Last week I attended the PPC Summit of PPC Mastery in Copenhagen. A day full of inspiration, knowledge and good conversations. What I remember most of all: - Miles McNair who addressed the challenges within agencies & freelancers - Frederik Boysen about POAS and predicted LTV - Quint van der Meer about making an impact without extra advertising budget - Niklas Buschner with a very inspiring and motivating talk - Alfred Simon who knew how to explain complex concepts in an accessible way - Taylor Housden who won the award with his "less, but better" principle In addition to the talks, it was also very valuable to speak to people in real life again. Such as Geert Groot and Matinique Roelse, with whom I caught up extensively. What I like about these kinds of events: you always come back with new ideas and angles to help customers better. Until the next one..

We didn’t take home the big win, but honestly, second place in a field like this feels almost just as good. Last Friday was the first-ever PPC Summit in Copenhagen, and it was a great one. Huge credit to Bob, Miles and Frederik and his team for putting together such a solid event. The speaker lineup alone was packed with people we really look up to. The day itself was full of good energy, inspiring talks, and great people wrapped up with a relaxed dinner that somehow turned into a late-night out for a few of us. As one of the shortlisted cases, Quint had the chance to represent Taskforce™ and share our case study in front of ~250 PPC pros. With all the different entries from some of the best agencies we know, grabbing second place feels like a real win. It was great seeing friends in the industry and meeting new people. One for the books. Taylor Housden, congrats! Well-deserved first place!

I do not post a lot of content on LinkedIn, but wow, I just wrapped up a packed PPC week. Huge shout out to Bob Meijer, Miles McNair and Frederik Boysen for hosting a great first PPC Summit that by far exceeded my expectations. Incredible speakers with so much inspiring and actually motivating content. After 10 years in the industry this event has once more hooked me on learning more, creating more, building more, but also reducing noise to focus on the fundamentals. I’m very glad so many people from the PPC hub came to Copenhagen to create a face to face community, that up until last week only existed behind a screen for me. Thanks to everyone who made the last few days very geeky, motivating and incredibly joyful! What a crazy busy but great week!

Yesterday I joined the PPC Summit in Copenhagen. A room full of sharp, like-minded people who live and breathe growth. We ended the night with a group dinner - same restaurant where I had solo-dined the night before, when I had just arrived in the city. This morning, running on little sleep, I had a sauna session planned at Nordhavn. The booking got canceled last minute, but instead of going back to the hotel, I stayed. The sun rose. Locals gathered. I jumped into the cold water with them. And again, a new story unfolded: conversations with Danish regulars, and with a German founder sharing tales of building and traveling the world. That’s what I love about life: the unexpected. You show up, you talk to people, you say yes, and you walk away with new stories, new perspectives, new energy. For me, life is about collecting these stories. The good, the bad, the random. Because every story makes your world a little bigger. Thanks to Miles McNair , Bob Meijer , Frederik Boysen for organizing and creating the opportunity for these stories to unfold. 📸 Sunrise at Nordhavn, seconds before diving in.

