This course is FABULOUS! Why? I completed it and was fully engaged and immersed in the journey. The bite size approach to learning allowed me to take it in and integrate the teachings. I experienced the program as an invitation to both engage with a container to hold my messy life while deepening as a human being. It is beautifully and professionally designed. The interface is simple and effective. I want more! I am ready to hear additional experiences about deepening through the Bujo process. As a member of the community, I am engaging consistently to feed this hunger! I know that the course, as it is, offers repeat journeys that will make my deepening more real. I LOVE that the Bujo method elevates creative flow and supports one bringing forth wisdom and flow. What a gift. Thank you Ryder and team!

I loved the course; it's clear, broken up in small chunks that are easily digested and help you set up a BuJo as you go. My main challenge is to let go of wanting to do it right and just begin. I love how it connects my intentions and insecurities with day to day tasks and continuous reflections. I used to have different to do planners, meeting notes and a diary to reflect - I can't wait to start using my BuJo for everything. And more than that I'm looking forward to integrating the learnings and reflections into my life and move further again. Thank you Ryder and team, it has been very helpful.🙏

I’ve been bujoing for a long time, bought the book as soon as it came out and have been reading the newsletter for a while. I was curious (okay, and a bit anxious) if the course could add anything new to all that knowledge. And I experienced it really did. But cutting all the info and suggestions in small chunks and adding questions, I got a better feel for the knowledge I obtained so far and actually thought about the why of many things I already did in my practice. It gave me many great insights and unexpectedly changed my practice completely. I don’t think someone else would easily see the changes in my notebook, but the changes in my thinking, the effects on my life and the effectiveness and fulfilling feeling of my bujoing have made leaps forward. I also noticed that going back through the courses is a very valuable thing to do. Reviewing the lessons that made a change for me, a while after that change, deepens my practice even more. I really appreciate the way the course is setup, as it is easy to find back the lessons I need. In some lessons, there are great graphs or lists of questions to use, it would be even more helpful if these would be shown below the video or as a downloadable file as well.

When I first heard about the Bullet Journal Method, back in 2017, I was going through the worst phase of my entire life. The BuJo helped me get through those terrible moments and has been my best friend ever since. As an autistic person, staying organized and in control of my life was always extremely difficult, and when I received a scholarship for the course I was honestly so happy. I've learned things that even the Bullet Journal Method book didn't teach me. The classes are easy to follow and being short videos, it helps my potato attention spam. I'm from Brasil and even though I can read and understand English, the captions were amazing when I got caught in translation. Learning from someone who's neurodivergent as well it's a totally different world. Congrats on the course and thank your for changing my life forever! ♥

I came to Bujo through a copy of the book handed to me in a hospital ward, while my son was dying from cancer. That journey evolved into a heavy drug addiction, of which I'm now clean for two years. Bullet Journal helped me, in that initial form, to navigate the chaos and trauma and focus on where I needed to get to find recovery and stick to it. The course now has just re-ignited that fire, and the new tools and strategies have got me geared in solidly to rebuilding my life systematically and efficiently. I'm excited, and very, very grateful. It's been useful to see how Ryder navigates day to day processes and tasks. Highly recommended to anyone willing to put the work in to live the systems taught. A solid 11 out of 10 from me.

I am a KonMari consultant and intentional living is what I embody in my home and life. I wanted to find a way to declutter my mind by journaling intentionally in the way I wanted rather than use a prescribed template (dated journals have failed me in the past!) and I stumbled upon the BuJo method in a beautifully divine way. I cannot thank Ryder enough for making this process simple and effective. His book and course share deep insights about living an intentional and mindful life without focusing too much on the journaling tools (rather, using them to complement your 'why'). I highly recommend everyone to pick up a notebook and pen and start BuJo-ing to find clarity, purpose, and meaning in life.

I started my first Bullet Journal in 2015. It is the only notebook of all I saved during the years. I loved that the short bulletform sentences could bring me back to that day and remember it so well.
As the years progressed I got busy and lost with forward planning so much for work and so many notes on different subjects that I stepped away from the bujo for a while. It always kept pulling me back, but I had the feeling I was missing an important part to make it work. So I enrolled in the Basics and Beyond course to start with a fresh pair of eyes. And hearing Ryder talk about the 'why' behind every piece just made it click like never before.
This course gave me the tools to live a more mindful life. To resist getting swallowed up and spit out by the ratrace system we live in. To be mindful of what I do, why I do it and who I want to become, and to help me stay on the course to get me there. It is a lot of information to process, but we have the course to keep, so if I need a reminder I just go to the course and spend a little time with Ryder reminding me. This course is a true gift. Thank you so much Ryder and your wonderful team

This course has been terrific. I have finally found a way to process my To Fast Life into a manageable process. The course itself gave me the clarity to use my practice in a way that works for me. I recommend this course to anyone. Bruce

An article I read towards the end of 2017 about journaling by Shelby Abrahamsen - Little CoffeeFox.com - where she gave a brief “guide” to bullet journaling and also the Morning pages. From then on I would search high and low more about the method. Unfortunately exchange rates sometimes makes it prohibitive to purchase items you find and wish to. I finally had the opportunity to take the Course and learned all the sections in a clear understandable way of following the Bullet Journal Method. The Course has provided a better understanding of how to use the Bullet Journal Method more effectively and efficiently to my advantage. The learned more about the rituals, reflections and how they help make sense of my days weeks and months, the helped put everything into place. I now have a better understanding of the daily logs the weekly spreads and so on. The Course has given me more inspiration to write again, not only my bulletin journal but to take it further and perhaps even write a book that I have been wanting to since my 40’s but life, partners and family always contrived to steer me in other directions. To anyone considering taking the course I highly recommend it because it takes all the confusion out of using The Bullet Journal Method.

