I love that the training is informative and experiential, allowing participants to connect and bond with one another along the way. As a student, teacher, and practioner that has previously preferred in person training and and classes, I was blown away by how much connection and community was made through an online platform. My favorite was the exercises we did early in the training that allowed me to see hidden parts that needed to be seen.

I have trained in so many modalities in my 20 plus career in psychology, none have been as mutually beneficial to my clients as well as my own personal journey as Soma+IQ. If you have the opportunity to complete the hybrid program, make it happen. Both are special containers that allow you to work with clients in both an in-person or virtual format. The community is the most amazing part of Soma+IQ, from the mentors to my fellow practitioners, I always felt supported and informed. This is the best decision I have made both personally and professionally in a very long time!

Joining the Somatic Breathwork Practitioner Training had a profound impact on me as a trauma therapist, revealing how deeply interconnected our breath is with our mental and emotional well-being. This training transformed my therapeutic approach, allowing me to integrate breathwork into my practice for a more holistic healing experience. I found this bottom-up approach to healing, starting with the body, exceptionally effective in helping my clients truly heal from their trauma. My clients now feel more grounded, experience less anxiety, and have greater emotional resilience.

Initially, I was hesitant to take the training online, but it turned out to be wonderful. The course was easy to follow, and the sense of community it created is something I will forever be grateful for. The mentors were exceptional, and the entire Somatic team was incredibly supportive throughout the process. Anyone looking to deepen their understanding of the mind-body connection would benefit immensely from this training. The skills and knowledge gained are invaluable for offering a comprehensive approach to healing and helping yourself and clients achieve profound, lasting change.

I truly cherish the connections we've made, and I especially enjoy the breakout rooms. The knowledge and technology we've explored have not only helped me become a better practitioner but have also reinforced my current practices. Thank you!

My clients are women who are healing from abuse, trauma, dis-regulated nervous systems, chronic health issues, etc. Some of the approaches to somatics and or breath work are aggressive and in my opinion, have un-necessary approaches that can lead to harm rather than restoration and healing. Soma+IQ is the perfect balance of safety, self leadership and practitioner support that EVERYONE can benefit from. Without hesitation, this is the class and certification you have been looking for. Adding this certification to my repertoire was exactly as I had hoped and more! The benefits of being in this class will continue, for me and my clients.

Thanks to Soma+IQ, I learnt so much more about my nervous system, how to activate and regulate it, meta skills and how to be in service to others. How to feel people and be felt, being present and dedicated to this practice. I really liked the 3 first weeks that were very profound for me. The teachers are excellent and this specific breathwork works beautifully on people around me.

Excellent training, teachers, and program. I learned a ton from the online course, and the in-person training took it to the next level. The hands-on touch training was worth the price of admission alone, and all of the additional modules helped me to tune into myself and others in a way I haven't been able to before. The sincerity and passion with which the training was delivered really drove home the lessons and the motivation for sharing this work with others. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Soma+IQ and am very excited to share what I've learned with others. Aside from the training being fun and engaging, it was presented in a way that kept things moving and there was never a feeling of "hurry up and get to the good stuff" because it was all curated and presented so well. Finally, I met some wonderful people, both learners and teachers. Expectations met and greatly exceeded. Thank you!

