I enjoyed this tour so much that I joined their new daytime Cosmic Quest Tour a week later. You could see the sun through their special telescope and take your own photos with your phone trough the telescope as well. This tour is great for children too, as it is very interactive!

Went on stargazing tour with Luca at 22pm. He started right off passionatly about light pollution and went on explaining different star constellations, stars themselves and galaxies, as well as nebulas. And all this very visible through his telescope. He even provided blankets and warm tea during the chilly night. Would book again!

Absolutely magical experience with Akaroa Stargazing! The night sky was incredible, and we were lucky enough to see the Aurora Australis dancing above the harbour, an unforgettable sight. Our guide was passionate and knowledgeable, pointing out constellations and celestial wonders while capturing stunning photos of the night (and us!) that we’ll treasure forever. I joined the 7.30pm section of the Night Stargazing Tour🔭 on 30th May and was very happy to have Luca as my host. Luca was a very passionate tour guide. He did not only show us the beautiful and wondrous sky full of stars, he also emphasized a lot on light pollution and tried to convey the message of conserving the nature to all the guests. His words has made this tour much more meaningful and unforgettable.

This review is based on a rainy night where the experience was taken indoors. As someone who knows nothing about astronomy, this was a great introduction to stars and planets. Luca was a fantastic host.

The tour run by Akaroa locals was excellent. It was intimate (only 6 people), and the guide was extremely passionate and knowledgeable. It was well organised and I learnt a lot.

Stargazing with this team was one of the best decisions I've made—it was truly a magical experience. I'm grateful for their warm support from booking through to the end. A special thanks to Luca for shedding light on the issue of light pollution and introducing me to the stunning Rehua star. Highly recommended. 🤎

On a beautifully clear night 300m above Akaroa township Luca took us on a trip through the Universe. Travelling on Planet Earth we spun beneath the south celestial pole, saw nebulae, constellations, and the great Milky Way aided by Luca's navigation. What was not visible to the naked eye became evident through the telescope and time lapse photographs. An experience to treasure.

Manon and Luca were so kind, helpful, and informative about stargazing spots! My friends and I really enjoyed chatting with them. We ended up not purchasing anything because we are traveling light, but I highly recommend supporting their business. They are amazing and so sweet!!

An amazing adventure viewing the southern skies with Luca

What a treat! The winter sky in the south hemisphere is a wonder. Luca made the two hours fly by, and I learned so much! I'll be sure to come back for a tour the summer!

This was by far one of the most exciting and interesting things we've done in New Zealand. Luca is an amazing guy and stargazing guide ! His knowledge about the galaxy and the stars is fascinating !
