me after I complete my master’s degree. Along the way Amanda provided insight and suggestions that made me feel supported and worthy. There was never a doubt in her mind that I could do well on the MCAT which translated directly to confidence in myself when thinking about this exam. If you are willing to put in the work Amanda assigns, she will get you to the score you want. I’m less stressed about taking this exam knowing that Amanda has the resources to get me to where I need to be. One final bonus about Amanda is she shares my love of the outdoors and acknowledges the importance of a weekly ski and hike day while studying. Stay tuned for my score increase :)

I came to Amanda incredibly disheartened and overwhelmed with the idea of an MCAT retake, but she gave me so much confidence and constant support through our time together! If you need accountability, guidance, or just someone to take the stress of study planning away, I can't recommend Amanda enough! MCAT tutors aren't just for struggling students either; everyone can benefit from The Brem Method :)

I never thought I would have it in me to tackle this exam and succeed in the end but Amanda never doubted it for a second and my score definitely showed it! She helped me understand how to best the approach the exam while also letting my studying fit around my own schedule and not the other way around. I’m very thankful for all the skills I learned, but most of all, the boost in confidence Amanda gave me that made me excited for the rest of my med school journey :-)!

I learned the value of focusing on non-content related strategies when preparing for the MCAT. Working on my lifestyle choices in conjunction with my studying helped me feel a lot better on test day. After starting the course, my ideas of what a realistic study schedule looked like changed. I had initially overloaded myself when I made my own schedule, so it was helpful to see what was expected of me was not necessarily going to be the most overwhelming schedule I had ever seen. I liked how Amanda approached the strategy of taking an exam, and I found the passage restructuring technique to be the most helpful strategy she provided. While taking the course, utilize the schedule as your most important resource! You will not get as much out of the course if you are not keeping up with the schedule.

Amanda’s course is absolutely one of a kind and I mean that in the best way. For being an online course, she has a special way of cultivating a safe learning space. I would have times of confusion or struggle with certain topics but even when I asked questions or got answers wrong in the chat I never felt discouraged nor embarrassed. I also very much enjoyed the structure of her course and pre-work material. I felt that it helped me get the content done and not feel as overwhelmed. My biggest piece of advice and also what makes this course so special is Amanda herself. She has a wealth of knowledge and knows what she is talking about when it comes to anything – MCAT related, testing mindset, physical and mental health, medical school process, etc. If you follow all her advice, complete the mindset/fitness goals, and complete the course – you will not only most likely get the score you want but you will have the skills (and a new sense of confidence) that will follow you into medical school for your future exams.

1:1 Coaching with Brianna

Brianna was the answer to my MCAT prayers. I had so many questions—not just about content, but about the logistics of the exam and how to stay mentally strong throughout the process. Having a coach who truly understood what the MCAT demands helped keep me grounded and built my confidence every step of the way.

She had a remarkable ability to take difficult topics and break them down into simpler, more manageable parts. When I told her I needed to see math problems worked out visually, she took the time to figure out how to do that effectively over Zoom. She also spent extra time to fully go over the topics I requested.

What stood out most was how relatable and supportive she was. I never felt judged for asking questions or admitting where I struggled. Her encouragement and empathy made a huge difference.

Brianna truly got me across the finish line. Without her guidance, I might have delayed my test date again and missed the chance to apply to medical school this cycle. I’m so grateful for her support.

Before joining the course, I felt overwhelmed by the amount of MCAT material I needed to master while balancing a full-time job. The Brem Method provided the structure and confidence I needed to stay focused and make consistent progress. By the end of the course, I felt prepared and ready to succeed on exam day.

I am grateful for Rachel and The Brem Method! Their guidance changed the way I approached the exam and helped me to conquer the MCAT one section at a time. Rachel also helped me overcome my test anxiety by understanding where my anxiety was coming from and developing coping strategies. Throughout every high and low of my studying process, Rachel was only an email away and for that I am forever grateful. In the one month that I worked with Rachel, my scored improved by 10 points, I currently have three medical school acceptances, and I am waiting to hear back from 4 more schools post interview!

