My name is Ruth Earle, and I've been a registered nurse for 44 years, the last 22 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I retired in 2025 from one of Florida's renowned hospitals after 32 years of service. I highly recommend the Certified Health Writer Program to any health care professional with a passion to write. Writing has always been a passion of mine. Two years ago, as I started focusing on retirement, I knew what I wanted to do but had no idea how to get started. Then RN2writer emails started showing up in my inbox. I was skeptical at first, but curiosity got the better of me. I was intrigued, yet I kept procrastinating. I attempted to sign up for the course a few times and decided against it. Eventually I knew the time was right, and I signed up. I'd enjoyed my first year of retirement catching up on things I'd missed, but I know I have a wealth of knowledge and experience I can capitalize on, and that others can benefit from. The more I went through the modules, the more convinced I was that I'd made the right decision. Ms. Hanes made the course interesting and easy to follow. I took notes the whole way through. Alongside the course, I looked forward to the daily "Insider Extras" that landed in my inbox with extra learning materials and the nudge to write 5 to 50 minutes a day. And I did! I'm now going through the bonuses to get my final instructions. THANK YOU to Ms. Hanes for her persistence in sending me those emails over the years. The YouTube videos are very enlightening as well. Thank you.

I have loved writing for many years, but I was busy as a nurse, working in the NICU and then leading the women's and infant's areas. After 49 years of nursing, I wanted to do a little more. RN2writer helped me figure out how to do what I wanted with my writing.

I always thought I'd write. Didn't know how, or what, or where to start. Then I came across the RN2Writer course. A new world opened up to me. I never realized this is a possibility for RN's. I'm still going through the course, learning bits at a time. And as I go through it, I'm going through personal growth as well. I just had that gut feeling, a low undercurrent buzzing, a whisper that I should write. Being an introvert with limiting beliefs, and having gone through a complicated medical condition, it did a number on my confidence. I'm currently on a journey to reclaim myself. I realized I need to overcome this limitations so I can move forward. At the moment, I'm still working on myself but I know I will be a writer.. I can be a writer. Thank you for creating this platform. See you all out there fellow RN writers.

I’m an RN with 20+ years in healthcare, and Elizabeth’s program completely shifted how I think about writing. Before, I knew I had valuable experience, but I wasn’t sure how to translate that into content that actually connects. This program made it clear—it’s not about sounding ‘medical,’ it’s about clarity, patient education, and communication that people truly understand. What stood out most is how practical it is. I’m already applying what I’ve learned and building my RN content writing business with a clear direction and confidence. If you’re a nurse thinking about writing but don’t know where to start, this gives you a real path forward. — Michael Quinn, RN, BSN

I've been following RN2writer for a couple years now. What an amazing resource! With over 40 years of nursing experience I am within a few months of retiring and am excited about starting on my new writing journey. The "How to Write Anything with Confidence" course was an affirming experience. I plan to share the course link with my colleagues because all health professionals can benefit from better writing skills.

In my nursing career, I have worked in various settings, from trauma to public health. I knew I wanted to do something different, but couldn't figure out what until I happened upon Elizabeth Hanes and her RN2writer program. I was immediately intrigued, did some research, and signed myself up for the Get Paid Well to Write Program (now Certified Health Writer Program). This has been a real game-changer for me. Beth has designed an incredible framework that has taught me how to be a nurse writer, build a business, and find actual writing prospects. There are also engaging coaching sessions with Beth and other writers, which have helped support me throughout my writing journey. Plus, there's an entire community of writers in the Success Society where I have gotten so much encouragement, support, and many questions answered. I highly recommend the RN2writer program. If you dream of becoming a nurse writer, sign up and join the rest of us on our writing journey!