I had been bullet journalling for a few years but was stuck in it being a to do list and felt there was more to it than I was doing. This course helped me see the bigger picture, in particular, the reflection and action. It has transformed how I use my bullet journal and live my life and has helped me make some big changes in my work life in particular. The setting of intentions, adding things when you need them, the daily, weekly monthly reflections, the idea of it being mindfulness disguised as productivity has been so helpful. I had read the book, watched the videos and many other you tube people but this course in its bite sized components gave me a few 'ah! now I get it' moments that were invaluable. It also updates and moves on some of the themes from the book.

"I rarely finish courses due to two reasons. First, the course may be interesting at first but I lose interest over time. Second, the quality of the course may be great in the beginning but it gradually decreases. However, this course is exceptional because the content is amazing and my interest in the subject matter kept increasing. Thank you for creating this course!"
Dawn Mitchell
I'm starting my ninth year of bullet journalling. This course brought me back to the basics with the very good words of the founder himself. I feel ... cared for somehow. I'm not a newbie to the practice, yet I still feel renewed and celebrated. THANK YOU, dear Ryder, our BuJo dad!

I stumbled across the audiobook "The Bullet Journal Method" as I was researching how to improve my relationship and how to better manage my ADHD tendencies. I listened to the audiobook and was excited that I had finally stumbled across something that may actually work for me. I have read so many books and have tried so many different ways to manage my ADHD disorganization, but nothing seemed to work. It was when I learned that the creator of Bullet Journal also has ADHD I became excited. It's difficult to adopt a habit when that author is someone who has no idea what the chaos in the brain feels like versus someone who truly understands because they actually live in that chaos everyday. So the author is living proof that this method works. Just like everything in life, there's no "one size fits all" and as Ryder explains, you pick and choose what makes the Bullet Journal work for you. The course is excellent for those who are visual learners. I have listened to the audiobook, but found myself still not sure "how" to start. The course made a huge difference for me and helped me start my Bullet Journal. The course is broken up into quick and easy "chunks" that make the course a breeze. You can stop and start easily and not feel as if you have to do a long review before starting the next video. I would highly recommend the Bullet Journal course to everyone from all walks of life! Thank you!
Claudia
Investing in this course was the best decision I have ever made. I'm just a week into the Bujo practice and it has already changed my life. I wasted three years trying to find the best digital app for my personal knowledge management, only to find myself in a desperate situation where I couldn't even remember where I had stored all the important stuff. The situation was so muddled, so confusing and overwhelming, I couldn't get myself out of it. Thanks to the Bujo course, I finally learned how to manage my Bujo so that it serves me. All previous attempts failed because I hadn't understood one of the most important concepts - that the (Monthly) Log is not just another place for my appointments on paper, but a mirror of my experiences, of my life. This way, I finally found a workable way to look back on my year - something I've always wanted, but which is too big a mountain to climb if you only try to do it once a year. I also finally understood how all the pieces of the bullet journal fit together and how it will make my life easier and different! After just over a week, I can say that going back to paper is the best decision I've ever made. My stress level is already starting to drop noticeably. Don't get me wrong - I'm a big fan of digital solutions, I've tried Notion, Logseq, Obsidian and many other apps and systems, including building a Second Brain - but now I think my brain can't manage and lead this digital approach well. It's such a difference to take the pace out and go back to writing slowly on paper. It does something to my brain to write by hand - and thanks to the ingenious bullet journal method, I can now find the important stuff again - and have already been able to eliminate a lot of noise. Thank you, Ryder, for inventing the life-changing Bullet Journal!

This course is my first experience with BUJO. The short videos made it possible to keep my focus, and spread the course out over a 10 day period. Some of my questions are technical, about where to set up monthly logs, or is that purely my choice? I'm sure it will start to make more sense, the more experience I have. I will review some of the videos as well. But I have already enjoyed writing my first weekly reflection, and can see the benefit of doing so! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us!
Lynelle Hee
I loved this course, thank you for creating it. I really liked that it was presented in short videos that were less than 5 minutes long. When I was inspired, I could watch a video, and when it was too much, I could stop. Keeping the videos meant that the content was succinct, and it made the course seem doable because it's presented in bite size pieces. I read the bullet journal book about 6 months ago and that's how I got started. But the videos were much more engaging and easier to remember. In terms of feedback, this may be just me, but I'm weak on collections. The decision to take something out of logging and into a collection, creative ways to use collections other than a simple list, the kinds of collections that people find useful -- all those are things that I'm curious about so maybe some more expansion on that subject would be helpful to others.

I started bujoing after seeing a Ted Talk on youtube. I investigated a bit, but my bujo was strongly influenced by youtubers and social media. In 2022 I bought the book, but was left with a lot of questions. The course had a huge impact on my undersranding and application of the method as well as solving my questions. The Mental Inventory and the Migration Filter were among my favorite tools because they force me to slow down and reflect. I also think it was great not to be able to speed the video. It made me take notes and be grounded in the moment!
MJ Albanna
I have to admit that the course brought all the different components of the BUJO practice together. I have been using the basic principles and had only incorporated the future and the daily logs into my daily life. Even with the barebones, it helped me immensely during my MBA, which I undertook while still leading a busy professional life. I would say it was an invaluable tool to organize my professional, academic and personal life and get things done. Now that I went through the course I realize how the practice of BUJO is not only about organizing my FUTURE time, but rather about reflecting on PAST time and seeing what lessons could be gleaned from entries in the journal. I look forward to implementing all the different elements of BUJO practice in my daily journal. I will surely go over the videos at least twice. I would have loved to see more demonstration videos, maybe towards the end, on how Ryder, or any other seasoned user, goes through the BUJO method. I know these videos might be boring for some, but they are instructional and could be valuable to others who like to see all the lessons put together in "real life" scenarios.

