I'm Goran Spoljaric, an award-winning filmmaker of horror films. I'm creating a psychological-horror film, my debut feature. Prior to the Accelerator, I was less confident about raising finance and was less assured about how to handle the business side of the industry. Now, from having consumed the modules and taken part in the Q&As, I've got a roadmap for how I can finance my film and tackle the business concerns. In short, Alexi is great at scaling down the mountain that is the filmmaking process into achievable steps. It's been the best investment in my career, and I have a plan for my current film, as well as for my career beyond it. Highly recommended.

Featuring a week by week series of lectures and exercises to complete, great insights and tips from a producer who has been there and done that, plus highly helpful support and feedback along the way from Alexi himself, the Producer Accelerator will do exactly that: get you onto the fast track to production. I highly recommended this course for all serious filmmakers.

I came into the Producing Accelerator having spent a few years learning the ropes of indie producing mostly by trial and error. I knew I wanted to make a leap into higher budget producing and to do that I needed someone to guide me! The course contained all of the missing links that I hadn’t been able to figure out by myself, especially around financing features, and having Alexi there to consult with to make sure the plan is exactly right has been invaluable. We’ll be taking my script out to cast and finance this year, with the intention to film next year, and because of the Producing Accelerator I’m confident in exactly how to get this project off the ground and filmed with the budget it deserves.

The Exile Accelerator is an incredible program. Alexandros takes you on the journey of making your first film and he is there helping you at every step. It is like film school condensed to a few weeks and you also make a film! You learn how to develop your project, budget it, finance it, pitch it, distribute it and what is most important is that Alex is always available for any questions and support along the way. I think it is the best program out there for beginning filmmakers who want to produce their first or second film and learn skills that will help them for ever.

The information present in the course is invaluable to anyone ready to begin their producer journey. I was left feeling knowledgable and confident. And Alexi has been there evey step of the way to answer questions, and/or give input/advice. I am happy with the program and will continue to enjoy my access to the program whenever I want to revisit the information.

Before starting the course I was facing an issue of not knowing where to start regarding raising private finance, as well as want to know more intricate details of financing and budgeting for feature films. Working with Alexi during the program was insightful, informative and professional. Now that I’ve completed the course, I’m moving my feature film project towards production, currently focused on the final stages of developing the script to its fullest potential. If anyone asked me about the course, I’d say if you’re missing a crucial piece in your producing skillset, then do the course and fill in the gaps.

I came into this pretty much not knowing anything about film financing and this course has taught me an incredible amount. The information that is contained in the course plus the guidance and assistance from Alexi has completely changed the way I see and understand the financing side of the business. Thanks to this, my project is now in a really strong position that I would otherwise not have been in.

I came into Alexi's course very new to the Producing scene. I have a background as a film and theatre actor, and started my creating and producing life in 2015 with my own theatre work. It wasn't until 2017 when I move into independent film producing. As most of us do I was making it up as I went along, learning from my mistakes, and trying new approaches each time I delved into a new production. I was lucky I was only producing for small productions but new if I wanted to go bigger, into producing my own feature I needed to get some structure around producing. I also came to realise what was holding me back from attracting and wanting to work on larger scale productions was my understanding of finance, how to raise it, the avenues to find it, and the processes around dealing with finance. Up until then I guess I had mainly been working as a line producer rather than the top producer financing projects. When I came across Alex's course it was perfect timing as a project I had been working was starting to gain traction and get bigger. Alexi is a joy to work with. Very open and transparent, yet concise and honest about the industry and how he has worked in it. This makes it very easy to ask questions and you feel very supported and part of a team / network rather than the student /teacher hierarchy that can often happen. The support he continues to offer after the course is done is AMAZING! 2 open calls a week to ask or chat about anything to do with your projects is truly an ongoing lifeline I am very grateful for. Having gone through the course and knowing there is a community I can connect with has helped me step up as a Producer and has given me the confidence to work pragmatically and creatively with finance, rather than be scared of it! If you are thinking of taking this course I highly recommend you do as it truly is the course that keeps on giving and informing.. and hopefully we will get to meet one day too!

I had a good script and a super talented actor attached to the project but I had no idea where to go from there. I could see how the film would be made in terms of craft but I didn't know how to get to the first day of production. I spoke with Alexi for 45 mins in mid December 2021. At the end of the 45 mins I was transformed from an ideological dreamer filmmaker into a proactive, practical producer who could see a clear procedural narrative in front of me. Alexi walked through the step by step process from great script to festival screening. From that point I knew how to begin a functioning career making films and not relying on luck or signing over my creative integrity.
