The academy helped Finleys confidence first and foremost! The detail and explanation with each drill were spot on and its lessons are invaluable. Finley had the game of his life on Sunday earning him player of the match and it’s a complete transformation of the player he was when he started! Unfortunately I am no longer coaching due to my youngest joining football but having the skills and drills available to help my group was amazing and also built confidence in me that I had the knowledge and knew what I was talking about thanks to Ben! Keep doing what your doing as you will be helping so many players and we will keep an eye out on your YouTube channel for sure!

The academy is really well structured and is unique in that it gives one to one support as well as a group to interact with and learn at the same time. The video sessions are well put together and provide clear instructions to help in all areas of the game and core skills. It really helped me a lot to improve my ball handling.

The Academy gave us access to a incredible database of training videos. This year with the exams prep my son was able to train at his own pace in his own time and he has managed to improve his play. There are many thing about the academy but one of the most important one is that you can chose your training sets for different skills from the video database.

The academy has been brilliant for Ollie. The confidence he has gained in ball skills and tackling is just amazing in a short time. A shout out with advice on how to improve in the weekly skill sessions makes his day! Ollie is only an under 9, but the improvement is very clear- picked up and congratulated by his team coaches. Our son has been doing the rugby academy for 3 weeks and we have already seen a big difference in the improvement with his skills. Eleanor and Isabelle have been doing the academy for sometime and have learnt a lot and it is seen when there on the pitch playing. The skills that they have learnt have helped them to become better players and this is not gone unnoticed by there coaches and other players. With Isabelle it has also helped her with her speed and confidence on the pitch.

As a family we are in amazement at the improvements made by our son since joining the Academy. During the season he sustained a freak finger injury resulting in a severe loss of confidence in all skill especially his tacking. The weekly programmes have been invaluable in his skill development and his restoration of his confidence. I would say he has become even more confident in his skills since working week on week with the Academy. The weekly video analysis sessions are invaluable. We load the personalised feedback onto his tablet and use this as part of his game preparation where he views each weeks feedback to get the visualisation of the tackle technique/skills prior to attending his games. I can honestly say his tackle confidence has greatly improved resulting in 2 tournament wins and 2 runner up placings this season. Big thanks to the academy for restoring our sons confidence following injury and getting him playing at a higher level.

Austin has employed lessons learnt in the academy to build increase his ability with hand eyes coordination, and basic techniques outside of the weekly rugby training sessions. This has supported a massive improvement during his club games. The range of educational videos and drills that are available, cater to his desire to analyse his skills and improve. Alongside this, the weekly feedback that we receive from Ben on submitted videos is phenomenal. Even at U11 level, the academy has in no small part supported his improvement over the last season - thank you Ben!

The tackle drills and feedback has made him more confident and he now wants to get more physical rather than finding a different role on the pitch. Josh has become far more adept at skipping the ball wide and then following it to present himself as an option since attending the master class. Ben and his team are excellent, blending enthusiasm and experience with incredible knowledge. Rugby is Josh's passion and he absolutely loves being part of a group who want to be there and are focused on improving their skills. The RTA Masterclass is a level or two above what you get at grassroots level and I would recommend it to anyone.

Keian is already a fairly competent player but as he wants to play professionally one day, we encourage him to continuously work on his skills, game knowledge, fitness etc. There is always something to improve, something that could be better. The masterclass is a really good place to identify some of those things to work on - the small group sizes allow the coaches to spot things that would be missed in a larger group or at their usual club training sessions, and allows time to teach corrections to individuals and monitor progress throughout the rest of the session, providing further guidance when necessary. Keian felt a benefit in many areas but particularly felt improvement in putting more power into a tackle and maintaining strength and dominance in contact. We also felt it gave him the opportunity as a 10 to practice his role as one of the main voices on the pitch guiding his team through attacking play and organising defence with players he didn’t know, an important skill if they ever get called up to play for their county etc.

Thanks so much we cannot recommend the academy enough. Lewis’ confidence has grown and he thoroughly enjoys the training each week. The time you dedicate to improving each of the academy members game is fantastic. The training sessions are fun and the drills are invaluable to developing confidence and improving skills. The Academy has been amazing and helped Tamzin so much. We signed her up after a pretty bad knock to her confidence and it was the best decision we could have made. The structured, varied skills training has so many options to delve into to and there's training for every aspect of rugby training. The weekly feedback was definitely a game changer. Joined 4 weeks go and in that time I have seen a big difference in my lads confidence and skills and he has also noticed it himself when passing the ball around in garden. He always looks forward to the feed back. He has noticed how important it is to work on the little things. The program is great for finding other drills to do when he wants to stay out and do extras.

The Academy has given me greater insight into my coaching as an U12s coach as well as helping my son in the garden with his skills. It also is very good in giving great and constructive feedback. Best coaching program out there and much better than spending hours trawling through youtube.

