During birth I felt so much comfort and relief knowing she was there, and she worked so well alongside the nurses to make sure I was comfortable and that labor was progressing. In meeting her beforehand, I got such a strong sense of her passion for birth and it made me feel even more excited to meet my little one. Cannot recommend enough!!

As an infant speech-language pathologist and first time parent, it was so important to me to receive evidence-based information to apply to my own birthing experience, and it was so valuable to be in an in-person environment with other birthing people. Kelsea was a phenomenal doula. This was my second birth but it was the first birth experience for my doula. Boober training and Kelsea’s personality are an exceptional combination. Kelsea was extremely thorough with my birth plan, answered my questions and helped me ask my doctor questions I never thought of. I had to face a lot of daunting decisions such as whether or not to be induced with pitocin. Nothing was going as planned yet she helped keep my spirits up and wouldn’t allow me or my husband to sink into despair. Kelsea was the perfect asset to my birth team and allowed my husband to take breaks and relieve stress. She was with me for 48 hours of labor and helped support me postpartum when my baby was whisked away to the special care nursery. Our postpartum visit was very pleasant as well and she gave a delicious home cooked meal. Kelsea is an amazing birth doula that we all need during a life experience as unprecedented as labor.

From there it was easy to set up consultations with birth workers and to pay via the app once I selected someone. I have already recommended this app to several people. Of the million decisions I made around pregnancy and birth, working with Audrey Turgeman may have been the best one. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Audrey is a mother to all first time moms. She brings a calming, positive energy and deep knowledge of practices for providing support during pregnancy and postpartum. She is experienced in both medical and holistic practices - she advised me about what to expect during the day of my labor; the medical requests I could request of my doctor, and had recommended natural, holistic ways to cope with the challenges I've faced during my pregnancy and post partum journey (i.e. at-home exercises, acupuncture, prenatal massage). Audrey is responsive, open-minded, affirming and comforting. She was absolutely essential in ensuring that I was fully guided, coached and comforted during the birth of my daughter.

I had a very long, difficult labor and felt very supported by both Elyse and Shelby throughout. I honestly feel like I couldn't have done it without them. We also booked Elyse for postpartum support and after only 4 hours so far, we have made immense improvements in our first week with baby. 10/10 would recommend! So grateful for both of them!

I could not have asked for a more kind, compassionate, capable, and supportive doula than Shamika Matos. Throughout the months leading up to birth, through a difficult labor and delivery, and postpartum, she has been there for me every step of the way, answering even the smallest questions with care and without judgement. She advised me when I was unsure whether my water broke, then quickly made a plan to meet me at the hospital, where I was induced. I could not have imagined going through my stressful 30+-hour labor and delivery - in which I had to move into a variety of positions for hours in order to reposition the baby - without her. The whole time she was calm, professional, and confident, restoring a sense of control and peace to my partner and me. She worked seamlessly with the rest of my birthing team at the hospital and stayed after my delivery to make sure we were off to a good start. She visited at two weeks postpartum to check up on the baby's development and offered much needed support when I had difficulty breastfeeding. Now that I am 2 months postpartum she still checks in on how we're doing. Shamika feels like family; on the whole, I can’t recommend her more highly enough for moms-to-be in the New York area!

Kesha King is a miracle worker and a great conversationalist. Her years of experience showed and I saw improvement in my baby girls ability to latch within the first 5-10 mins of us trying. Her techniques were great such as using a few sips of bottled milk as a reward after my daughter attempted for a few mins to latch so she wouldn’t get frustrated. When I husband and I applied her techniques alone we saw much improvement still in the breast feeding. Will definitely recommend and would love her doula services for our next child.

From the initial contact the representative Shannon was attentive and contacted me right away to schedule a meeting to get to know me and my needs in a doula. A list was provided of doulas online through the portal. Scheduling with the doulas was easy and Shannon was involved and kept contact with me through email and text. The experience with boober was wonderful and would recommend them to anyone looking for a doula.