How Breath Saved Me Twice: My Journey with Soma+IQ After my grandmother passed away, I went into survival mode. Grief didn’t get space to breathe. It rolled straight into chaos, violence, and abuse in my family and at home. I was navigating instability, betrayal, greed, hostility, and an environment that kept me stuck in a trauma loop I couldn’t seem to break. There were days I didn’t know how I was going to keep going, only that I needed to do it for my two little girls. After months away, I opened Facebook in a numb doom-scroll haze, and the first post was Nadeem asking, ‘What do you have to lose?’ (I should mention that I had never even heard the word “somatic” before that moment. His 3-min video appearing on a timeline full of depression and mental health memes felt almost absurd.) Anyway, at that moment, the question felt literal and I weighed that question against my tomorrow. I signed up for the 3-day workshop that day. Within minutes of the first call opening, I knew this wasn’t random. It didn’t feel like marketing. It felt like alignment. The energy was grounded and real. No performance. No spiritual bypassing. Just presence, truth, and nervous system safety offered by complete strangers- completely different than the only people I had ever known and spent my entire life feeling harmed or ignored by. When the online course was offered at the end of the day, I was hit with the "full body yes" and immediately used the humble life insurance left to me by my grandmother to enroll. It felt sacred — like investing her final gift into breaking survival patterns and choosing healing instead. The one thing she had always encouraged me to do: Learn as much as I could, break the family cycle of addiction and self-sabotage, and set myself (and my girls) free. It wasn't until just now, while writing this, that I fully realized why they tell us to "always listen to the full-body-yes"- our bodies are more intelligent than our minds could ever be when it comes to our best interests. The journey wasn’t smooth. My home environment remained unstable and challenged my intentions daily. Promised childcare fell through immediately the day the online classes began. I was trying to study regulation while actively dysregulated in my own life. I rapidly began falling behind in the course and felt discouraged. In November, I reached out to the team, feeling nearly defeated, and asked if I could shift from the online program into the February in-person training. They said yes—no questions asked. Their only goal was to support me, however that looked, to make this work as accessible as possible for me to complete it in my own unpredictable and chaotic timeline. That “yes” mattered more than they probably know. Their constant flexibility and consistent support during a time when I felt trapped in perpetual crisis became a stabilizer for me. Even when my personal life felt like it was unraveling, there was this steady thread of belief, structure, and encouragement reminding me that I could keep moving forward. February's training dates landed directly over my grandmother’s birthday and my first daughter’s birthday. The symbolism was not lost on me. The in-person training was the most intense and powerfully positive experience of my life. Meeting my mentors — and discovering they are even more genuine, gentle, and grounded in person than they appear online — changed something fundamental in me. There is no façade. No inflated persona. No hidden agenda. They are not personalities only trying to sell something. Then, being surrounded by over 30 people who were simply there to serve, to hold space, to care without ego — forever shifted my understanding of community. For the first time in my life, I felt I was standing among people like me. People who welcomed, admired, and applauded me for exactly the way I am. People who expressed unprompted and genuine gratitude for the simple experience of meeting me and hearing my ugly story unfiltered. I realized something profound: I am not alone. This work accessed places within me that therapy, medication, psychedelics, and survival strategies never could. It didn’t numb me or distract me. It taught me that my body was carrying answers — that through breath, I could access clarity, release, and strength from within. When I returned "home" from the in-person, I became immediately and deeply aware that this place was no longer fitting for me. The place I'd lived my entire life had not grown with me and it is time to move on, up and out. I began taking steps to move myself to a healthier, lighter, and more comfortable environment. I am building my own business to spread this new light to others rather than remaining "trapped" in the weight I could not identify before. I have now enrolled in Level 2 and cannot wait to see what Denver has in store for me and my future. ----- TLDR; Soma+IQ didn’t magically remove my circumstances. But it stabilized me enough to start making different choices. This work saved my life. This team didn’t rescue me — they reflected my power back to me when I couldn’t see it myself. And through that, I saved my life. And the most profound part of all is this: And maybe the deepest gift of this work has been remembering where my story even began… I was born without breath. My mother was only fifteen and barely weighed 100 pounds. During delivery, both of our hearts stopped. They prioritized her survival. I was set off to the side — assumed lost. Somewhere in the chaos, her heart began beating again. Somewhere after the chaos subsided, I finally cried out. The breath that brought me into this world — the breath that told them, “Hey. I’m here.” — is the exact same breath that carries me through each day. Every struggle. Every joy. Every grief. Every ounce of gratitude. Every single day. And now I understand: The thing that "saved" me at birth is the same thing that continues to carry me now. Every time I choose to breathe — truly breathe with awareness — I create space within myself to be (re)born as a more conscious vessel of divine life.

I think the largest impact for me was the ability to hold sacred space and what that means on all levels. That being able to do that from a calm regulated state is so important from the moments even before your client comes. I think this work is good for any human being living a human experience. Its mind boggling to realize how many people actually do not have regulated nervous systems and the impact it has on the world. My favorite part of the training was the combination of learning styles. I like the partner exercise and as uncomfortable as it is I like that they are designed to create vulnerability for the knowing of being a student and understanding your clients. I love the integrity of the teachers. I think anyone can benefit from this work, and I like the different aspects of being able to use this work stand alone or with another modality. This has personally changed me in understanding myself on a whole new level in addition to be able to embody it and bring it into my personal and professional world.

This training pushed me through some personal limitations and allowed me to embrace my weaknesses as well as my strengths. It has provided me with a wealth of information and insight to not only somatic breath work as a practice but for life in general. I am grateful for these past 12 weeks and am actually said that its coming to an end.

Somatic breathwork was transformational the first time I experienced it as a participant, but the training took everything to the next level, giving me new tools for connection and attunement in not only breathwork sessions, but everyday life. I am excited about using somatic breathwork and other tools to help high-performing creative and tech professionals move beyond blockages, heal their nervous systems and live life fully.

Thursday’s optional sessions were my favorite. The mood was lo-key. And I found myself leaving them inspired and going deeper in my joy of the work.

The biggest realization for me was how much wisdom is actually stored in the body, not just the head. As a rabbi I thought I was pretty good at the spiritual side, but this training quietly showed me I’d been missing the nervous-system piece all along. It’s already making me show up more present — both for myself and for my community here in Orlando. The live breathwork sessions. They felt safe, a bit messy at times (which I loved), and the trainers held the space so beautifully. I’m a proper Brit at heart so I’m not usually one for “woo,” but these practices actually landed and left me feeling lighter every single time. Any rabbi, therapist, coach or helping professional would get a huge amount from it. It gives you practical, gentle tools to help people regulate and reconnect with themselves - especially useful when words alone aren’t enough. I’d honestly recommend it to any spiritual leader who wants to support their community more deeply and honestly.

My favorite part of the training was the somatic relating exercises in the beginning. I have been a massage therapist for many years and very used to holding space for people in their healing process. I am now a life coach and holding space in a different way and these exercises were incredibly helpful in deepening the experience for both my clients and I...both in coaching and in the work I will be doing as a breathwork facilitator. I also noticed that it really helped me to connect to people in my personal circle and has helped to change some relationships in very positive ways. I think this training allows us to connect to ourselves in such deep ways and it teaches us how to relate to others that fosters positive connection and effective communication. Highly recommended life training really...even if one doesn't plan to be a breathwork facilitator. This way of relating to others somatically is really helpful in all aspects of life.

This training had a profound impact on my life. The breathwork itself has helped me integrate so much of myself, but the training really helps ground everything in. I feel more calm, more present, and ready to be a safe space for someone else who is ready to integrate, too. This training was a deep dive into my own growth, and I'm hoping to spread this newfound radiance like a domino effect with others.
