Was het echt zo saai? Natuurlijk niet! Geloof het of niet, maar deze ware actiefoto werd genomen tijdens de CAI/GAI quiz van Maaike Groenewege. MILAN MEYBERG, Joris van Seijen, Merijn Spelt, Wouter de Vries (en Anna Hoogterp die de foto nam) deden mee op het #BeersAndBots network event in Café de Kroon. Leuk om kennis te maken met de medesponsor Twin AI die ons verraste met Generated Polaroids en uiteraard fijn om ook zoveel bekende gezichten te zien van, zoals van Sinch en Budget Thuis. Op dit toffe event dronken we met andere mensen uit de Conversational en Generative AI een biertje. Staying dry and the dignity of data. Last night was cold and dreary Amsterdam at its worst. Grim faced Amsterdammers crammed into the metro, gritted their teeth and rode bikes headfirst into the ice-cold rain or sheltered under umbrellas and shuffled from place to place as quickly as possible. I however was completely oblivious to all of this as I spent the evening inside, happy, warm and dry 😀 . Drinking beer with Frank Mester and chatting with a group of conversation designers at the fantastic network event "Beers and Bots" organised by Barend Jungerius 🍻➕🤖. combined with a hilarious pub quiz by Maaike Groenewege plus some inspirational conversations with Joris van Seijen and MILAN MEYBERG about the positive role that AI could have in our future interactions with our environment. (really mindblowing stuff) This morning, without a hangover or regrets, I started the day where I left off: Thinking about how important the quality of the conversations and data is, and how these professionals might be one of the most crucial factors in successful AI project implementations. It reminded me of a Q+A I watched recently by my "personal Yoda" Jaron Lanier from Microsoft and at the same time it lined up with the end of a model training phase where the AI team at MvR Digital Workforce (successfully) fine tuned an LLM for a helpdesk scenario. A lot of good things came together on a grey Thursday. #BeersAndBots

🌟 Reflecting on an unforgettable experience at #BeersAndBots! 🍻🤖 Last week's Beers and Bots event in Amsterdam was a conversational experience! One that I won't forget. Thanks to the brilliant organizer, Barend Jungerius 🍻➕🤖 Jungerius, for bringing together an incredible group of conversation designers and other content + AI enthusiasts under one cozy roof. 🤖🤖🤖 As a content designer, stepping into conversation design was refreshing. Seeing how our work overlaps and intersects was fascinating, yet each discipline inhabits its unique bubble. The warmth of the atmosphere made it easy to connect with fellow designers despite coming from different backgrounds. 🤖🤖 What struck me most was how intertwined our disciplines genuinely are. In an increasingly conversational world, where interactions with technology become more human-like, the lines between content and conversation blur. It's about creating seamless, engaging experiences that resonate with users on a deeper level.
