We take in SO much everyday - so many services, so much information, so to narrow it down, we use others experiences to help inform our decisions and guide us.
Words have power and I would be SO appreciative if you'd share your thoughts after sharing space with me.

Sabia uses Birthing Liberation to craft a journey of transformation. She integrates somatic healing exercises throughout the book that invite you to really sit with the stories and move the emotions through your body. So often it is easy to go numb at the devastating statistics at just how dangerous it is to give birth as a black person. I also really appreciate her invitation to think of terms like BIPOC and Non-BIPOC as a way to not center whiteness in all contexts and conversations. I highly recommend both reading the book and subscribing to Sabia's substack.
I’m reading BIRTHING LIBERATION by @Sabia_Wade and I appreciate how much care they take in the reader’s experience, particularly when reading about pregnancy and historical trauma. It’s a really beautiful and caring read that I think is essential to everyone doing pregnancy work.
