I really enjoyed this biophilic design course. The content was engaging, inspiring, and very informative.
As a native Spanish speaker, I missed having transcripts or captions, which would have made the course easier to follow and review. I also think Module 1 could be a bit shorter, while Module 3 could be expanded since it covers the most practical and applicable biophilic design patterns.
Overall, it's a great course that I'd happily recommend.

I work as a Marketing, Communications & Events Specialist at LioniX International, where I manage the company's global marketing, communications, and events. My role focuses on making complex technologies accessible through strategic communication, education, and community engagement.
The course completely changed the way I observe the spaces around me. I now find myself noticing why certain environments feel welcoming, restorative, or energizing, while others feel stressful or uninspiring. It has given me a new perspective on how our surroundings influence our wellbeing, behaviour, and everyday experiences, whether at home, in the workplace, or in public spaces.
For me, the greatest strength of the course is how it brings together knowledge from biology, psychology, architecture, urban planning, and environmental science into one coherent framework. It provides a solid foundation for understanding biophilic design while encouraging you to see familiar environments through a completely different lens. I especially appreciated how the course combines scientific research with practical examples, making the concepts both credible and engaging.
Personally, I want to become more intentional about creating healthier and more restorative spaces in my own daily life. Professionally, I see opportunities to apply these principles to workplaces, events, and communication by helping create environments that support wellbeing, creativity, and meaningful human experiences. I also hope to continue raising awareness of biophilic design and its potential to improve the spaces where we spend so much of our lives.

Environmental and Energy Systems Engineering at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts
truly appreciate how the professors and guest speakers explain the topics during the Zoom sessions. It is not just about learning something new from scratch, but rather about reconnecting with knowledge from the past—drawing inspiration from our ancestors, indigenous cultures, and the natural environment. This course creates a strong and meaningful foundation in biophilic design, encouraging us to reflect on our relationship with other species and to envision a more sustainable and harmonious future.

I've always been fascinated by the difference between the built environment and our basic human needs. I thought I was alone in this - but this course helped me see how many smart and forward-thinking individuals are moving the industry towards human-centered and human-scale design!
