The AI Flywheel-Trustworthy AI course is a super practical, hands-on experience that helps designers think deeply about building real trust with AI, gives tons of useful tools and prompts, and totally shifts how you approach your work.
Plus it’s packed with real-life tips for fixing things if trust ever breaks down, making it a must for anyone serious about creating AI people actually want to use
The course packs in practical exercises and resources that make it easy to design considered AI experiences, focused on trust and collaboration, covering every step so you know how to build - and if needed, repair - trust in human-AI relationships.
The course really got me thinking about my role - now I focus on building real human-AI relationships, jump into the tough questions, and use the course’s awesome prompting tips to speed up, and improve the quality of my research and make my work more valuable.
Highly recommend for anyone serious about developing trusted AI solutions and who want to level up their skills in this area - Riley’s content is unique and reflects their solid background in this area. But don’t expect lightweight content - there’s a rich suite of tools to draw upon, leaving no stone unturned in the world of responsible AI

The course provided good coverage of both the concepts around key ethical challenges when designing trustworthy AI, as well as applied examples of what that might look in practice either in a public case study or by using a hypothetical AI-assisted process flow for a fictional health insurance company and unpacking and discussing key aspects.
There is also a big element of this course that encourages experimenting with AI tools to introduce them into your workflow whilst maintaining awareness of your ethical responsibilities.
It was really helpful to have someone guiding and encouraging experimentation with introducing new AI tools into my workflow, even though I didn’t sign up to the course for that reason. It ended up being a much bigger component to the course than I had originally anticipated which was good for me based on where I am at with adopting AI tools into my workflow. Something to consider though if you don't need to focus in that area.
I really liked repeatedly returning to the same scenario of the hypothetical AI-assisted process flow for a fictional health insurance company and unpacking and discussing key aspects of the ethical challenges and decision points. It would be good to increase that aspect of the course and to practice applying the ethical challenges & decisions at the level of a product team and specifically for my role as user experience designer.
Yes I would recommend this course to others who are looking for an introduction into understanding key ethical challenges when designing trustworthy AI, but also if you are keen to introduce AI tools into your product or design workflow. Riley is also a very helpful and supportive learning facilitator and is always ready to tweak parts of the course based on feedback as well as provide additional resources.
