Great course, very informative, easy to follow and listen to! Katie, you rock. I wish I had a preceptor and a professor like you! Glad to have found you now! This course lays a great foundation of critical thinking to build upon for new nurses, struggling nurses, or nurses that are new to bedside.

[CRITICAL THINKING] It gives a balanced perspective of critical thinking and the components of critical thinking that can be improved by individuals, rather than presenting CT as something you are born with or not born with.

[CRITICAL THINKING] The key points were covered in a way that everyone who spent the time going through the course could learn to fine tune their nursing. If only schools would present courses like this with such a complete process and include examples of similarities without sameness regarding patient presentations.

[CRITICAL THINKING] The guidance re: communicating with physicians was excellent. I'm grateful to have had multiple preceptors that helped with this, too - it's great to have another perspective as well. Communication is KEY for patient success!

[CRITICAL THINKING] I am new to the ortho-neuro unit and haven't been in the hospital in 10+ years, though I have been a nurse for 19 years. I am relearning many things I used to know, and this course has definitely helped me as I regain my footing in the hospital. Thank you.

[CRITICAL THINKING] Each module had something beneficial to take with me on my daily walk as a nurse.

[CRITICAL THINKING] It was helpful that factors that can contribute to developing critical thinking skills were tackled separately and then pulled together in actual examples. I found it helpful that there was a video and an audio file so I could hear the same key points twice, which helps me with retention.

[CRITICAL THINKING] I loved this entire course! The areas of time management and prioritization are extremely beneficial and helpful. I also love how you emphasize the importance of being kind to yourself! I had a terrible nursing program experience that negatively changed me as a person and nurse. I’m trying my best to look forward but seem to be struggling with it.

I just finished the Critical Thinking for Nurses course, and I would highly recommend it to any new nurse and nursing students. I am a student in my last semester, and I wish I had taken this course in my first semester. It would have clarified a lot of questions and unknowns for clinical rotations and likely would have lessened my anxiety and fear. I purchased this as a packaged deal with her cardiac course (will do next) & initially didn't think I would learn much in the critical thinking course, but I was dead wrong. This course improved my mindset on many issues. And I feel more relaxed & confident going into my next clinical rotation. You also learn the pitfalls when assumptions are made instead of taking the time to properly use your critical thinking skills - valuable lessons. Great time-management tips as well!