Marianne was the best choice I could ever make for me and my daughter. She went above and beyond, and her care, professionalism, compassion, and understanding allowed me to have the natural birth I wanted. Marianne is very knowledgeable and prepares you well for the childbirth event so you feel confident and safe. She advocated for me with my OBGYN and at the hospital, always keeping me at the center, so I relied on her to make informed decisions as we created a deep connection and trust. Marianne was my greatest cheerleader and my rock during labor. I couldn't do it without her because she firmly believed in me when I couldn't and walked me through the labor without leaving my side, always encouraging me and giving me the strength and the guidelines I needed at the crucial moment. Marianne is warmhearted, and you can feel it from day one. My daughter and I will never thank her enough for what she has done for us. She is a miracle and a blessing in our lives. Marianne is a top-notch doula! I wouldn't choose anyone else ever!

I highly recommend this amazing service for new moms. We brought out son home from the hospital last weekend. We received some lactation support in hospital but the visits lasted only 15 minutes or so. After a sleepless first night at home and sore, painful nipples, I texted Boober. I received a text back almost immediately saying someone would call within an hour. We talked about my issues and concerns and she did all the legwork to find a lactation consultant in my area that was available quickly (Julie Rosen). I texted Julie and she called me to chat about my problems and arrange a time to meet. Julie came over that same night, at 11:30pm and stayed until past 2am. She weighed my son before and after a feeding so we could confirm he was getting milk. She reviewed nursing positions and helped me perfect the latch. She showed me breast massage techniques to relieve swelling and enforcement and went over how to use my breast pump. My son ate well that night and slept soundly between feedings. Julie has provided additional support via text/phone in the days that followed. She also provides an insurance coded receipt on the spot so I could submit a claim for reimbursement. Boober was so easy. I made one phone call and they did the work of finding someone nearby who was available quickly. The last thing you want to do when sore from childbirth and sleep deprived with a crying newborn is to make a bunch of phone calls to track down help. Boober did it all for me. So grateful!

I cannot say enough positive things about Jada and her team! I had little support from the lactation consultant at the hospital but assumed it wouldn't be too difficult. Boy was I wrong! As soon as my milk came in I suffered almost immediately from engorgement and my son couldn't latch on. I called the hospital and spoke to a different lactation consultant who offered me poor advice. I reached out to Jada having taken a great infant care and breastfeeding class with Birth Day Presence, and before I knew it, the wonderful Kesha was at my door to bring some relief. She had my son latching on within the hour and armed me with tips and tricks to keep my oversupply at bay. I can't thank them enough!

This was an incredible service that helped us so much on our first day home from the hospital with our new baby. Boober were quick to respond to our text and within a few minutes had scheduled a lactation consultant to come to our house the following day, which was a Saturday on a holiday weekend. Cori, our lactation consultant, was so knowledgeable and reassuring. She had answers for all our questions and years of experience to back them up. She worked with us and our baby to make sure we were latching correctly, practiced various positions and had lots of advice on caring for both ourselves and our child to make sure we were all staying happy and healthy. We can't recommend Cori or Boober enough if you are feeling the least bit unsure about your breast feeding practice!

We needed quick lactation advice when our three-day-old didn't seem to be getting enough breast milk. It was fantastic to text someone knowledgeable and get a lactation counselor to our home the same day - at 8:30 on a Saturday night, no less. Cori was incredibly helpful, working with us for an hour or so to ensure we felt confident before she left. Highly recommend this service!

Eden was a godsend!! and booking through Boober was a breeze! Would definitely recommend this service to all new moms. I'm a FTM and when I got home with my little one after 2 days in the hospital, my nipples were already cracked and bleeding. Every feeding was a nightmare. The hospital nurses did their best to help me with latching, but I was still having serious issues and pain. After 2 hours with Eden, my nursing became 100% pain free. I healed quickly and now nursing is the lovely, comfortable bonding experience it ought to be.

Fantastic service! When I was having engorgement issues, and therefore latching issues, with my son a few days after coming home, I panicked. I had no formula, wanted to avoid supplementing if I could, and just needed help. Boober was there within the hour and worked with me for a few hours on the problem. They also were there for me with follow up questions and were hyper responsive! Definitely recommend.