I started journaling after reding the book about 2 years ago. The course was like a therapy for me. I found it calming ans supportive, because I am coming through the hard times right now. I think that it is the main BuJo's effect: when I sit and line out the next weekly log, I am focused and not stressed. I see that my intentions are not always fulfilled, but I am not angry at myself for that anymore. I learned to plan less. If I plan just 2 things and accomplish them, I feel much better than when I look at the long to-do list and see only 2 of them done. And when the big project is finished, it is such a joy to see in the Bujo, how I worked on it bit by bit, how big it was, how I have managed to finish. But I am continuing to right may reflections and thoughts in the diary, so rapid logging doesn't work for me as it is recommended by the course. Anyway, I can try to refine my practice after fininshing the course and I am very grateful for the opportunity to learn.
Sarah Rimkunas
I read your book and dabbled with Bullet journaling for years. But it wasn't until this class that I really understood the entire process of reflection and ritual. It was a huge realization for me. The small chunks and frequent opportunities to reflect are an excellent way for a busy person to make headway.

I bought my new journal Jan of this year but was completely lost for 2-3 months where I was hoping this course would help me tackle this new thing in my life. I started this course end of March and reading the book as well and only just finished both this month; December of 2023 where I felt added amazing value to my life. It taught me how to look intention, mindfulness and meaning in a completely new way. I learned it is ok to start a new next day, so basic and probably a clinche but it was quite apt for me. I was frozen for many weeks trying to decide HOW to start my bujo journey.

I have been looking for tools to help me with my executive functioning. I have been on autopilot for years. I am tired. Last week, I decided to research the BuJo method. The pictures of perfect journals overwhelmed me. I had to go directly to the source. I don't have time to read another book. (I am a doctoral student) I decided to splurge and purchase the course. I am so glad I did. I think this just might be the thing to free me from "task hell" and begin living with purpose. I am going to keep it simple in the beginning. I am excited. I am hopeful that I can do, in the words of the late Dr. Katie Geneva Cannon, do the work that my soul must have. Thank you for the permission to not be perfect.
Alfonso Olegario Arbide Goyenechea
If I was a bit more knowledgeable I would suggest something. But I didn’t know how lost I was till your course and method helped me regain the strength I didn’t know I had. I had given up on life till I rediscover BuJo, it’s saved my life and given me hope. I am now looking at my notebook and feeling hopeful and ready to finally doing the right way, that is, whichever one along the way I find. Thanks.

Thank you Ryder for creating this course, I enjoyed your nuggets of wisdom sprinkled throughout the modules that gave further inspiration and understanding of the concepts. I would recommend captions or transcript to be available for accessibility, otherwise it was easy to follow along and the diagrams were a great visual tool as well. The core system/practice is a good foundation, but the continuous solidification of the message that 'bujo is what you make of it/can be whatever you like' was the key takeaway for me to refine my own practice. Thank you 🙏

After trying to read the bullet journal method book, i was afraid to get just as overwhelmed from the cours as I got from reading the book. But this was not the case! Every chapter has been easy for the mind. Meditating even. Love that I could continue wherever I left of. This was an amazing gift to get through the scolarship aswell, but I feel 6 months is to short time. Made me a bit stressed. Now I will go through the cours steps again, to implement what I've learned. Would be amazing if you could reset the completed steps and start anew.
Robin Briggs
I thoroughly enjoyed this course. It was paced correctly, and the bite-sized videos were perfect for watching when I had a few moments to absorb the lesson. The production quality and graphics were amazing. In terms of content, I had read the BuJo book a while ago, and so was a little worried that this would just be a rehash of the book. It was certainly not! I think the updated focus on the "why" of BuJo, as well as adding the importance and place for a weekly review, was very helpful. As someone who spends so much of my time in the digital realm, I would have welcomed more discussion about integrating BuJo into a digital life - whether it's a digital calendar, note-taking systems, how to decide what goes where, etc.
Melinda Byerley
I think I had never really grasped the reflection part of the method. and that is its power, I'm seeing now. The weekly reflection in particular cements the "what the hell do I do with all these bullets" questions. I often found myself thinking about different ways the course should be structured, but honestly, I can't say any of my ideas were that better-I'd say to people, just sit with it. be in a curious mindframe and take it all in before judging it. I also loved the specific examples, because I could copy them as a format. I found myself writing post its with the process for daily/weekly./monthly reflection. Maybe in bullet journal 3.0 along with the index and the future log, there's a page that summarizes just the daily and weekly reflection cycles. Ryder should host a meditation podcast. His voice is calming and mellifluous. He reminds me of Andy from Headspace. I liked the short dive into tools, because I had never thought about pens the way Ryder explained, SLOWING down my writing. I'm one of those people who writes too fast and then can't read my own words. this has been huge.
Stephanie Hull
I've been BuJoing about three years. When I began it was a way to track notes and action items for work. (After 25 years of working in one area, I had begun a new job in a completely new field.) I started this course at the same time I setup my third BuJo. These lessons have helped me expand my BuJo into a true "life tool." I'm getting more comfortable using it for reflection -- and then using those insights to make adjustments and, sometimes, wholesale changes. It took a while for me to be okay with it being messy, but now I love the freedom to iterate and begin again.

Extensive course put into perfect bit sized pieces. Bullet Journal saved my life and my career. The Basics and Beyond course has answered questions I did not even know I had. It is helping my live my life according to my goals and values with mindful intention. The calm that has come over my life is priceless. In 2018, I found BuJo: Page numbers and an Index made a huge impact! I have introduced many people to BuJo over the years I will continue to do so.