The biggest shift for me was wanting to get back to doing work on my own terms again — I was moving my nursing career in a new direction. I’ve been an RN forever, did my time in case management, and I always knew I could write… I just didn’t know how to turn it into real work. I was stuck in this nowhere corporate job that gave me zero joy. I missed the independence I had in outpatient case management — get the work done, do it on my time, no micromanaging. I wanted that again, but fully on my own terms. Then I found Beth’s course, everything clicked, and I just said, “I’m doing this,” and took the leap. After the course, I can actually see myself as a nurse‑writer and business owner now — someone who can take decades of clinical clarity and turn it into something useful and readable. I feel it in my heart ... this path is actually attainable.

My biggest "Ah-Ha Moment" of knowing I could do more with my lifelong desire to write was learning about the RN2writer program. It inspired me to actually pursue my quiet desire to be published. I used to say, "I am a retired RN, Healthcare executive". I still am those things - except for retired! I simply transitioned from hospital roles to self-employment, studying, and writing. Life in general and the demands of "normal" work-a-day life prevented me from committing to writing and trusting myself to take the leap. Ultimately, I embraced happiness, freedom, and my own power and went for it! Learning the nuances and language of any new field is key to developing confidence and success. The coursework of RN2writer has given me a new outlook as a nurse and executive - this time as CEO of my own business. THANK YOU!

RN2writer has been such a blessing in my life! I was a hospital nurse for 25 years. I then took an unexpected detour to care for 4 family members with dementia and cancer. Once those family members passed away, I was left with a big hole in my life. I happened to see one of Beth's Facebook ads about RN2writer. I've always loved the written word and thought, "Why not!" That was two years ago. I've learned so much from all the well-written courses, and my confidence has grown as well. I am now the blog writer for a local business that is near and dear to my heart. I now have a clear purpose again, and am so grateful for RN2writer!

I'm an RN with nearly 40 years experience who recently escaped the drudge of full-time work. I lurked about the RN2writer site for a couple of years, doing the available content, and finally took the plunge a little over a year ago. Previously on the brink of complete burnout, building a business as a freelance health writer was part of my exit strategy. Possibly the best thing about the program is the supportive community any healthcare professional seeking another way to help people achieve better health will find. Check it out!

The single biggest shift I took away from this community is the self-empowerment to own I AM a writer. I'm an RN with 15 years in the healthcare and wellness industry. I've also been a hobby writer my whole life. It didn't occur to me that I could meld these two things together until I came across Beth and the RN2writer community. For many months after finishing the program, I dutifully sent LOIs looking for those freelance writing jobs for RNs. I will be honest, I doubted it was possible after what felt like so much radio silence and/or rejection. Then, two ongoing opportunities appeared at once and it was the perfect ticket to allow me to leave my patient care job that was draining my energy. When I tell this story to other people, I always say "Beth was right!". What stuck to me most after I finished the program was the mindset work that was shared in group coaching. Reframing my thoughts about my career and this job was key to me moving forward. Now I've been a paid freelance health writer for a year, and in that time, I've used this foundation to build my confidence to write and publish my own novel. Not what I expected to get out the program, but I am endlessly grateful to have ended up here! Thank you Beth and the entire community for the years of support!

I’d been wanting to get into writing as a side gig for years, but it took losing my job as a clinical author at a virtual reality company—after almost six years—to finally make the leap. With all that unexpected time on my hands, I dove into RN2writer. Since then, I’ve landed four paying clients, which still feels a little unbelievable. Honestly, RN2writer helped pull me out of a pretty dark place and gave me a new sense of direction. I’m so grateful to Beth and the whole RN2writer team.

Highly recommended. I experienced a paradigm shift. I feel like I really can do this, for the first time, because I not only have the tools, but I'm part of a larger supportive group. Beth has such a calm demeanor and exudes confidence. This rubs off through the screen, and I just feel like I can really do this. Her boundless enthusiasm and willingness to take on newbie fears and alleviate them is legendary.
I always saw nursing as a female profession. In fact, it remains well over 90% female. I gravitated toward the operating room because of this, as many males work there. I think because I've spent so much time in surgery, I may have begun to take the work for granted. This course, so far, has caused me to think much more deeply about surgery and nursing. Those deeper thoughts have led me to more clarity of purpose.
