Honored to be a keynote speaker at the Jersey City Tech Meetup last week. 🎤 What made it especially meaningful was doing it alongside my longtime friend and colleague Ben Yurcisin, who I first met over 10 years ago when he came to one of my meetups in New York City. A real full-circle moment. Ben has built something incredibly valuable with this community—practical, focused, and filled with people genuinely building and contributing. It was also wonderful to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new ones.

The best way to start New York FinTech Week? By coming in 2nd at a pitch competition! Earlier this week in New York, we pitched Merble at Wallet Max's Fintech Pitch Competition and came away with second place. Thank you to the judges Sherrise Pond, Heather E. Balke, Tiffany P. for the thoughtful questions and the time they gave us and for Bhuva Shakti for the invitation.

Thank you Bhuva Shakti it was a fantastic event. Hearing everyone's pitches like PlusZero and WombWatch was inspiring and set the tone for an amazing NYC Tech Week for Sly. Looking forward to Wallet Max summit in September!

TECH WEEK by a16z is a wrap, and one thought was consistent through all of it: the agentic economy can't run without trust. That is the layer Sly builds. The highlights stacked up fast. A win at the Wallet Max Pitching Event (below). Incredible conversations about the next wave of LatAm fintechs at Latino Tech Week with Pygma. Building alongside the startups of the agentic economy at the Agentic Summit with Crossmint and Merit Systems. Visiting the a16z speedrun AI Faire, watching the next wave of agentic startups like Alike.work take shape. And at JPMorganChase panels on the agentic marketplace future with teams like Tavily. From there we went straight into #ETHConfNYC, and we have been riding that high ever since: new conversations turning into real work, and more in the works. The whole week validated the thesis: identity, governance and rails are the prerequisites for agentic economy. This is what Sly was built to solve. This is just the start. This is an informative discussion. "AI is more of adaptation than a transformation" that's beautifully said. Implementation might still seem inconsistent; AI ethics is no longer optional considering Data :)

This is a timely discussion. As AI adoption matures, I believe the conversation is naturally shifting from ethics to accountability. Ethical principles are important, but organizations ultimately need operational frameworks that make those principles measurable, verifiable, and enforceable.