First of all, thank you. I’ve been experimenting with a variety of ways of organizing my “to do list“ and always had a difficult time of doing so. I really appreciate the fact that you have connected the tasks to intentionality. Rather than making up a laundry list of things to do that leave me frustrated because I have not accomplished everything that I set out to do, your calls for constant reflection, are not only refreshing, but essential to the process of self growth and awareness. I’ve been a student of meditation and self improvement for years. I have taken formal courses like Landmark, as well as informal training in other organizations. All of these courses reiterate, the same basic concepts leading to reflection and improved self-awareness. However, your course gave me – and continues to give me – a new perspective on how to bring the ordinary into being in such a way that makes the banal sublime. I still need to work more on collections, indexing and reflections. And to that end, I’m looking forward to starting next month’s Bujo. I’m sure that I will be returning to this course time and time again, using parts of it like a reference manual. Thanks again for coming up with this concept and the tools for helping create a sense of purpose to my actions. Looking forward to seeing more videos.
Barry Frank
I appreciate the clarity and simplicity that you present the material. Bujo has many moving parts and appear complicated and overwhelming at first. With practice, I've learned that Bujo is actually quite simple. I appreciate the intertwining of mindfulness and productivity. I also like the repetition of certain concepts to help them stick: reflection, intentions, etc. One suggestion I would make is to give more practice. A big part of learning is practicing the new skill and then getting feedback on it.
Erica Ledford
I have been practicing BuJo for about 9 months using primarily the daily and month logs. This course has help me to add a weekly ritual into my practice. Weekly reviews have really helped me to make progress on my monthly goals by further breaking down those goals into achievable steps. I have also started my first custom collection!
Anthony Douglas
I love how clearly and granularly this is broken up. I haven't started the BuJo method yet as I wanted to complete the course to get an overview, but when I do start (TODAY) it will be easy for me to find exactly what points I need to refer to depending on which part of the process I'm engaging with. From what I've seen this method is something I feel I need especially now with where I'm at in life and I'm very excited to begin. Thank you Ryder and team!
Margaret McGrath
I mentioned this in an earlier comment, but I’d love a spread-sized flow chart that walked through the entire process - chapter to task bullet and back out again. I find that when life gets really distracting it’s easy to turn a BuJo into a to do list. I’ve kept the booklet that came with my BuJo and use that daily, but think some slides or a flow chart would be handy for people who have paid for the course. That said…it’s also helpful to have to keep coming back to the class. I loved that the content was broken out into 21st century attention span chunks. I found it easy to dip in and out. And I left a testimonial!

I read Ryder’s Bullet Journal Method book a few years back. I’ve been diligent and getting a lot of value out of the daily and monthly logs as well as custom collections since that time. I bought and took this course to reinforce my earlier learnings and find ways to improve my Bujo practice. This course delivered, and I’m so grateful for Ryder’s kind inspiration. I really enjoy Ryder’s calm, simple delivery and that I can also see the notes below the video. I started using my phone to take the course, but quickly found more value viewing it on my tablet. My biggest reflection after taking the course is I have not leaned enough into reflection twice daily, weekly, monthly, and at the chapter level. I am adding a daily evening reflection and a weekly log to my practice and have identified two more custom collections that should provide value. I have joined a few of the rooms in this online community, and hope to share and learn about what is working and not working to help with the Kaizen/iterative approach that gives me joy.

I'm glad to see this original focus of the system, on simplicity and efficiency, emphasized here over the beautiful, time-consuming spreads so prevalent on social media. As a working artist and entrepreneur, I need my journal to keep me on track without a lot of time consuming set up. I also found the emphasis on the rituals to be really helpful. I would have liked to see many more real life examples (perhaps from the community?) of how folks are using their journals to solve everyday problems like managing projects. So more nitty gritty and detailed examples. I found the discussion a bit too abstract. Also, please (please!) make the various diagrams available as pdfs so we can download. And I would have preferred longer lessons as it was difficult to get into a good note-taking flow because I was constantly having to click through to the next lesson (sometimes after less than a minute).I'm glad to see this original focus of the system, on simplicity and efficiency, emphasized here over the beautiful, time-consuming spreads so prevalent on social media. I am grateful that I took this course. Despite reading Ryders book 3 times so far something felt off for the last months. I´m using a Bujo since April 17 and I can see how the system itself has evolved, as there were a few things that were even new to me. This course helped me to see my Bujo more as a tool for intention, reflection and prioritization instead of a pleace to cross off as much to do´s as possible and a place to braindump. It really helps me gaining perspective and I don´t regret taking approx. 35 pages of notes, including the mental inventory and answering to all prompts.

The course was well done, with interesting and concise lessons. It is definitely designed to help people get most out of Bullet Journaling, and also to get the most out of our individual lives, both on a daily level, and on a "big picture" level. It helps us be more reflective and thoughtful, and is also nuts-and-bolts practical. The way it is split up makes it easy to do a little at a time, or a lot, based on your individual needs. I think Ryder does an amazing job, and I truly appreciate the time and effort that went into this, and his willingness to share it with everyone. Yay for Bullet Journaling!