Azzie has been part of the Rugby Skills Academy since last March, where Ben John has been his dedicated coach and mentor. Thanks to his guidance and expertise, Azzie’s skills as a player have improved significantly. He particularly enjoys the sessions with Ben, and we make sure to send him videos of Azzie’s progress every week. Azzie has recently moved on to the elite program and has been loving every moment of it, with Ben being an exceptional mentor throughout. Under Ben's tutelage, Azzie has been able to excel and exceed his goals. He has had the honor of being the school captain for the rugby festival, as well as the captain of his rugby team. Additionally, after rigorous trials last September, he was selected for the North East Wales U11 team, even playing a year up. The relationship Azzie has built with Ben is nothing short of fantastic. He is a brilliant role model, Azzie is constantly learning new techniques and skills from him. We are grateful for his mentorship and the opportunities he has provided Azzie to grow and succeed in the sport.

My son Zac is 4 weeks into the 8 week pre season program. he absolutely loves it and his learning so much from some basic tips from videos we send in to be analysed. Each week builds and builds on different skills. Within 4 weeks he can pass off each hand. Darcy has been playing rugby from a young age at Alcester RFC. When she reached U10s, it became more difficult for the girls to continue playing with the boys, so to support her passion for the game, I decided to look for a club with a stronger girls’ pathway. We were lucky to find a fantastic club nearby at Droitwich, who already had a great setup and a well-supported girls’ programme. Darcy did have to play up an age group at U12s, but thanks to the RTA programme and Ben’s consistently positive, energetic feedback, clear pointers, encouragement, and the excellent training packs provided throughout the season, Darcy’s tackling and confidence stepped up to another level. As a result, she fitted in easily on the pitch with the older girls and was signed off to play up an age group. As a coach myself, Ben’s advice, comments, and live demonstrations have also been hugely valuable. They’ve helped me not only support Darcy, but also the other children I coach, now that I’m involved in a girls’ section. I would strongly encourage any parents with girls to get them involved in a girls’ section as early as possible (age grade dependent, of course). Finally, I would like to personally thank Ben for his passion, drive, and true dedication to growing fantastic players in the game we all love. Hugh has grown in confidence since starting with Ben, he had set a goal to be captain and was delighted to be captain of the U14s for every game he played for them, also going on to be man of the match for all bar one game. Being picked to play up an age group and play for the U15s was a seamless progression, and the way he plays, you wouldnt know he is the youngest on the pitch. The RTA sessions are good and explained well, it gets us as parents involved in Hughs training, we actually enjoy when we can see the small improvements each week as we are busy throwing balls or videoing the skills he is practicing that week.

Absolutely loving the academy Rugby is life for Jacob and can massively see the difference in him your drills are simple to understand but so effective and the main thing Jacob loves doing them. Would highly recommend

We have been members of the Rugby Trainer Academy for six months and I’ve been really impressed with this unique coaching approach. I’m an U12s rugby coach and also have two boys in the team. As a coach I love the video libraries of the skills with detailed coaching points and different angles. I’m able to use these skills at home and take them onto the pitch into my coaching sessions. Theresa skills are easy to understand and easy to implement. This would be impossible to achieve in written text. The weekly zoom coaching sessions are really engaging and both my boys love them. They are very different to normal rugby training sessions as they focus on individual key skills, which are always delivered at a fast pace with loads of enthusiasm and with lots of instant personalised feedback. The time flies by and Ben is able to cover so much. My favourite part of the RT Academy is the video feedback - each week I submit two 5 min video clips of my boys’ matches or skills training and Ben reviews the videos and provides amazing positive and constructive feedback in a supportive way. As a coach, I often watch videos of games back but Ben is able to spot details that I wouldn’t see and then provides feedback on skills or techniques to improve. The way that Ben delivers this feedback really motivates my boys and has made a massive difference to their game. I would highly recommend the RT Academy for both players and coaches of teams for U9 upwards.

Austin has been a member of the academy for the last two seasons and has continued to grow in ability, confidence and love of the game. We attended our first Masterclass this month and the programming and coaching through the session was clear, well thought out and intended to improve the players - it does just that! The session covered footwork, tackling, rucking, communication, maintaining position and how to manipulate space in game scenarios but all the coaching was delivered at a fun and engaging level. I cannot recommend the Masterclass and Academy enough for how Ben and the team have supported Austin’s want to improve. Thanks team, see you at the next Masterclass!

Tom's rugby journey has been a good one and he's taken to it like a duck to water. He came away from the RTA with new skills and improved tackling which was good to begin with. Tom really enjoyed the session and found the coaches easy to understand and get along with so he would definitely do another one at a later date. This was Patrick's second Masterclass session with Ben and the other professional player/coaches. Pat has been wanting more from his own attacking play, and from both of the days with Ben and crew, he has certainly stepped up this side of the game on match days! You will not find a better tackling/contact set up, pro level! In Patrick's own words, he said: "on Masterclass days, you're with other players that want to get better". The continuity of the drills and matches have flowed perfectly both times, no hanging around at all.
