I've tried different healing modalities, and currently, I find that breathing techniques feel the most calming. I've heard a lot about somatic breathwork and this is my first time attending a session to understand how it works and dip my feet. I'll be honest, I had to attend the session during my lunch break at work, which was not ideal, and yet I was able to benefit from it. I have struggled with severe anxiety and depression, and I know I need to slow down and listen to my body and heal (let go of everything that my body is holding that doesn't serve me). When I started the session, my intension was to feel safe and calm. When we scanned the body I could feel so much stiffness and discomfort in my neck and shoulders - it felt like I was holding onto a lot of weight in the world and on the edge. But the end of the session I was yawning, smiling, calmer, and that tension in the shoulders had melted away. It was encouraging to experience this. I'm hoping to have a way to continue some sort of guided somatic breathwork practices that I can access at my own time. I do struggle to do it by myself.

After the workshop today, I feel a little lighter. There is so much still there that I need to learn how to release but I can definitely tell that it isn't near as heavy. I have been in survival mode my whole life so my body seems to constantly stay tensed up. I do feel some relief from that but much more work to do! Can't wait for tomorrow!

I have noticed after a recent respiratory illness, that I am not breathing deep and holding a lot of stress in my upper body and neck area. Following day 1 of the Soma+IQ breathwork, I feel like I am breathing deeper and some of the tension has reduced throughout my upper back and neck. Because of the recent respiratory illness, i was not able to hold as long as the video but i just did what i could. Try to relax even if you can't do the breathwork perfect . Just do your best.

I would recommend this workshop to others. I am amazed how the breathwork session made things look more light infused afterwards - an actual change in eye sight. That the body says, I love you. A rare moment of actual peace. Things feel shifting and listened too, in gratitude, without having to rehash old sore memories. The framing of experience and aims, such as alignment and presence, come across as freshly defined, and as manageable goals along side the commitment to be breathed with intention.

I can say the first day blew me away. Totally unexpected as I have PTSD from operations that went wrong. Had to get an operation and did the exercise and managed to go into hospital calmly and my blood pressure remained low ( they were shocked) and I remained calm throughout. I feel somatic breath work has shifted fear deep from within me. Thank you

Loved the experience when I went into the practice I felt tightness in the body and like there was a lump or mass on my left pelvic region. After doing the 1st Day of exercise that heaviness I felt and the awareness of the lump was gone and I felt a general sense of lightness and calm. Amazing!
