Transforming Through Coaching: Lessons, Tools, and Growth

This year, one of the most impactful decisions I made was to work with Kraig, as part of my journey toward self-actualization and growth. Reflecting on this experience, I am incredibly grateful for the transformation I’ve undergone, the tools and frameworks I’ve embraced, and the confidence I’ve built. Below, I’ve captured the essence of this journey and Kraig’s invaluable contributions to my growth.

Key Highlights of Working with Kraig:

1. Kraig’s ability to listen goes beyond hearing my words. He listens to the unspoken, reads between the lines, and connects dots in ways I hadn’t considered. This has brought tremendous clarity to my thoughts and has allowed me to address challenges with a fresh perspective. I bring this as the first point because I have learnt a lot from his methods and am trying to put it in my own practice.

2. Kraig’s approach is never prescriptive. He asks the right questions that prompt introspection and self-discovery. This has given me the space to explore, delve deeper, and make well-informed decisions that resonate with my values and aspirations.

3. Kraig has introduced me to several tools and techniques that have significantly enhanced my productivity and focus:

 - Focus: To maintain and improve concentration on critical tasks.

 - Obsidian: For organized and efficient note-taking.

 - OmniFocus: To streamline task management and prioritization.

 - Flying Logic: For visualizing workflows and strategic thinking.

 - ContextDriven.ai: To integrate AI-driven insights into decision-making and my writing.

 - Readwise, Audible, and Kindle: While I was already familiar with Audible and Kindle, Kraig showed me how to automate processes and maximize their utility for long-term benefits.

Additionally, Kraig shared numerous book recommendations, concepts, and frameworks that have broadened my horizons and deepened my understanding in various areas.

4. A pivotal realization was the importance of doubling down on my strengths rather than spending excessive energy on improving weaker areas. This shift in perspective has led to satisfaction in my personal and professional pursuits.

5. My confidence has grown exponentially since working with Kraig. This growth has been reflected in the feedback I’ve received from colleagues and associates, affirming the positive changes in my demeanor and performance.

6. My self-awareness and self-regulation have significantly improved, leading to better emotional intelligence. This growth has been noticed and appreciated by those around me, further validating the progress I’ve made.

7. Kraig has been a consistent source of accountability, ensuring I stay on track with my goals.

While this might sound like just gratitude, it is more than that. This reflection focuses on the lessons I have learned, the profound impact these have had on my personal and professional life, and how Kraig’s guidance has been a cornerstone of this journey.

As a recovering perfectionist, I’ve spent a lot of time feeling like I should have had things figured out by now. Then came Kraig, with his compassionate insights that hit just right.

Working with him felt like finding a compass when you didn’t even realize you were wandering. He not only helped me clarify my vision but, more importantly, showed me how to prioritize myself—managing my emotions and my neuro-spicy brilliance with a much-needed dose of kindness and grace.

Kraig struck that perfect balance between accountability and grace, which is exactly what I needed. It wasn’t just about getting things done in my professional life; it was about learning to be kind to myself in the process.

His coaching gave me tools to manage my work and my mindset in a way that left room for both growth and self-compassion.

This balance has even started showing up in my consulting work, where I’m now better equipped to extend the same grace and accountability to others while embracing it for myself.

Honestly, working with Kraig has been a breath of fresh air. His communication is so clear that it made it easy to trust the process, and after each session, I felt more empowered and capable. I didn’t just walk away with insights—I walked away with a clear path forward and a lot more self-compassion. And that, in true Kraig fashion, is the gift that keeps on giving.

Hi, I'm Jordan, and I've been on a lifelong quest for the perfect productivity system. It started with simple to-do lists for chores as a kid, evolved into project management at work, and now, thanks to Kraig Parkinson's Integral Productivity coaching, it's become a powerful tool for self-expression and personal growth.

Before Kraig, I was caught in a cycle of perfectionism and low self-esteem. Kraig changed that. He's helped me navigate dysfunctional motivations, taught me how to Get Things Done, and most importantly, provided the space and perspective for me to build a personal productivity system that works for me instead of against me.

The impact? - I feel like there's a rudder in my boat - I am now able to order from Amazon confident that I will return the package - I have a routine and schedule that feels like rungs on a ladder that help me climb higher instead of shackles that hold me down - I can create from a sense of wonder and self-expression instead of fear If you're tired of one-size-fits-all productivity hacks and want a system that evolves with you (because it is you), Integral Productivity coaching is the way to go.