Bonjour Ryder and all the team behind this wonderful course . I'm right at the beginning of this journey. I've watched (well devoured) the whole course , which probably means I will get back to it entirely . This comes from a place of need, as I've been diagnosed recently as "near ADHD" , always having been confronted to organisation issues , weird relationship to time , all over the place mind activity (we would say in a more gentle way in French , "papillonner" , which means behaving and moving like a butterfly ) . I am a teacher and am nearly 59 years old so I'm glad your work came along before I retire ... I love the way the system balances between an extremely clear and logical structure and the power it gives you to build the tool yourself. It speaks so much to my kind of mind . Even though I was tempted at first to go all over the place (of course) the unlocking procedure of the courses is just what my mind needed . The non distracting set up (white background / black t-shirt / hands on the notebook / you only with no fancy animation floating around ) is excellent as my mind is concerned . The graphics are awsome , instantly meaningful and non intimidating . I did feel your need, if I may say so, to focus until every stages of the different processes have been identified, translated into graphics . This speaks to my brain also. I wonder though if it could all get overwhelming , as it touches so deeply into self-awareness . For the moment , I have only one question because I'm processing (and , more importantly, I have to start ...) : what are , Ryder, the books you've read or the ressources you have accessed that have given you this kind of insight in the human mind ? Thank you again for this beautiful gift that I will try to make mine . Patricia

Loved the course - I'm going to do it again because it was so quick and simple but yet PACKED with great content. Now that I'm finishing up my first journal which I did during my first pass through the course - I want to learn it all again! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wanted to try bullet journaling. It's the perfect introduction & deep dive!

I discovered BuJo in 2018. Even though I wasn't consisten with my practice at that time as I am now in 2022, BuJo gave me the tools to find peace of mind at that moment and still does now. I have the book and it´s one of my favourite ones. I save it in a special place to consult it and to refresh concepts. I need to thank Ryder for sharing BuJo practice with us and for the great teacher he is. Thanks to community for the support and inspiration. I loved this course and I did it with joy and happiness. It helped me to reconnect with my practice and it solved some questions that were in my mind for some time 😁.

I’ve been using the bullet journal method for years and I still pick up the book for a good chapter reading. However, listening and watching this course was an amazing refresher and I continue to learn something new each time. I’m already re-watching sections! Thank you.
Michelle Sullivan
I have BUJO'd for several years, failed, succeeded, over-reached. This course is the first time I have taken my notebook from a to-do list to a practice. The Reflections are a new introduction to my practice. Loved the course and hope to use it periodically to review and adjust my course. THANK YOU! You did fantastic. I learned so much.
Matthew Cunningham
I really enjoyed the course. I am going thru it a second time . Also I am using it to drive my practice. Revisiting the sections every time I do a weekly and monthly ritual. Every time I revisit I find something small I missed or did not give much thought too. This course has really opened my mind to how bullet journaling is changing my life. Thanks, I am glad I have this course!
Keri Hobert
I loved this course. It helped me better understand the underlying concepts, especially with reflection and migration. The format was easy to learn from and take notes on, and the segment lengths were just right. It was very helpful to me to be reminded (repeatedly!) that this is a process, and that the process is living.
Teddy Payne
I am grateful for the creation of this course. The introduction of the toolkit that is Bullet Journaling gives me the security to explore more of what I want to cultivate out of life. The power of reflection and migration feels amazing to me to be able to choose my path instead of just surviving.
Marsha Hoffmann
I've read the book but some how this course made everything seem brand new as if i never even read the book! The concept of threading terrifies me because i like everything separate but Im excited to challenge myself to see if this would work better for me.
Brittany Lynn Raymond
I loved being able to develop a deeper understanding of the fundamentals. I enjoyed learning at my own pace, and found it comforting to see others writing about the same struggles I was experiencing. It's empowering to have a set of tools that can help me develop the appropriate actions I'll need to take to get closer to achieving my goals. Can't wait to start making it my own!

This course was excellent and really provided a lot of deeper insight as well as fresh ideas on how to bring my bujo practice to the next level. Not only did it clarify a few areas for me, but it gave me renewed desire to focus less on how much I'm getting done and more on what I'm doing and why. One area that I would love to see expanded on is how you use your daily log (and past daily/weekly/monthly logs) to decide what to do AFTER you completed your top 3 priorities for the day. Do you scan ALL open tasks in the month and choose another 3 priorities. Do you focus only on what's come up today, knowing that you've already (in am reflection), picked out things from early? So, in short, how do you work to ACT on all your list throughout the day. How does that look in the bujo itself.

Fantastic course! What I really loved about this course is each section and concept was broken down into smaller bite sized videos. I felt like I could take my time, learn at my own pace, without feeling overwhelmed. I also think it's valuable to keep the written notes at the bottom, as this helps follow through on trickier concepts. Would definitely recommend this course to a friend. Thank you Ryder.

This course was so helpful & like so many others have said, goes hand in hand with the book. I’ve read the book 4-5 times now and want to re-read similar chapters that directly relate to the course. I’ve been bullet journaling intermittently since 2015 and this has truly elevated my practice. I just went through my first month of what I would describe as a true migration. I followed the monthly ritual steps & it was so much different than my previous “review the month & rewrite tasks.” I feel like the rituals and reflections have been the last concepts that I’ve been able to implement which has transformed my practice. I was diagnosed with ADHD in my thirties and struggled my whole life with planning and organizing even though I had the appearance of having my s*** together. The Bullet Journal Method has made such an impact on my well being and my outlook on life. I feel like the notebook relieves the chaos in my brain as it really is like “trying to catch rain” otherwise. I’m grateful to Ryder for bringing the Bullet Journal to life and sharing it with the world in such a digestible way. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I just arrived here a couple of days ago. I was just completing my first Bullet Journal and knew I wanted to learn more, to be even more effective with it. You have turned my thinking on its head. My favourite part is The Chapter Ritual. I'll do it this weekend. I'm excited and nervous because I know I'll learn a lot, maybe even more than I learned here. I've set up my new BuJo already and started using it. I'm giving more thought to what I put in it, how I think about it, how I use each page and bullet. I'll come back and watch the videos regularly, especially morning and evening, weekly and monthly and so on, when it's time to do that particular work. I look forward to who I'll become and what I'll create as a result of this work. Thank you for sharing your experience. Gratefully yours, Karen.

