Just wanted to share a kudos to Sandler Training 😄. Had a big opportunity meeting yesterday with a prospect (Dupont) and got to use again some of the training I learned! They brought up a pain of a service and I asked "and how much time would that quantify in your day", she shared some and I asked "what would you be able to redirect your focus on if we could get you that time back?" then upon conclusion her boss said - you know you just exposed a huge pain point and an expense that is not on paper that needs to be fixed. Kudos to you (I was with my boss, so he looked at me when he shared the remarks), and said you may have just saved us tens of thousands of dollars, so lets continue this conversation to see what other analysis can get us to a better position with supplies and valuable service. Felt nice to have that confidence in the meeting to know I was heading them in the right direction; while getting to the bottom of true pain.

I started sitting in on some Sandler meetings with a colleague prior to being in a position where it was more relevant to my position. I then decided to revisit this course, specifically the Hiring Sprint, after jumping into recruiting. After our first Hiring Sprint meeting, I had a vast list of notes with takeaways and other ways of doing things that I was already doing with little success. I then discovered I was completely mismanaging my time in several areas that I felt "unaccomplished" in. With the help of the Sandler team, I was able to figure out what areas I needed to improve, what tools I needed to get me there, and how to manage my time more effectively. Sarah was even kind enough to have a "debrief" session with me to see if I had any remaining questions or feedback based on the topics we discussed in the hiring sprint. I am extremely grateful for the Sandler team and the resources and support they offer!

Most seasoned or so called seasoned and experienced salespersons believe their style is effective and additional sales training will tweak and perhaps enhance their current method of sales. Sandler was the complete opposite for me! Sandler has taught me equal stature, upfront contracts, the pain funnel and how important pain statements are, reversing, time blocks, and the 30 second commercial. My key takeaway was the upfront contract and the pain funnel. I have already taken these tactics and applied them to my sales calls. I think they help set the tone and expectation of the call so both parties are on the same page. The sales training was great and really helped me learn how to conduct a proper sales call to seal the deal.

I completed my Sandler training over the summer and was very pleased with the entire experience. For me, I think one of the more meaningful takeaways was learning how to properly qualify and, maybe even more importantly, disqualify leads early on in the sales pipeline. While I would love to work with every connection I make in my networking and traveling, it is unrealistic to assume that every company is facing an issue that I have the perfect solution for - and that's okay! Disqualifying a lead early on is an important process to ensure you are not wasting your or their time and they can find the right solution for their pain point, while I can find the right customer for my solutions. Ironically, I was not focused in direct sales when I started my training with Sandler, but actually picked up some sales accounts throughout the duration of the classes. I started sales training as a way to brush up on an old skillset I used in previous jobs, as well as to help me with the business development side of my role. I have found this program changed my day-to-day within my current role, while also expanding my skillset to pick up a sales adjacent role within my organization. If I were to chat with someone who is either on the edge of deciding to go through Sandler training or just has not gone through an organized professional development training program in the past, I would highly recommend it. It helped boost my confidence in networking and speaking with new people. My sales training has also made my job more efficient in that I have learned effective ways to qualify leads that make sense for me, while disqualifying the ones that don't. Overall, I think anyone working in a customer-facing position can benefit from the coaching and training of the Sandler program. And not for nothing, Sarah S. from Sandler Miami was the best :) She was involved with my training from the beginning and continues to be a resource for me to this day, long after I completed my certification. It is very apparent that the coaches and success managers in the program are passionate about their roles and care about helping people become the best salesperson they can be!
