I never thought I’d actually decide to get my GED let alone finish and graduate! I am immensely proud of myself and of everyone who doubted themselves at first but persevered and made it through! This wasn’t a small feat! We did it! Celebrate! And may our next venture(s) be just as successful! ❤️

My name is Yves Akonkwa. My GED journey was challenging but life-changing. Growing up in a refugee camp, access to education was limited, and every opportunity to learn felt uncertain. Despite these struggles, I stayed determined and committed to my goals. I passed my GED on June 26, 2025.

I thank my fiance for always believing in me. And for pushing me forward. When not even I believe in me she did. So I know this is my acomplishment. But I also think she helped me so much.

This was a huge milestone in my life! I am so glad that after so many years I was able to accomplish this goal and finish high-school 🙌 shout out to class of 2026.

I want to give a shoutout to myself. My actual graduate year was 2019, I dropped out of highschool 3 separate times. I went back August of 2025 to get my ged and received it by October of 2025. I spent long hours grinding in and out of class and did it!! Congrats to everyone else keep going!!
