What I've shared with Marcus is that they could further build on this approach by adding the methodologies that have already been developed in direct lineage from Dana over the past 2+ decades by Mark W. McElroy, PhD (who chaired Dana's Sustainability Institute before and after her premature 2001 death) with the practice of Context-Based Sustainability (CBS), a conceptual framework for applying Dana's thinking around "limits" (ie thresholds) to the business context (as I noted to Marcus, the other thinkers they note upfront -- Rockstrom, Raworth, Hickel, etc... -- likewise work with sustainability thresholds at broader scales of application, not at the business scale -- CBS is unique in that sense). I have been a strong proponent of CBS ever since I first encountered it in the early oughts.
Much of what Marcus and Oscar do is intuitively similar to CBS, which is a great validation! I look forward to further development of their approaches. In the meanwhile, do check out their guide -- it offers a novel approach!

What I've shared with Marcus is that they could further build on this approach by adding the methodologies that have already been developed in direct lineage from Dana over the past 2+ decades by Mark W. McElroy, PhD (who chaired Dana's Sustainability Institute before and after her premature 2001 death) with the practice of Context-Based Sustainability (CBS), a conceptual framework for applying Dana's thinking around "limits" (ie thresholds) to the business context (as I noted to Marcus, the other thinkers they note upfront -- Rockstrom, Raworth, Hickel, etc... -- likewise work with sustainability thresholds at broader scales of application, not at the business scale -- CBS is unique in that sense). I have been a strong proponent of CBS ever since I first encountered it in the early oughts.
Much of what Marcus and Oscar do is intuitively similar to CBS, which is a great validation! I look forward to further development of their approaches. In the meanwhile, do check out their guide -- it offers a novel approach!