This is an amazing service and I am so grateful I was referred to it. I had had nursing issues since my son's birth which attributed to some weight loss. I had been exclusively pumping for the first five weeks of his life to ensure weight gain and was beginning to burn out. I called Boober for support and Dawn was so great and connected me to a great  lactation consultant after assessing my specific needs and situation. Grace came to work with us and it couldn't have been a better match. She is fantastic. She uses a holistic, non-judge mental, patient centered approach which makes the experience more collaborative and comfortable. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the science and complex factors that go into breastfeeding -which was mind blowing-  but more importantly her communication, compassion, and decency that go along with all of it made for a perfect combination. She was able to present my family with several options in a treatment plan and put soMuch of my worry and sadness at ease. I was literally crying when I texted the Boober service. It was Saturday and I had been dealing with a series of blocked ducts that would not go away. Within minutes I received a response and within a few hours I was put in touch with Stephanie Heintzler, a IBCLC. She came to my apartment and gave me more information in 2 hours than I had received in 2.5 months of consultations and furious googling. It's a brilliant idea and a necessary service for new moms!!

After taking birthing classes at Birthday Presence (which were great!) I reached out to their lactation consultant services once my son was 1 week old. I had a ton of questions- and after texting their consultant line i was able to see someone in my home within a few hours! Cori came to the rescue- and not only gave me great hands-on breastfeeding advice, but also awesome practical new mom skills! Highly recommended- these ladies are a lifesaver!!!!

We had our baby on a Thursday and got in touch with boober on Friday to try and get a good start to latching and feeding. Cori came to the hospital on Saturday and took over 2 hours with us. She taught us so many things, true mechanics of latching, the signs to look for, the reasoning behind establishing a good latch, the effects it can have down the line, etc. it was amazing. I wish there was an extra kudos button to add to this 5-star review - 5 stars isn't enough! I cannot express how life saving Jada and Eden were to our breast feeding situation. Even though on my third child, and having had the help of lactation consultants in the hospitals, I still had latching issues and oversupply problems. The other consultants were clinical in resolution, whereas Jada and Eden used a personalized approach. They listened to my concerns, asked me questions, checked baby's anatomy, and made a specific strategy to get supply regulated and baby doing a successful, deep latch. Positioning tips were so well explained and immediately helpful; I finally had the confidence I needed to continue nursing. I had almost given up this time. It is also important to mention the background of these women - it is clear they are well traveled and expertly educated in their field. They are also contributing to the community by developing breast feeding programs to help under privileged families. The dedication they have to their work and their communities speaks worlds about the attention and care they will provide you as a client. I highly recommend them for any lactation/nursing issue!

I used this service after being home for 5 days with my newborn and having a lot of difficulty breastfeeding. I had another lactation consultant cancel an appointment before I called Boober so I was feeling really frustrated and upset. I received a response very quickly and was set up with a consultant to come out to see me in the North West Bronx the same day! Alicia was wonderful and took her time to help me and my baby. I would 100 % recommend this service to any struggling moms out there.

I was practically in tears after being discharged from the hospital.  I had worked with the hospital Lactation consultants but hadn't found them very helpful.  I was in pain, I felt like my milk hasn't come in yet. I knew my baby was hungry, but I was dreading every feed. I texted boober and Cori was at my house in s couple of hours.  She worked with me on positioning and fixed a latch issue.  She was so kind and patient and I felt much more comfortable by the time our session was over. I've been exclusively breastfeeding since, and our baby was back at her birth weight for her first checkup! Can't recommend highly enough.

I am forever grateful that Boober sent me Emma. She has been a blessing to work with and I find her methods and techniques superior to the information provided to me by several other lactation consultants. I had many questions regarding pumping and was stressing out on a Friday night about going to work for the first time the next week. I emailed boober and they texted me later that same evening and then called me in the morning (yes Saturday morning) to help set up a time to chat. They were able to give me an appointment same day or whenever ! I opted for a Monday appointment. I was so relieved and felt cared for. My appointment helped give me confidence in my pumping journey. Danice was very helpful and helped me to understand why I was having so much pain with breast feeding. She provided me with plenty of resources and suggestions to continue to provide my baby with breast milk and hopefully reintroduce breast feeding down the road. She was very compassionate, and supportive of me. Being a new mom is emotional and stressful and wonderful all at the same time, and she made reminded me that I'm doing all of the right things.

