I teach web design to college students in the U.S., but my knowledge of theme building was almost nonexistent before I took Fränk's courses. After WordPress 5.9 was released, I realized that full site editing allowed designers to become theme creators without needing to learn PHP. This led me to Fränk's Building Block Themes course for WordPress 5.9, which I carefully followed. This course was a game changer for me. Since then, I've completed his BBT 6.1 course and the free theme.json course, and I now feel very comfortable with full site editing, theme.json, and designing block themes. Not only do I now teach my students some of the same skills I learned from Fränk, but I built my own bare bones theme for them to use as a starting point in class. I recommend these courses highly, especially for people who appreciate a no-nonsense, let's get down to business approach to the material, and I look forward to any future WordPress and web development courses that Fränk creates.

Fränk’s domain knowledge of WordPress is what sets him apart. From Classic to the new paradigm of blocks. He combines his knowledge with experience. Learn the WHY, the how and the where. Everything from blocks, to editors, templates and theme.json. 4) I highly recommend this course. I recommend ALL of Fränk's courses.

I may have first seen Fränk's work on the platform formerly known as Twitter. I subscribed to his email list (highly recommend!) and started learning something new almost immediately. He provided a free video lesson from his Block Theme Academy that covered theme.json which was well-paced, insightful, and just the thing I needed. I was worried about the cost but knew I needed to invest in learning block theme development. Mid-way through and I've already learned a lot. I appreciate the depth and thoughtfulness behind this course. It's very forward-thinking and provides an excellent context for what to expect from the future of WordPress. Thank you!