Enrolling in The Brem Method was the single best decision I made in preparation for the MCAT. Going into the course, I felt discouraged, overwhelmed, and unsure about pretty much everything I had done so far. But by the time the course was done, I felt hopeful, encouraged, and uplifted to do the best I could on the exam. Amanda's magic is simplifying content I once thought was complex, and demystifying strategies I once thought were inscrutable. The results speak for themselves -- I had a 16 point increase from the AAMC practice exam I took right before the course, to the last AAMC practice exam I took right before my real-deal exam. But beyond a score increase, I don't think I could have gone into test day as calmly, gratefully, and confidently as I did without Amanda and the TBM community's support. PS: If you're wondering whether you should take the course, I'd highly recommend tuning into a YouTube Live session to get a taste of what classes are like, and watching some of Amanda's incredible (truly) YouTube videos to learn more about her teaching style. Thank you so much, TBM Team!

I cannot recommend this course highly enough! After struggling with other MCAT prep programs that didn’t work for me, I found Amanda’s course to be a game-changer. Her in-depth knowledge of the exam and strategic guidance equips students with the information and skills necessary for success. This course helped me build the confidence to trust my reasoning and improved my efficiency as both a learner and test-taker. Previously, I would get bogged down in the fine details of material during my pre-med coursework. Amanda’s approach taught me how to prioritize and focus on what truly matters, avoiding unnecessary content. Her methodical review of foundational concepts across all subjects was especially valuable, as I hadn’t taken many of these courses in over five years. One of the standout aspects of the course was the emphasis on mental preparation. The MCAT is an intense exam, and stress and burnout had previously hindered my progress. Simulating test-day conditions through practice exams and question sets proved essential in helping me feel as comfortable as possible on the actual exam day. With Amanda’s comprehensive resources and personalized progress reports, I achieved an incredible 18-point score increase. I owe my success to this course and the invaluable tools it provided!

Thanks to the structured and focused approach, I saw a significant improvement in my MCAT score. One of the best aspects of the course was how accurately the material aligned with what actually appeared on the exam. Amanda has an incredible ability to highlight the most important points, and it felt like many of the topics she emphasized during our classes were exactly what I saw on test day. The course was very well-organized, and she created a learning environment that was both supportive and motivating. Each session was purposeful, keeping us engaged and confident in our progress. Thanks to her guidance and this course, I recently got accepted into medical school for fall 2025. If you're serious about improving your score and getting into med school, this is the course for you!

The Amanda Brem MCAT Prep Course helped me better grasp the material and how to tackle very vigorous standardized exams. They helped with building endurance to take a long exam like the MCAT and how to avoid fatigue. My favorite part was the 1:1 coaching with the assistant coach, Rachel, and Amanda Brem! The 1:1’s really helped me feel strongly connected to not only the prep course material but also professionally. My biggest piece of advice would be to stay in a routine and to don’t be afraid to ask questions! I went from a 492 to a 503. An 11 point increase with the help of Amanda Brem and her team! I’m currently applying to medical school.

My favorite part about working with Amanda and The Brem Method was how much Amanda helped me get stronger mentally before taking the MCAT. I felt fairly confident in my content knowledge after my first exam and had to figure out what I needed to change in order to reach my goal score the second time. I think the addition of strategic and tactical help as well as the visualization and confidence boosters that Amanda incorporated into The Brem Method was what really helped me succeed. Amanda taught me how to review my practice tests honestly and really use them to learn how to get better. I was able to improve my score by 12 points with Amanda’s help and advice. Amanda’s ability to teach students about their learning and test taking style and to adapt her teaching strategy to whatever will help them succeed is invaluable. I am so grateful that I chose The Brem Method to help me prepare for the MCAT and I am now looking forward to starting medical school at BU in August!