Currently, I'm working on Virgil, a tool designed to bring multiple perspectives to issues and aid in self-expression. It's my way of turning my passion for productivity into something that can help others.

Kraig's coaching has been transformative. I've picked up crucial skills like GTD (Getting Things Done) and learned how to implement it in systems like Omnifocus. More importantly, I've gained insights into my own thinking patterns and values. I've achieved a shift from fear-based motivation to genuine self-expression, and I'm now more confident about decisions made with incomplete data.

My interest in Integral Productivity coaching grew organically. Kraig started as my consultant at HyreCar, where he taught me about lean management and service design. His approach resonated with me, especially how he subtly validated my frustrations with corporate culture. When I needed help navigating a new corporate environment and organizing my life, I reached out to Kraig for mentorship, which eventually evolved into a coaching relationship.

The best thing about Integral Productivity coaching is how personalized and holistic it is. Kraig doesn't just offer one-size-fits-all productivity hacks. Instead, he provides the space and perspective for me to build my own system that aligns with my values and evolves with me. It's not just about doing more; it's about becoming more authentic and aligned with who I truly am.

The impact has been profound and far-reaching. I've gone from struggling with returning amazon packages to confidently managing multiple projects and life goals. I've developed a personalized productivity system that actually works for me. But beyond that, I've experienced a shift in self-awareness and motivation. I'm more in tune with my values, more confident in my decision-making, and more authentic in my self-expression. It's been a journey from corporate survival to authentic living.

As a young professional balancing career aspirations with personal growth, I turned to Integral Productivity coaching during a challenging transition in my life. This decision has been transformative.

Working with Kraig has given me fresh perspectives on various aspects of my life. His ability to attentively listen and insightfully reframe my thoughts has led to numerous breakthrough moments. His availability and regular sessions help me keep some momentum.

Through this coaching, I've developed awareness of previously neglected areas in my life and acquired skills to manage my time and energy more effectively. I've not only met the expectations of my new role at work but also carved out time for personal interests.

The simultaneous advancement in my career and personal life has created a powerful momentum that propels me forward each day. Integral Productivity coaching has equipped me with the tools and mindset to balance professional success with personal fulfillment.

I look forward to continuing to work with Kraig as I explore and build the life and future that resonates with me.

I am a Queer progressive creative who is finding ways to express myself through art, through my chosen profession, and in how I show up in my everyday life. I am working on how to ethically monetize my artistic pursuits while also maintaining the anchors that help me manage my ADHD and anxiety/depression in a way that’s soft and kind to myself.

The coaching has helped me feel confident about using self-care and self-development as the framework through which I anchor my life. I realize my dreams are too small, and with the tools Kraig uses to help reframe the work I’ve already done, every step of the goal process, from idea spark to completion, is relevant and matters and should be considered true steps on the journey.

The best thing about the Integral Productivity coaching experience is how Kraig shows up for you and uses his empathy-forward and holistic approach to coaching and the pacing of the coaching contract.

The impact of this coaching has been monumental and is still with me even while I take a temporary break from the coaching. Here are four examples:

 1. I body-doubled with a close friend who was having a rough day, using reframing techniques (legitimizing work I’d already done toward goals that seemed too daunting to tackle) and specific ADHD tools to help us both move forward in our goals for the day: timeboxing specifically.

 2. I used the timeboxing technique to continue developing the organizational and developmental applications I learned during the coaching contract (specifically Reclaim.ai, ClickUp, and various chatGPT bots [specifically Budget Buddy]), helping me fill in the gaps where my neurodivergence might slow me down or frustrate me.

 3. I used the above techniques (and other meditation/journaling techniques) to create an “opening the day” routine and “closing the day routine”, in which I was able to see how much time I really do have and what things I really want to prioritize for this phase of my life (reading physical books with all of my physical devices on DND for 30 minutes each evening).

 4. I advocated for a piece of technology that I needed for my day job so that I could create a structure for myself that’s easy to duplicate and delegate to someone so I can enjoy my vacation. In addition, Kraig’s methods and feedback helped me plan and realize that work as part of my larger goal of eventually leaving my job and getting better employment elsewhere while also maintaining the relationships I’ve had with my colleagues at the company for 10 years.