I had a virtual session through Boober with Jada. Her expertise and understanding really made me feel comfortable and encouraged me on the breast feeding path. Through the virtual session we were still able to work through my concerns and I was able to obtain targeted guidance. Jada even looped in another specialist to help us with the baby's ties. Boober is wonderful! I have taken several of their classes and used them to find different service providers throughout my pregnancy/4th trimester. Their customer service is very friendly, helpful, and they are quick to respond. When I was having a lot of difficulty with breastfeeding they connected me with Nina who is AMAZING! She has provided me and my family with so much support and information. She is incredibly patient, kind, and encouraging. Her wealth of information has been invaluable and she really listens to our concerns. I cannot say enough great things about Nina and Boober!

This is a review for the Infant CPR class with Vanessa. I HIGHLY recommend the class, and I have taken others before. Vanessa is super clear, concise, and effective in delivering this crucial info and making it stick. I can tell I will retain the information and feel clear about how to assess a child in an emergency situation and make the best decisions about how to intervene.

Boober connected me with a local lactation consultant.  I requested to see a consultant and they were able to find me one on the same day.  I'm in NJ and thought it would be more difficult to get someone in-person, but Boober definitely came through for me.  Julie, a certified lactation consultant, came in-person and had great Covid-safe precautions so we all felt safe.  She was very helpful and was very kind after I asked the same questions over and over. I'm also still cable to communicate with her since we have 2 weeks of unlimited texts.  I feel more confident with breastfeeding with Julie's help.  Thanks Boober!

I felt prepared for birth even though in the end I had a very quick labour and delivery. I took the Newborn Care Zoom class and it was just OK...my husband actually fell asleep within the first 15 minutes.  Maybe this class would be better in person, but for $45 they showed at least 3 youtube videos that you can watch for free online.  Pretty much everything else that was covered I have already read about in books or on the internet.  I'm sure that there are useful classes that are offered, but this was my first one and it kind of left a bad impression on me.  For those looking to save some time and money, I suggest checking out free online resources over this (there are plenty).

I had super positive experiences with Boober during my pregnancy! Boober's one stop shop platform made it super easy for me to find and register for two nearby education classes (infant safety/CPR and newborn care) and to connect with an amazing birth doula. She came to my apartment and we set a plan to increase my milk supply, which has been improving ever since. She's also a genuine, knowledgeable and caring consultant - she has been an invaluable resource when I have questions and even follows up with me to make sure I'm doing ok.I highly recommend both Boober and Shoshanna!!!

I could not recommend Jada and Boober more!  The idea of on demand lactation consultants who come to you is not only genius, but so necessary in a culture that is grossly uneducated in breastfeeding and so much misinformation out there. So many initial concerns, troubles and general fears are eliminated by having a professional show you the ropes and ensure that you are set up for success.  Just a few days after giving birth, I was having trouble with achieving a proper latch. I texted Jada and she was at my apartment within an hour of my text and was so reassuring, knowledgeable and wonderful at making me feel confident in my approach suggesting various positions and ultimately helping to ensure long-term success.  9 months later, I am still successfully breastfeeding and with the tools Jada empowered me with, have been able to provide so many friends and family with Boober's information to start the process with confidence and ease.  This is a MUST for new moms! I would give them a hundred stars if I could!

Boober was my personal lifesaver after experiencing a pre-term labor and delivery. I first met Jada at a lecture that she did at Hatch and was super excited to utilize her services post delivery. Little did I know that life had other plans for me and that even though I knew that I didn't get to successfully have my baby, my body thought otherwise. When the milk came in, Jada was so incredibly supportive and provided us with a lactation consultant who checked in with me every day to help me stop the milk as painlessly as possible. She even went above and beyond to send us support groups to help us get through this difficult time emotionally, which was so generous. I can't thank Jada and her team enough for being there for us and we'll definitely be calling them again in the future.

Boober is an amazing service! So easy to use and get the support you need quickly! Boober was sensitive to our budget and our needs and was able to match us with both an excellent lactation consultant and postpartum doula! Really helped put a new mom's worries at ease.

My husband and I were hesitant about taking any "birthing course" and could not have enjoyed this experience more Sasha. It was three hours long - traditionally a long time to focus for me! - but went by so fast. Everything she offered to our group was top level, important and clearly stated. For me, it just helped form an image of what it will roughly be like to give birth which helped a lot with any anxiety around it. Would recommend to all mom's to be and feel very grateful I had the opportunity.

