I find these lessons to be some of the best thought out presentations which I have seen anywhere. Paul has a way of explaining and practicing at the same time, clear and to the point, no wasted words. Although I have heard many podcasts and YouTube videos about Spaninsh grammar, Paul makes it all click and gives a view very often from a completely different ange which resonates and gives you that "Aha" moment. This is by far the best way to learn Spanish that I have seen. It was more helpful than the community college and it helped me understand my Spanish text book I got from them.

I grew up in New Mexico in the 60s and 70s when the United States Government banned allowing kids to speak Spanish at school. My parents, who both spoke spanish, stopped speaking around us to make sure we were in compliance at school and able to speak English as our first language. I recently attended my 50th High School reunion and we talked about it...the majority of my classmates with last names like...Gonzales, Chavez and Baca and, of course mine...Jaramillo, never learned to be fluent in the spanish language. Fortunately, I have taken classes over the years and lately, since retiring, I have committed to become fluent. Since that happened over a year ago, I have bought/used just about every App or course available and although I enjoyed many of them and moved the needle a little bit, I didn't feel I was advancing at a rate commensurate with the effort and cost I was expending. Since I found "Spanish with Paul" I have doubled or tripled my rate of learning and SPEAKING "Y Me pongo muy Feliz y afortunado de encontrar este programa de aprendizaje! One of my daughters married a young man in Spain and we now have 2 Spanish/American grandsons. My daughter complemented me but my 10 year old grandson told me he was proud my for loving them so much that I was learning their language. Could have knocked me over with a feather! My Spanish speaking friends have all commented on how far I have come in the last few months (since beginning with Paul's courses).. Best way I found to learn is when studying your lessons. Lessons given in a simple easy to understand manner which In turn encourages me to learn more. Your lessons keep me keen and when you do the reviews I’m there repeating what I have learnt. I haven’t had the dreaded brain fog which I’ve experienced with previous courses. One minute I’d be learning/understanding to then find the next day that I couldn’t use it or know how to. I would spend hours studying and dreading the brain fog but now with your lessons I’m now putting sentences together all be it basic and in present time (at the moment) but I can use the Spanish. When i first arrived in Spain from UK i found Spanish with Paul on UTube. I was amazed at how quickly i was picking up the Language with his 10 free Lessons. I was sceptical about playing for my first course but hey ho it was really cheap and i bought it. I have never looked back since. This is the most practical way to learn. I now work among Mexicans and I as an African American, I am being looked at with great admiration because I can relate to them. I am so grateful to have found Spanish with Paul and wish there was 'French with Paul' too. I will say that the full lessons got a bit technical at level 6. I would prefer to have had a smaller step at this level. I recommend taking time to understand the English version of the grammar to help with this section of the learning.

I have been studying the elegant Spanish language for eight years. I have studied in formal classes, on my own in self-acquired books and online. Paukl is the finest teacher and class I have evr taken. He doesn;t burden you with grammatical terms. Instead, he takes a direct, simple approach. For example, in teaching the Subjunctive, he doesn;t bore you with terms like independednt clause, Instead he itemizes key triggers - phrases that trigger the use of the subjunctive. He is a vry fine teacher.

Spanish with Paul has been helpful with my goal of learning Spanish. I've used other online training but Paul's courses seem to provide a more methodical approach to learning. The courses are very relaxed and Paul has a calming voice which compliments the teaching style.

Paul’s lessons start with giving you several hundred cognates, which is like a huge “free” vocabulary. Then he adds other words, swaps them around and before you know it, you’re speaking Spanish! After studying for some months I came across another teacher who only teaches in Spanish, and after listening, I said,”Whoa! I would just like to say that I have been trying to learn Spanish for YEARS! Took a class in high school and in college, and honestly, just had a few basics down. I had been trying to learn on my own using YouTube videos and Instagram. Nothing seemed to be the right thing to get it to stick or even make sense. I highly recommend the Vocabulary course. I have found it hugely beneficial in focusing my learning on the mos importnat and commonly used words in Spanish. The most valuable part for me is Elena's drills as they provide great practice in using the vocabulary by forming sentences. I feel a lot more confident speaking since starking the course.

Paul's course is unique! The way he writes and reads the words in a very clear PowerPoint page that no one else does. He speaks in a very clear voice in both English and Spanish which makes learning very easy. He also uses lots of words that are similar in both languages which quickens the pace of learning. His teaching made me confident in speaking when I visited Colombia from Australia recently.

These lessons have turned learning Spanish into something feasible, instead of a far-off wish. They have broken down simple concepts into easy to remember and use processes. They're also in bite size pieces which means they're easy to do anywhere and anytime. It's different from other courses because they build on each other and include regular practice of previously learned concepts. If you have tried the Michel Thomas method and liked it then you will love Spanish with Pal. A similar method as Michel Thomas but much much better and better explained. I have learned more Spanish in tw months than I did with The MT French courses

I’ve tried Duolingo - it was ok but I found I was stuck. couldn’t really progress any further and I found the ‘explain my answer’ function to be a waste of time. I initially found Paul on Spotify and liked the way things were explained in more detail, I guess people learn in different ways and this has just clicked for me. I can string more than a couple of words together and it feels like progress! I will be definitely be recommending Paul and his methods.