Thank you for this course! I have been iterating with different interpretations of what I understood from the book, but having this detailed definitions, processes and diagrams make me notice all the things I can improve.
Neil Richards
I found the course very useful; it help elaborate many things from the book. The book and this course work well together. The length of the videos was ideal. The short and to the point videos focused on a single main idea, and It was easy to pause after each one and reflect on it. That made for much better retention of the information. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this deep dive ( for me ) into the BuJo world. Everything thing really helped me see the big picture. From the short, well produced videos, to the clear graphics and Ryder’s clear and moving explanations and instructions. I really like the questions/prompts that kept me thinking and questioning my intentions or any block that came up for me.To be honest, at times it was very therapeutic and I learned some interesting things about myself. I would love to see this type of short video prompt, like the audio prompts in the Writing Room.I really get so much out of a short BuJo session where I can take the focused point with me into my day and journaling. Wonderful job Ryder and Team, you should be very proud, you’ve created something very special!

Adding the weekly ritual was brilliant. Also, this time around, adding notes was life-changing. I’m not sure how it never worked for me before, but it struck the right chord this time. Well worth my time and money. Thanks so much!

I have been using the bullet journal method for nearly a year and it has brought so much peace to my life. This course was perfectly timed as I was coming to the end of my 3rd Bujo journal. It allowed me to take a step back and understand it at a deeper level and I look forward to starting the next chapter of my life in March. Thank you for the course, it was wonderful. A huge thank you for creating this wonderful system.
Mark Clayton
Thank you for putting this course together. As others have said, it is an excellent addition to the Book and BuJo U. The mini videos are excellent length - just about right, and the supplemental teacher notes, and student comments are very good components as well. I like the journal prompts for Beginner and Seasoned BuJoist - so the Course is suitable for all experience levels. I also agree with the notion that repeating the Book, and now this Course on an annual basis makes sense to me - reinforcing what works for me as I continue to refine my own practice. Thanks again!

Over a couple of years my BuJo has become a running to-do list with a few collections and sketches. Thank you so much for emphasizing with this course that it can be much more by my reflecting and responding to the entries on which I am already focused. Your course was well presented, easy to follow, and very thoughtful. I found the notebook example entries of topics to be quite valuable in illustrating the concepts. Well done!

Thank you for putting together this excellent addition to the Method Book. As you mentioned, there is a lot of content here that is not in the book. I feel compelled to copy and paste all of the notes provided in this course into a reference document, and from that, create checklists for each of the reviews so I can refer to them until my system becomes routine. But before I go through that, is there a pdf already available that compiles all of these notes? I checked back in the book and there is a lot missing since it published before this latest iteration of the method. I think a reference document and checklists would round this course out beautifully. Thanks again. Your teaching skills are spot on. Relaxed, soothing, and informative.

I think it is so interesting what can be gleaned/absorbed from different formats. Reading the book (now annually) and then taking this fantastic course, I notice different aspects of the method resonate. I think this is an example of 'your bullet journal becomes what you need it to be'. I have been bullet journalling since 2015. When I began, the intention was to get organized - to gather disparate and confusing parts of my life and process them in such a way that I became more productive. It worked! What I completely missed (although looking back, I starred these passages in the book ;)) was the getting to know myself better. At this time in my life, THAT is the imperative and I am approaching mu bujo'ing in a very different way. It feels brand new actually, and a bit terrifying in the unknown but I have an intention to ask my bujo to work this way. This course is supporting my journey and I am so grateful. Time to begin again.

I think the course provides a lot of substance to the tag of “a mindfulness practice disguised as a productivity process”. It is an excellent mix of high-level expositions of the power of intention and how it plays out in a BuJo practice, and hands-on detailed instructions in the nuts & bolts of the practice. The emphasis on the practical importance of “intention” throughout the course resonated strongly with me. I am grappling with digital task-management overload and looking to develop a more purposeful & intentional way of relating to my projects & actions, and reducing the number of things that I am (apparently) committed to. I also found a lot of very useful step-by-step practical guidance on things I am less familiar with in the practice, and also things I thought I had understood or applied but really had not fully grasped, such as the weekly and monthly reflection processes. I will be developing my use of these in the coming months. I feel the full-price version is expensive but it delivers such value that it is still worth it. Its good to see that scholarships are available. I hope they are taken up. I like the emphasis on it being up to each person to develop the practice for themselves. Its not a one-size fits all (none). It strikes me as a very nuanced & mindful exploration of BuJo practice. I think it will help me uncover what amounts to “right action”, for me. Like other posters I will “begin again” (and again, and again …) initially with a more leisurely approach and deeper dive, and then - who knows?

I've been bullet journaling since 2016 and have learned so much over the past year in the distraction/performance free environment of BUJO U, thank you! In terms of Basics & Beyond, I chose to do it in two sessions (Saturday and Sunday) and it's given me a really great birds-eye-view of what a healthy BUJO practice actually looks like. I love the bite size chunks but after the first few I couldn't bring myself to mark them as complete because I was 'binge watching' and I know I'd like to listen to them again. Also, there was something about the act of listening all the way through that was different to systematically working through each section? Maybe it's a question of focus—the long arc of the story versus the details of a particular practice? Both are helpful but as you're such a good story teller I think a continuous play option would be a great addition. Best bits, difficult to pick but the illustrations are great and I'm sure they took ages to refine so thank you! They make the nested sets of practices and their cyclical nature so easy to see, and I finally understand the index and collections! In terms of next step, my first 2nd edition journal is ready to go and my summer holiday comes to an end today, so tomorrow I begin again...