So much enjoyed the PPC Summit, organized by Bob Meijer, Miles McNair and ProfitMetrics.io. First edition of this congress, and can only say that it was really very good! A few insights: - Miles McNair talked about Google Ads Tunnel Vision and that you only really make a difference as a Google Ads Specialist by becoming proficient in factors outside of Google Ads. He knew how to make the theory about T-Shaped Google Ads Specialist very tangible and I will definitely work with his profiles; these can be perfectly included in our Job Scorecards and the growth path for our employees. - Frederik Boysen of course told about his tool ProfitMetrics, but absolutely no sales pitch. It was about returning customers and the possibilities to take lifetime value with them. Super interesting! A few takeaways from his story: - ROAS tells you what you sold, POAS tells you what you made. - Predicted LTV sounds smart - until the future doesn't deliver the profit you already pair for. - When you bid for new customers, make sure thee really are new - Google often gets it wrong. - Niklas Buschner told me about his agency that grew fast, but also fell hard. He learned three important lessons. When he started working with these three lessons within his own agency, he wrote positive figures again. - Most agencies have no clear ICP - Most agencies overpromiss and underdeliver - Most agencies are to inefficient Nice story! Inspiring and certainly recognizable lessons ☺️ The photo accompanying this post came from his presentation. - Andrew Lolk was the closing song and - after first expertly pushing AI Search off the table - talked about Smart Bidding. You would think that we all know that by now, but he managed to make me think again. Enough ideas to play with and test. Bob, Miles and ProfitMetrics, thanks for the organization! Hopefully you will choose a cool location for the next edition, then we will definitely be there again dTLS. Online Marketing! Last Friday Jelle den Uijl and I were at the PPC Summit in Copenhagen! A great location for a super cool event. With the organization by PPC Mastery 's Miles McNair and Bob Meijer and ProfitMetrics.io 's Frederik Boysen, it could of course only be a success. And it certainly was! The event was entirely dedicated to PPC specialists 🚀 From deep dives into new customer acquisition and optimizing campaigns for long-term profitability, to practical tips to get even more out of your results. What inspired me most is the look ahead: how do we, as specialists, prepare for a future that still has so many uncertainties? Of course, AI played a major role in this. And to be honest: I will apply the FAFO mindset (F*ck Around and Find Out) more often in my daily work. Experiment, learn, fine-tune. A quote that I will definitely take with me: "You don't have to be an expert in everything, you just have to see what others don't see." It underlines that as a specialist you have to go deep into one subject, but at the same time look broadly enough to see connections that others may miss. That is where the real added value lies. The so-called T-shaped specialist. In any case, I bring a lot of valuable knowledge to my team. Thank you Johan Holst Braad for the invite to the event! It was nice to meet you in person. #PPC #PPCSummit #GoogleAds

Just returned from the PPC Summit in Copenhagen 🇩🇰 A day full of sharp insights, real-life cases, and meaningful conversations. What stood out most was the depth of the content. No high-level stuff, but talks that actually dove into the details that matter in day-to-day PPC work. Also great to finally connect in person with other specialists again, sometimes those hallway conversations bring just as much value as the sessions themselves. Plenty of new ideas and inspiration to bring back into current and future projects, let's go! #PPCSummit #PPC #SearchMarketing #DigitalMarketing Adwise - Your Digital Brain, PPC Mastery, ProfitMetrics.io

The feedback from the team was great: the trip was a great success, and we returned to Finland inspired and with notebooks full of new ideas. 📌 A few key topics that are currently being talked about by Europe's top players regarding SEM: -Methods and strategies for acquiring new customers -CLV-based optimization -Product strategies and scoring (We're further along😉 here) -The impact of e-commerce advertising on offline sales -Utilizing AI agents in the everyday life of a PPC consultant In many things, we are already on the crest of the wave, but there are always more opportunities 📈 for growth.

I started the year with a promise to myself to get out more, travel more. And here I am, back from The PPC Summit in Copenhagen at 1am this morning (I'm definitely having a siesta this pm!) 👭 I'd got out of the habit of in-person networking - let's face it, if you're an introvert or ambivert (like me), the thought of spending 12 hrs+ with complete strangers or people that you've only chatted to online is somewhat overwhelming. ✈️ Combined with the fact it was my first solo travel outside of the UK, something which hit hard when I arrived at my hotel late Thursday night. 😅 I need not have worried. I'm so grateful to have met Sandra (Sandi) Walsh who is such a wonderful person (everyone needs her in their lives!) & she's a fantastic connector, introducing everyone to everyone. I met so many interesting people, had a lot of deep conversations and a lot of laughs. Oh, I also learned a few things (most of which I'm still processing.) 🛑 So the point of my post? I guess, embrace the experiences that make you feel uncomfortable, your life will be so much more enriched for it.

