BuJo U has rebooted my BuJo experience. I was in a funk and needed some inspiration and accountability. I work from home on my own and it sometimes gets boring. I can take a break and checkin with BuJo U to learn something new. I love it! BuJo is also a very important part of maintaining my mental health. Joining BuJo U has helped me reconnect with my planner and journal.

Surprise. BuJoU enabled me to make myself way better at BuJo. However this assumed initial intent is dwarfed by the real outcome: I steadily became a better version of myself by learning from the challenges and struggles of others and, most importantly, observing the compassionate advise and support from total strangers. In short I was surprised to see myself grow just by being a member.

The variety of content, the frequency, and the LIVES with Ryder and his team, which is way beyond the videos available on YouTube. The price is worth it, because it expands your connection with the Bullet Journal concept without the hype. I have always loved Ryder's calm energy & TRUE authenticity. The Basic & Beyond course is so informative and insightful as I have watched portions of it numerous times as needed. At the time I signed up, I wasn't sure if the costs were on a monthly or annual basis. I took the risk and signed up any ways, and I'm so glad I did! :-) I am totally grateful for the “Mindfulness Daily” 40-day free course via Insight Time website. It has helped me with my mental/emotional health x10, which was one of my goals this year!!! I have used the Insight Timer website frequently prior to BuJo U, but never really paid attention to the list of courses available on the website until BuJo. Absolutely love it! So glad I did the course. The 40-day course is so worth it as it really takes you thru what actually “mindfulness” is, which is kind of hard to explain initially. Without running the risk of sounding like an advertisement, BuJo U was something I needed without realizing I needed as it's was an escape back to Self, which I SO NEEDED. Thank you Ryder! :-)

One of the most pleasant surprises I came across at BuJo U was the stream-lined, no-ads approach. Everything can be tailored to your needs, wants, and interests, and there is no pressure to stay with one area; you can change and adjust your preferences as you go. I wish I'd known about the support available from our kind community. People respect your efforts to learn, understand, and make the bullet journal method your own. Willing to share ideas, encouragement, and even instruction, our community shines in this area. Being a BuJo U member has made me a braver, more curious, and thoughtful person. The confidence gained in sharing one's learning has been one of the biggest rewards of this membership. You can't put a price on that, and that is the case for the best things I have gained here.

The level of actionable content all in one place. It’s also been a space where I can choose to process the information and apply it, then revise and/or pivot and still feel like I’m learning about my self and the way my mind works. This is the first time I haven’t abandoned a practice or started over with another “tool” ever! It’s freeing. I dip in and dip out of reading and interacting and it feels like it’s coming back to center. ❤️ Oh and the course…. changed everything for me. I had so many ah ha moments of realization.

The community. The experience, the thoughts, the practice that we share with each other’s… we keep learning and evolving with the knowledge and practice of the members of BujoU. And also the possibility to access to your knowledge and learn with you, Ryder, how your practice as also changed. This we can’t get through the book. My intention when I became a member was to feel part of a community, this community, and contribute with my practice… I remember that we were not even 1000 when I joined. My practice has changed. It’s much different when you read the book and see examples at the internet. My bujo practice is now much deeper, clear and intentional, because of what I learned from other members on their posts, from what they share on the events, what you shared on the events, and what I learned at the course made it all different. It’s a privilege to be able to communicate with so many people and none of us do the same thing the same way and learn from each other.

Membership in BuJo U is nothing short of life changing. I started a BuJo practice at the beginning of 2021. It is an ever evolving practice. The BuJo course, the online meetings, the new concepts that are constantly introduced, the book club and the new experiments challenge and elicit thought and personal growth, deeper thought and personal growth.

The community is so delightful. It’s unlike any other social media site I’ve used. We stay on task and are all supportive of one another. The diversity overall is valuable. I didn’t have any preconceived notions of BuJo U. I came in with an open mind and wanting to learn more. I’ve been fascinated by the way the core of Bujo has evolved and grown. I used to avoid the Weekly collection but have found it’s an easy way for me to reflect in short stints. Seeing how others use their Bujo has given me ideas on how to let my use grow for the benefit of not only productivity but peace of mind.

The first question for me on BuJo U was ""$200? Really? The book is cheap and BuJo is really just about a notebook. I could buy a really nice notebook for $200."" Then I realized 2 things. 1) The question isn't, ""Is the content worth $200"" but ""Do I want to spend $200 on my BuJo practice?"" I bought the class and really worked to get my $200 worth, watching a video every morning and reading the comments along with it. It got me in an awesome mindset for the day. 2) Also, at the time I was working with an Executive Functioning coach and spending $200/hour. At that wound down I found myself saying, ""I'd much rather be spending this time on my BuJo."" The second big thing about this community is that I get to hack it to be whatever I want. From the outside, BuJo looks like a bunch of super-organized people and artists who are killing it with life. But I've realized that it's not about making great art or being super organized. It's about using the BuJo method to get just a little bit better every day and making my system a little bit better every day. The BuJo community let's us inside how the system works and let's me see that we're all (Ryder, Jessica, everyone else) are all getting a little bit better together.

I was surprised at how much knowledge hosts and members had on mindfulness and productivity. But I'm a super down-to-earth way. Oh, and subtle humor from Jessica and Ryder on calls. If you're not listening, you'll miss it. Being in the community has encouraged me to keep going with my practice. And continuing my bujo practice has been great for my mental health. Even if I only catch replays of events, they help keep me on track. And there's something about knowing others who are just as enthusiastic about bujo that helps me stay motivated.