First of all, thank you so much for really diving deep into the meaning behind the BuJo method. I’ve always liked the practicality of the book, but after taking this course it feels like I can take my practice so much further and making it even more meaningful. The chapters on Intention and The Intentional Cycle and all the chapters on reflection really helped a lot. I have always struggled with the part of finding out my why. With the provided prompts after each lesson, I really had to dig deep and it gave me some really good insights. The first thing I will do now? Begin again! Thanks for the motivation, during these last few days I realized I really needed that.

Love how the course is structured in a simple, clear and concise way with deep wisdom to it. Now I understand why I can't do all my To Do List the way I initially set out to do and I no longer feel bad about it. I struggled with the reflections practice. As someone who is easily overwhelmed, I find it overwhelming to read my own handwriting,, LOL 🤣. I think it's something I need to explore why? But I plan on implementing the Chapter Reflection page of "What's Working and What's not", and also "More of and Less of" by logging in as it arises instead of towards the end of the BuJo chapter. Ryder, you did a great job creating this course, thank you for sharing your wisdom with us!

I was in a painful journey recovering from 2 achilles surgeries when I discovered BuJo last year. BuJo helped me organize myself in a way I have never done before. The main point BuJo being a place to rest my thoughts in an actionable form not just a journal. After a year of this practice I took his course being a little suspicious that I won't learn anything new. Boyy, I was wrong!! If I have to leave one big take away: The course reminded me about my INTENTIONS and WHY I am doing what I am doing. Much Love Bro! <3
Sandra
I am so glad I invested myself and money in this course. I started in a round about way last year with BuJo but didn't really know how to use it. I have great insights now, and will take it one step at a time changing it as needed

Forget about fancy spreads and calligraphy (although do them if it makes you happy). I’m no artist, but if, like me, you’ve read Ryder’s book and have a BuJo practice, you may be wondering why this course (which isn’t cheap) is valuable. Ryder has expanded the content to encompass the purpose/why of being organized, and developed a thoughtful and useful methodology that encourages reflection over accomplishments, and curiosity and experimentation over perfection. BuJo isn’t a hack. It’s an analog way of turning again and again to your self, to document and examine and refine your life…the most valuable thing you have.
Rylee
This class really taught me how to embrace bullet journaling. It went beyond the book and tutorials on Pinterest. I feel better prepared to move forward with my practice. It’s making a difference in keeping me on track and productive.
Julia
I am very enthusiastic about this course. I have read the book and also attended some workshops. But the course takes everything to a new level. Explained in such detail and lovingly that I couldn't stop watching. I've already looked through the course twice - every time I put on my new BuJo and I always discover or hear something new that I had never noticed before. Thank you Ryder and team for these videos.
Beth Keithly
I have read the book and have been doing Bujo for years. This course is an excellent overview and, frankly, allows me to go back and review things (the new chapter section, especially) faster and easier than the book (the book is great but isn't always where I am setting up my new book). This program makes it easier to get back on track after a busy period gets me off my journaling.
Barry Frank
I just finished the course, and I enjoyed everything about it. The content is delivered clearly in digestible chunks with aesthetically pleasing visuals and an intuitive platform. While I've been bullet journaling for years, it served as a great way to revitalize my practice. I will continue to revisit the videos, resources, and community.
Anoek
I was afraid it would be nothing new, but I was wrong 😊 this course goes in greater depth than the book and brings things into practice. I’m sure I will go back to parts of it when I need them, because it’s to much to learn and apply all at once. I have enjoyed every minute of it and the way it is set up is great too. Small bits of information to absorb at your own pace.

Bullet Journal is the only productivity method that I have been able to sustain for almost a decade. I've tried them all- online and off. I was a fan of the method and owned Ryder's book. But this course deepened my practice -especially the reflection cycles- that are now helping me get what I really need to get out of BuJo at this time in my life: the questions of Why. Ryder points out near the end of the course that when you figure out why you Bullet Journal, you understand your purpose in life. I work in marketing in tech and I know how that might sound, but I promise you it's for real. You can learn bullet journal by never spending a dime on anything but a notebook and a pen: but the class is fantastic if you want more insight and examples. There is material and insight I had never seen before and I found plenty to learn. Ryder could do meditation podcasts, his voice and demeanor are that soothing. It's a safe place. I don't usually write online reviews. I'm thrilled to write this one.

If you are serious about Bullet Journaling, or if you are simply serious about your personal growth you should not miss this course. The BuJo method is good, but Ryder Carrol explanations are simply phenomenal. I was exposed to many productivity methods and expert, but no one showed the depth of reasoning and the empathy of Ryder. Simply reading the book will not give you the same level of understanding.

Despite spending, some might say wasting, my life looking at what I was doing wrong and how to put it right. I found, again, my Bujo and it’s made me realise so many things I can’t put it into words at the moment. All I can say is that it’s change my way of thinking and accepting my reality in ways no one else could. I have found a way of understanding myself and realise I can be more than what I was expected to be. It’s been a long and lonely trip, but the end and what I’ve learned while travelling has given me a new perspective. Now it’s time to take charge of my life and keep Bujoing. Thanks for the work you are doing and the support given and yet to received.