My husband and I did a 2 hour private one on one virtual class with Jada Shapiro. Because we have a very specific pregnancy (momo twins that will be delivered via caesarean no later than 34 weeks so likely NICU care for a couple weeks or longer), we felt that a private class was the way to go. We are glad we did it! We were able to cater the course to our specific needs which included caesarean prep, some lactation, and newborn care of twins. Jada was wonderful and is a great resource! She answered all of our questions. Our two hour session was packed with helpful information! We thoroughly enjoyed it and, being first time parents, we feel more confident about the arrival of our twin girls in the next couple months.

I had an excellent experience with Boober! Someone called me to do an intake within 15 minutes of submitting the online form, and I was able to have a virtual session with a LC just a couple hours later. The speed at which Boober connected me with a professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate LC was a huge plus as I was experiencing some breastfeeding issues that needed urgent attention. My provided incredibly helpful real-time coaching and shared lots of tips of techniques for me to try out later. I left feeling much more confident and capable of managing my breastfeeding challenges. Highly satisfied!

1) They are quick to find someone in your area 2) The LCs are knowledgeable 3) Boober is willing to work with you if you're not satisfied with the initial service that you're given 4) I saw 2 LCs on 2 separate occasions and they were both polite and warm. My daughter is on the older side (3+ months) and it has been quite challenging getter her to nurse. I was given several recommendations for next steps. I would recommend their service for a younger baby.

Definitely recommend this service to any mother experiencing challenges with breastfeeding. I tried to navigate through mine on my own which is no way to go through it. I reached out to Boober when I was nearing burnout and giving up. They sent Grace over to help and we couldn’t have found a better match. She uses a holistic approach and combines her extensive knowledge of breastfeeding (which is out of this world) with compassion and great communication. She is totally non-judge mental and collaborative throughout the entire session and treatment planning. She helped me feel empowered and proud of the mother I am regardless of what my breastfeeding journey ended up looking like. Couldn’t recommend her and Boober more.

When you need a lactation consultant you need them immediately. I wish boober been around when my first was born. With him I had to call 10 lactation consultants before finding someone who was available. This was so much easier.

Boober is a brilliant business connecting independent lactation consultants, doulas, massage therapists, etc. with people looking to hire them. They are extremely responsive to requests and will communicate over phone and/or text to make sure they understand your needs and nuances to best match you with a provider. My process was professional and prompt with great options to select from. I’d definitely recommend the service.

Marianne was a total lifesaver in labor and delivery and the time leading up. She was exactly the kind of doula I was looking for as she is extremely well versed in movement and different positions, anatomy and pain management techniques, which is what I was looking for. Recently, my husband and I had the privilege of working with Amy, an exceptional Doula (who I found through Boober), and I am thrilled to share my testimonial about my outstanding experience with her. Amy is one of the most caring people I have ever met. She was patient, understanding, and compassionate during my pregnancy, childbirth, and early child-rearing. From the beginning, I noticed how knowledgeable and empathetic she is. We were particularly fearful of a cesarean birth. Amy responded by walking us through all of the medical interventions that might lead to a cesarean birth being more likely. She tailored her support to us from the very beginning. She visited several times during my pregnancy to ensure we adjusted to the changes we were going through, answering all of our questions with evidence-based advice. On the day of my baby girl's birth, Amy arrived soon after we did and stayed with us the entire time. Her calm and reassuring presence put me at ease as she provided physical and emotional support and coached my husband on how best to care for me. I was surprised by how present she was despite how late into the night it was. She endured each hour with me, giving me massages and counter-pressure exercises to cope with the pain. I planned for an unmedicated birth, but at dawn, after hours of pain, I decided to go with an epidural, and Amy supported my decision. If it wasn't for Amy, I couldn't have been without an epidural for as many hours as I did. Postpartum, Amy visited us regularly, offering emotional support, breastfeeding assistance, and practical guidance for caring for our newborn. Her genuine care and dedication extended far beyond the birth. I don't have enough words to express how happy my husband and I are that we met her. I can confidently say that Amy not only greatly enhanced my birth experience with her presence but that without her, my chances for a C-Section would have increased dramatically, as well as the overall pain, stress, and anxiety. I would wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone seeking an extraordinary doula. If I have a second baby, I will want to have Amy by my side again.
