SP and their Mastermind have been awesome to be a part of. Looking back, I have learned so much and am even getting a place of confidence in topics that I hardly even knew existed a year or two ago. The accelerator is a must for anybody wanting to play their cards right getting into ownership. Highly recommend SP to get started in your dental business knowledge!

The leaders of SP are just the right people to help you through practice ownership (acquisition through execution). They are ambitious in their own professional lives and are generous in their desire and efforts to pass their advice along to others. Even when I don’t always agree 100% with a certain approach or tip they back up what they suggest with numerous examples, viewpoints and data. They also have a variety of backgrounds and come from several different locations to be able to cover so much of what you might want to do as a practice owner. And they do it in a pretty entertaining way. I highly recommend these guys to new and younger dental professionals and even occasionally some older ones looking for a fresh perspective.

If you are thinking about practice ownership. There is no other resource I’d recommend to begin with other than the Analytics Based Pre-Ownership course. Shared Practices clearly defines what practice ownership is and shows what is possible as a practice owner. Don’t go into ownership blindly based on what some other dentist told you what you should do. Your situation is unique and you need guidance on how to fulfill your vision so that a career in dentistry can help fulfill the needs for your life.

Being in POM I am able to have great discussions with like minded people. We all learn from each other. The most impactful thing for me was having people on my side to get me through some tough choices. Joining as a student I was able to experience other peoples journey to ownership. My vision has gotten more specific overtime and SP has been a large part of why I was able to decide on what I really wanted for my future. Being able to share my vision with other allows them to help keep me accountable.

As a student joining Mastermind, I was skeptical at first and thought it wouldn’t be useful to me. 1.5 years later, I can honestly say that being part of this group has changed my mindset, my drive and the trajectory of my career. I am a ten times better and more knowledgeable dental student and future practice owner, and am much more confident in navigating private practice thanks to the Mastermind group.

ABPO was an essential part to solidifying my understanding of the importance of my vision, evaluating practices, and the process of purchasing a practice. Whether you are an associate dentist or a dental student, this course is second to none in helping the "pre-owner" feel more confident on their path to becoming a "practice owner." The knowledge, energy, and confidence I took with me from this event has drastically changed my approach to practice ownership.

Shared Practice was such a profound, inclusive experience that answered so many questions and steered me in the right direction. I enjoyed the intimacy and openness of the Shared Practice team. They have provided such great tools to help navigate practice ownership. Right now, I feel as if they are "holding my hand" through this process. I am currently working on practice ownership immediately after graduation and I am definitely having Shared Practice by my side. The only thing I wished I had done differently would have been to attend in my DS1 year. Dental school and the DSO mafia come in to brainwash and crush practice ownership visions from day one. Having the "Shared Practice Shield" could protect so many dental visions early on. Lastly, "iron sharpens iron" in the Mastermind community and I am excited to be a dental practice owner straight out of dental school because of Shared Practice!!!!

The thing about Shared Practices is that it is a company that has all the support you need to build your ideal future in dentistry. Whether you are a seasoned dentist or a dental student, SP has a community that is geared towards helping everyone gain the skills and knowledge to manifest their dream career. Why should you consider joining a mastermind in dental school? Well, prior to dental school every pre-dental student is studying hard, doing extra-cirriculars, shadowing dentists, and practicing hand skills so they can PREPARE FOR THEIR FUTURE. But for some reason, once we get into dental school we STOP doing all we can to prepare for our future and most of us just ride out our education. But once we graduate it is a whole new world. Full of confusing insurance, associate compensation, support staff, dental coding, taxes, overhead, practice evaluation, real estate and more. The student & pre-owner mastermind has allowed me to learn all I can about tortuous waters of buying a dental practice and being a successful practice owner. Because of the mastermind I can efficiently evaluate a practice as well as navigate a practice transition. The mastermind has also helped me build "my vision" or my ideal practice/life situation. When you are surrounded by a community that has an abundance mindset, it allows you to define a vision that leaves nothing off the table. Because of SP, I feel confident that I have set my self up for a successful career in dentistry.

Shared Practices is one of the reasons I am so excited and optimistic about my future career in dentistry. The podcast, masterminds, monthly forums and community support have helped me immensely. The most impactful piece of knowledge I have gained from SP is a true nailing down of my vision. I now know what I want in my ideal dental practice and I feel I have a good understanding of how to get there.

- Shared Practices stood out to me because of the opportunity to network with dentists and professionals across the country who all shared a common goal. Seeing people achieve their goals and help others do the same is something special. - Joining the Shared Practices Network is a great idea to a dentist (or dental student) at any level of training because of the amazing insight you get to have. From getting random questions that you have answered to webinars you can join, it is never too early to start learning the stuff that the SP Mastermind provides. - The most impactful thing I've learned from the Mastermind is that I can genuinely achieve my goals that I have set out for myself. Seeing others out there strive for and eventually surpass their goals is inspirational to me as I know that I am only a few years away from being where they are. - I am about a 6/10. SP does an amazing job of giving you some of the key performance indicators (KPIs) when evaluating practice. However, while I know what the KPIs that someone needs to look for are, I have not had the opportunity to see many situations of someone breaking down bank statements (Income statement, Balance sheet, etc.) for me to feel confident enough that I could find/calculate the KPIs of a successful practice. - I believe of someone were to "define their vision," they would be describing where they see themselves in 2, 5, 10 years and beyond. One of the most critical things you can do for yourself is set goals and visualize them to achieve them. Since joining SP, I wouldn't say the vision I had for myself has changed much about practice ownership, it has however become more clear. SP has built confidence in myself that I can achieve the vision I have set for myself, and I am excited for the journey to come!

I've listened to Shared Practices well before beginning dental school and I joined the mastermind group as soon as it became available. The SP team and mastermind group have been extremely helpful in helping me hone MY vision. Everyone is different, we each have different goals and SP gets that! No matter your vision, SP and mastermind offers you support.

Great community of dentist who are motivated to improve their careers and help each other out. Everyone is very supportive and if you have any doubts about owning an office and improving your career, they’re there to support you. Since I’ve joined I’m much more confident in being able to assess practices because of conversations with other doctors and students alike. They’ve definitely helped me avoid a lot of mistakes and heartache and would recommend to anyone who needs a strong group to help them accomplish their goals.

A few impactful things I've learned in the Mastermind since I've joined have been finding answers to specific questions and getting actionable pieces of advice from Mastermind members, even if it's not one of my own questions. That has been very helpful. How confident are you in your ability to evaluate practice opportunities to navigate an acquisition? I feel pretty comfortable. One of the things that I've learned that has been most helpful is the importance of preserving the goodwill in an acquisition. And I feel like knowing what is typical in each specific market for acquisitions has been really helpful.

Should someone join if they're a student? Definitely, because by the time you actually need to apply what you're learning, if you have not been preparing, you're going to be scrambling last second, so it's better to be prepared for opportunities when they present themselves instead of scrambling at the last minute. What people mean when they ask to find your vision is, in my opinion, asking yourself what would you want in your ideal life, work, and personal life situation and then going for that.