I'm back in Australia after heading all the way to Copenhagen for the very first The PPC Hub conference. I’ll be honest, I questioned whether it was worth flying halfway around the world for a one-day Google Ads conference. But hand on heart, I can say it 100% was worth it. Not only because the case case studies inspiring and the speakers really motivating, but because it connected me with incredible PPC freelance specialists from all over the world. Working for yourself, by yourself can get super isolating at times and this sort of network is priceless. The time spent with this group was so rewarding and validating. Everyone was open about the same pain points that we’re all facing and there was zero gatekeeping or ego in the room. Just people genuinely sharing strategies, struggles and success stories and eager to help each other. It made the whole freelancer business model feel a whole lot less lonely and these amazing people made it completely worth it. A huge shout-out to Maximilian Platz for being such a great host for the co-working days and to Miles McNair and Bob Meijer, you guys have built something really special in The PPC Hub. And also Frederik Boysen and the team at ProfitMetrics.io for getting us all together. If you're a freelancer who runs Google ads I can't recommend joining The PPC Hub enough. It's the best investment I've made for my business. Think of it as the super knowledgeable senior who taught you everything you know from your very first agency job, but the 2025 version. Already looking forward to next year!

🔥 What an incredible couple of days at the PPC Summit in Copenhagen! It was hands down the best PPC event I’ve attended — I learned so much and, even more importantly, finally got to meet so many amazing people I’ve been talking with online for years. It was also really special to finally meet Miles McNair in person after two years! 🙌 A big thanks to Maximilian Platz for organizing the pre-event dinner — it set the perfect tone for the summit and was such a fun way to connect before diving into the sessions. As freelancers we often work alone, and it can feel isolating at times. But being surrounded by so many like-minded people reminded me again why I love this industry — the energy, the passion, and the community are simply unmatched. 💡✨ Already looking forward to the next one! 🚀

3 things I never expected in my career: 1. That I would win an award at an international conference 2. See point 1 3. See point 1! 😯 On Friday, I suddenly found myself on stage at the PPC Summit in Copenhagen. With an award in my hands. How? Haha. 😅 I'm still so surprised! The 3 lessons I learned from this: 👉 Sharing your learning to help others pays off 👉 Thinking along with customers outside of Google Ads is very valuable 👉 Life is more beautiful outside your comfort zone As also said in my speech* (for 200 attendees): "Thank you to all the members of the The PPC Hub for voting for me. It means a lot to me! And thank you Bob Meijer and Miles McNair for the amazing PPC Hub that has had a huge impact on both my career and my personal life. Thank you!!" * I wasn't nervous at all ;) PS. footage from the PPC Summit will follow, this is the only 'evidence' I have. And posing at home with my award feels so boastful. Or should that have been allowed? 😉 --- 🙋🏼 ♀️ Hi, I'm Hester Geerdink and I'm sharing tips to help your webshop grow. 💡 Follow me on LinkedIn for e-commerce tips & tricks!

Last Friday, I had the chance to attend the PPC Summit: Copenhagen Edition together with my colleague Marcel Iancau - and it was a full day packed with sharp insights, fresh perspectives, and just the right dose of inspiration. ✅ From practical Google Ads tactics you can implement tomorrow... ✅ … to big-picture ideas about AI, automation, and the future of agencies. One of my personal highlights? 👉 I got to meet Miles McNair, one of the co-founders of PPC Hub. Let’s just say I’ve ticked off half of a long-standing goal - and yes, I have the picture to prove it! 😄 Next time, Bob Meijer, I’m coming for you too! A few standout sessions that stuck with me: 🔹 Miles McNair on breaking the "Google Ads tunnel vision" 🔹 Niklas Buschner on building the agency of the future - practical, honest, no fluff 🔹 Alfred Simon walking us through building your first Google Ads Agent with AI 🔹 Frederik Boysen, Andrew Lolk, Gokce Yesilbas, and many others delivering gold Beyond the talks, the biggest value? → Connecting with agency leaders, marketers, and business owners from all over the world who face the same challenges and want to grow smart. 💡 My key takeaway: If you're running ads in 2025 and not thinking about AI, automation, and business metrics, you're already behind. Until next time, PPC Summit! #PPCSummit #PerformanceMarketing #GoogleAds #AgencyLife #DigitalGrowth #AIinMarketing #B2BMarketing