Prior to taking this course, I had dabbled in Bullet Journaling on and off for several years. It never stuck because I use and love technology, and couldn't ever get an analog system to work the way digital systems work - searchable, efficient, connected. But also, mindless, automatic, and generic. This course has opened my eyes to the process of being intentional with my time and my life. In writing things down in a notebook, I am able to purposefully slow down and think. The best part is the reflection that happens - it's never just "I wrote this down and now it's finished". It's ALWAYS about looking back, taking stock, and then making a plan to move forward. My digital life has never afforded me a good way to create this kind of intentional process, and I am grateful to Ryder for showing me the "why" of analog writing in a notebook. More than just a course on "how to keep a bullet journal", this course answered the "why" over and over again, which cemented my understanding of the system as a process of continuous review and refinement. Thank you to Ryder and the team for making such a useful, meaningful, and beautiful course.

Basics and Beyond has reinvigorated my bujo process. I better understand the general process and collections, while developing more advanced processes. While I tend to learn more by reading, the videos in this course are excellent. Reflection questions for sessions helped me explore my current practice and clarify my thinking. This course is an investment in yourself and your time. Highly recommended!

I am a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and have learned so many skills about true project management; but this course really renewed my vigor of applying these skills to my personal life. I love the simplicity and flexibility of this methodology. I also love the idea of combining work, personal, hobbies and everything else I have going on all in one place. Brilliant! I have been trying to use too many apps or electronic ways of organizing my tasks and it is all so de-centralized, I never seem to get insights on how it’s all related. Thank you for helping me bring out the creative writer in me and giving me permission to be creative and have fun with this.

I read Ryder’s book in April 2021 and have been bullet journaling for almost two years now. Normally I tend to quickly get excited and very invested in something but it then only lasts for a short while, so the fact that I have kept doing it for to years already says a lot about how well the BuJo method works. I bought the course las summer and have been continuously watching the videos and have loved every second of it. It helped me distill my practice back down to what really serves me and I am very excited to try out some new concepts I learned.

I cannot thank you enough for granting me a scholarship for this course! I discovered Bullet Journaling while recovering from a spinal fusion. I’ve journaled in many forms since I was about 8 or 9. But learning about a system that would help me grow and develop was life changing! And being able to learn more deeply the process has helped me improve my practice and learn a great deal about myself. I’ve encouraged so many friends to use this method and watch the magic unfold. Thank you!!!!

This course was amazingly helpful and I've been bullet journaling for quite a few years now. What I believe is the best about this course is that it really speaks to the purpose of the practice and makes the connection between the practice and living your best life. I've been caught up in how my bullet journal looks rather than fidelity to the practice. I intend to work more on the practice and let go of wanting the pages to look a certain way. Ryder does an excellent job of breaking down each step with explanations that are clear and concise. I intend to review this course frequently as I work to make this practice my own.

I waited three months before buying this course, thinking I didn't really need it because there's enough (free) content about bullet journalling already out there. On a blue Monday I bought the course though, after neglecting my bullet journal practice for some time from feeling overworked, overwhelmed and exhausted. Not knowing what to expect, I was surprised how much the first two lessons improved my mental health. They taught me exactly why I felt so overworked, overwhelmed and exhausted and what to do to against it. That's exactly what this course is about: learning the WHY... Of everything really. Even to the question: why we are alive. This course helped me overcome perfection paralysis, finding my purpose and improved my overall mental well-being. I totally recommend this course to anyone who - like me - on a search for mental stability, know all about the top books on productivity and wellbeing, simply look for a method that brings all that information together.

Ryder & Team - Thank you for your time in putting together this course. The bite sized videos make it easy to dive right into as well as pause and come back later. As a visual learner, I learn by example and Ryder breaks down the various lessons in such an easy-to-understand format while neatly tying it to the larger purpose of the practice. To be honest, I was intimidated initially scrolling through perfectly curated and super creative spreads on Instagram. But Ryder instilled the confidence in me that it's OK to mess up, and it's not about being perfect. I am excited to start my BuJo journey this course is an excellent ""jump board"" for anyone interested to learn more about a practice that can change your life.

This course is worth every investment, time, and money. I love how Ryder makes it by bringing things together and opening up new doors to the method. I have been in Bullet Journaling for nearly six years now and for me, the course refined my bullet journaling with every single chapter. What I love most is the calmness in this course. You can take out of it, whatever you need and want. In my eyes, every sentence in the course is a gift. Bullet Journaling has changed my eyes from the first minute, I used it. But now I am really in the beyond of the bullet journal method. Thank you very much for doing what you do and being what you are. I can recommend this course to everyone who wants to understand the method besides social media colored calendars and comparison to others.
Eric
I tried bullet journaling in the past and even read the book on the method. So, I doubted I would need this course. However, the insights that I gained have inspired me with the knowledge and motivation to commit to bullet journaling for the next 12 months. Also, I solved the issues that I struggled with originally with the process. For example, I will be using a dedicated index for client work and projects which will allow me to use one notebook for everything. Also, I will be using this as a Just-in-time record of my life instead of a pre-filled planner with artistic templates. Finally, I expanded my key and will be able to track everything in one book. In conclusion, I have tried every planner that exists online and paper. All provide too much rigidity and not enough customization. Now, I have the minimalist structure needed to track and find everything, with the freedom and flexibility to reflect, journal, learn, improve and grow. As Ryder says, this is a mindfulness practice disguised as a productivity tool. Most planners are only buckets of tasks. Read the Book. Take the course and try the method for 60 to 90 days. Keep it simple. Follow the system.

The course helped me to stop feeling like I was drowning in the clutter of everyday life. Especially the reflection through the Migration Filter is a gamechanger for me. I have learned to gain more time by using it more wisely and not trying to plan or optimize better instead of looking at the causes of the chronic lack of time. The videos are short, structured and precise to the point and there are also small prompts. I can also recommend the course to those who are already Bullet Journaling for a long time. There are so much more information, also in a practical way like breaking your Journal. Thanks to Ryder and the community!

Jeanine van Hemert
