I found this webinar informative, well-structured, and helpful in a general educational sense. It clearly explains how the presenters view peptides, how they frame the “Research Use Only” model, and how fitness or wellness professionals in their market might try to talk about peptides without openly diagnosing, prescribing, or making direct medical claims. The course was especially useful for understanding business positioning, messaging strategy, onboarding systems, disclaimers, and how some coaches try to structure resale, affiliate, or partnership models around peptide-related services. What I appreciated most was that the webinar tried to emphasize caution, boundaries, and documentation. It also gave practical examples of how language, marketing, and client communication can create legal risk. From a broad learning perspective, it was helpful because it showed how some professionals are attempting to build a peptide-adjacent business without presenting themselves as medical prescribers. However, after reviewing it in the context of New Zealand, I do not believe the webinar is directly applicable to people from this country as a business model. The reason is that the course appears to be built around a U.S.-style RUO framework, while New Zealand has its own medicines, advertising, and regulatory rules. In NZ, the issue is not solved by simply adding a disclaimer or calling something “Research Use Only.” Regulators look at the overall substance of the product, advertising, offer, and intended use. Medsafe states that unapproved medicines generally cannot be advertised, except for a narrow exemption related to medical conferences. This is especially important because the course teaches business models such as resale, affiliate, and partnership, along with client onboarding systems, pricing structures, peptide screening, and peptide-specific support documents. In New Zealand, those kinds of activities may go beyond neutral education and start to look like conduct connected to the promotion, facilitation, or supply of medicines. The Medicines Act defines “medical advertisement” broadly, including advertising likely to cause a person to believe it relates to a medicine, an ingredient, or a method of treatment for a therapeutic purpose. Another reason it is not directly applicable to me is that the course materials appear to support individualized peptide use through tools like screening PDFs, peptide guides, journals, terms of use, and client check-in systems. In my view, that may be much riskier in New Zealand because it can imply suitability assessment, individualized recommendation, or human-use facilitation. Under the Medicines Act, medical advertisements are subject to further restrictions, including claims made directly or by implication about preventing, alleviating, or curing diseases or physiological conditions. The advertising side is another major reason the webinar is not a clean fit for NZ. The ASA Therapeutic and Health Advertising Code applies across media, including an advertiser’s own website and social media channels, and the updated code takes effect for new advertising from 1 April 2026. That means a peptide business in New Zealand cannot safely assume that social posts, captions, user-generated content, or branded educational materials sit outside the advertising rules. The webinar also discusses peptides such as BPC-157, but that is particularly sensitive in the New Zealand setting. Medsafe materials show BPC-157 has been recommended as a prescription medicine, and meeting minutes record the committee agreeing with that proposal. That makes public business activity around such compounds even less suitable for a generic coaching or wellness model in NZ. Because of all this, my conclusion is that the webinar was useful as a general learning resource for understanding how peptide-related businesses are being framed internationally, especially from a U.S. perspective. It helped me understand the language, systems, and commercial structures that people are using. But as someone based in New Zealand, I do not consider the course directly applicable as a ready-to-use business blueprint. New Zealand’s rules around unapproved medicines, therapeutic advertising, and medicine-related promotion are stricter in ways that make this model much riskier to implement here without specialist NZ legal advice. My overall view is: Very informative and professionally presented in general, but not something I can safely adopt as-is in New Zealand.
