Before taking the Powerful Presenter course through AWSN nearly three years ago, I constantly declined public speaking opportunities due to a lack of confidence, especially afraid that the audience wouldn't understand my accent. 

Emily's course completely transformed me. With Emily's tips and support of wonderful classmates, I gained the courage to deliver my first presentation, and it was a turning point. That initial success snowballed—now I feel confident and try to make the experience enjoyable every time I speak.

The Powerful Presenter Program has been extremely helpful - I have feel way more comfortable presenting. 

Emily helped me understand how to create engaging presentation and how to look at technical topics and presentation from a different perspective (the one that I haven't thought of before).

The biggest change for me is in my mindset and confidence towards presenting. I went from as reluctant as one could be, to actually looking forward to the opportunity to present.

That mindset shift has flowed through to not only big presentations, but small presentations and talks that are much more frequent during the work week.

Ooh TPP has been a game changer… I often had to present to management as well as other stakeholders. 

My initial reviews I was anxious … but after 2 or 3 reviews / presentations my confidence was sky high!!

Before TPP, I didn't have a clear structure, so it became hard for audience to always follow. Now I'm not afraid to have a topic thrown at me as I can reach for the tools to help me formulate a valuable presentation.

As a person who was fairly confident when presenting, I think it (TPP) was still a great experience to pick up some things that I didn't previously consider that will definitely enhance future presentations that I will do.

 I am excited to try out the new tools that were taught (particularly how to incorporate a prop).

Previously, I did not feel very confident about speaking/presenting to larger groups - this was an issue because my job requires me to present/speak to large groups on a semi-regular basis. 

What I loved about TPP was the supportive Group environment, the exercises to do during the class and the workbooks to refer back to. After TPP I feel a lot more comfortable now - I understand the principles and have tools to fall back on. 

I have learned lots of handy tricks - eg using metaphors/analogies to help explain security concepts. I don't worry so much about presenting/talking and can consider the audience instead eg reactions. 

I'd highly recommend it.

Before I was a very nervous speaker and there was no structure to the content I was presenting.

I now feel that I could very quickly put together a presentation using the framework we learnt, as proven in session 10.

Although, I wouldn't say I am 100% confident in presenting - the improvement that I have made from TPP is incredible and I would be significantly more comfortable with standing infront of a crowd and speaking.

I would say to make TPP a non-negotiable.

Prior to TPP, I was not fully confident in public speaking and I was lacking techniques that can keep the audience engaged. 

I now possess a greater sense of confidence as I have learned how to effectively engage the audience and capture their attention. 

Whether you are a novice or an experienced individual, the TPP offers something for everyone. It encompasses such a wealth of information that you will be pleasantly surprised by the opportunity to learn new things.

However, if I had to pick, the Showcases were the best aspect. As this provided the opportunity to enhance my public speaking skills by allowing me to interact with the audience, receive feedback, and use that feedback to improve for future occasions. 

Before TPP I was not aware of how to engage audience when presenting, power of pause and I had presentation anxiety and why people will listen to me question. 

All these make me less confident when presenting with anxiety to quickly finish the presentation. For me, everything was helpful but the best thing was the group environment and the valuable feedback every colleague provided to each and the feedback I got from Emily. 

I now feel calm and confident that I can make presentation valuable for audience and interesting by including tools and tactics I learned during TPP. 

 Join it if you get the chance - it will transform you to a great presenter.

Prior to TPP I never felt like I was structured, I always felt I was boring and never felt like I walked away giving people insights into the topic. Now I am going to apply all the strategies I have gained from this course into all my presentations moving forward.

Really valuable, easy to implement and absolutely worth it!

Before TPP I read from power point slides, found it hard to keep people engaged and killed them with death by powerpoint. 

 It made me feel like i'd waffled through the The best aspect of TPP was the Feedback, Workbooks and showcases. Also seeing how others presented gave me many ideas on how I could adjust my presentation skills. 

I can now put together a presentation that is more engaging to those in the audience to get my story across. So they feel connected to my outcome and see the benefit.

Prior to TPP, I got nervous a lot and sometimes I have difficulty in translating technical situation into business language. This was an issue as I have to present to Business and higher up level for Customer. 

The best aspect of TPP for me is I finally identify and find my presentation style. I am more confidence in doing presentation now. 

Before TPP I relied heavily on a script and was not confident on what I was saying. It had a huge impact on presenting and talking at meeting. 

After, I feel a lot more confident in the way I present. I have already presented at a conference without notes. I can now brush off if I forget my train of thought or fumble on a word. 

 I still have work to do in meetings, but am starting to improve to be more vocal in a succinct manner.

Before TPP I used to focus more on my slides than the key messages, also not aligning to 'whats in it for me'? 

The best aspect of TPP was the Storytelling and how to weave a narrative into the messaging. 

 Now i'm much more confident on presenting and clear thought process with the framework that we have learnt in TPP. Looking beyond the clutter and outlining the key messages with a narrative.

Before TPP, I felt nervous.

I dreaded the thought of presentations.

I never knew how to make them interesting.

Now, I feel more confident about presenting.

I have the tools and techniques to ensure my content is tailored for the target audience.

I also know how to keep it engaging from start to finish.

I feel excited to use all the skills I have learned.

Before I lacked confidence and I had prepared lengthy presentations that had no point. Also my presentations did not have the impact on the audience that I wanted. 

I can say that after doing TPP I am much more confident. My mindset is different and I know how to structure my presentations.

It made me think out of the box, and show how to present my ideas from a different and more appealing angle. I didn't realise it would be so valuable to get feedback from peers!

I have been taking your advice from the free session you provided and my confidence has improved a lot. So much that I agreed to be on a panel at Cybercon next week. 

On Monday there is a session on journey into the cyber security awareness space. There will be 4 of us talking about where we’ve transitioned from. I

’m quite excited about the opportunity and little anxious but that’s ok 😃. It’s a small step before doing formal presentations. I just wanted to let you know.

I used to be super nervous, I worried how I spoke and I simply provided facts. 

Now I've learnt how to be more engaging. This will help me get more buy-in, boost my influence, build my personal brand and be able to speak in front of various tech and non-tech with confidence. 

The best part about TPP was the feedback process. You do not get the level of feedback when you do presentations in your daily life.

Before TPP I was very factual and heavily dependant on powerpoint slides. After doing TPP I'm definitely more confident and have a list of tools and ideas to make a more engaging presentation. 

This will now help improve my sales pitches to clients.

Before engaging Emily I was nervous and a bit apprehensive about doing a presentation to a business community about a technical subject to a non technical audience. 

Afterwards my presentation went from very factual and instructive to engaging and story driven. The feedback i've received has been awesome with lots of people getting the help they need and the business getting a boost.
