In Barcelona, I created the “mental white space” and the “calendar white space” to draft two key digital assets that are unique to me. As the face of an organization that is doing critical work, these assets reflect the critical people management piece that often gets overlooked. I laid out my step by step process. Joya is a fierce interviewer and means business. My favorite part of the 3 day, 2 night intensive in Spain was a private tour of the oldest hospital in Barcelona. It made me think about the power of environment design to heal patients.

Like many entrepreneurs, especially those with ADHD, I struggled to define my brand and niche. I had many different service offerings but was struggling with how to reduce scope and attract new clients on social media. The common denominator among all my clients was that he or she was either diagnosed with ADHD or suspected that he or she may have it. Before working together, I was reluctant to show my vulnerability on social media. I now realize there is much strength in choosing to be vulnerable. I follow Joya's standard of showing value from storytelling and sharing lessons learned. My posts on social media are getting more engagement, and I have an easier time connecting with other professionals in my field. Joya's methodology of “show, don't tell” attracts clients for me. Likewise, I am finding my voice in storytelling and seeing the results through practice and consistency.

When I met Joya I was making a career transition. I struggled to connect my past in fintech and my future in climate tech in a compelling way. In a VIP Day with Joya in Montreal, her exercises and deep dive interview technique helped me realize three things. I'm about creating impact at scale - first in fintech and now in climate. Today, I invest in founders who are changing the world, and in the process, the narrative about women and entrepreneurship. I'm a master of building culture on teams. In my last interview I told a story about a pivotal moment, straight out of my work with Joya. I start my dream job on Monday.

I have a new offering to shoot multigenerational families in their ancestral home or in Tuscany. I began work with Joya to create a strategy to attract this type of client. Joya and I came up with a list of topics. This is not a skillset that comes easily to me, so she and I drafted them for both my website and my Linkedin content marketing. She's a journalist first and leads with that curiosity when asking me discovery questions. She also runs a business and understands the nuances of securing clients.

“Joya is very invested in motivating others to reach their full potential as public speakers. She is very generous with her knowledge and helped me realize that I had a powerful story to tell. I also deeply appreciated the time and care she took to help me tell my own story with confidence and joy. “

As an executive, I always had a big staff and a company name to stand on. Once I went out on my own, it was just me. I needed this one day intensive with Joya to understand what my 'personal brand' is. I needed Joya's mastermind so I didn't 'whiteknuckle' building my own consultancy alone.

Joya has a gift for asking the really hard questions and uncovering my strengths. I wanted a client with a national footprint. I worked with Joya to draft case studies on the work we did with local clients and could scale. My outreach for new clients became stronger. Now I have that national client.
