Hi, I'm George, the owner of Original Concepts. We're a company specializing in designing and building ecommerce websites for our clients. We've been in business for 13 years now, and while we've made several attempts to scale up, each time something went wrong and we ended up having to let go of employees we'd worked so hard to bring on board. Eventually, I realized the real issue wasn't with hiring or the people themselves - it was with our management style and lack of operating system. I loved their 16-week program concept, and it inspired us to create our own 3-week website development timeline: week one for content, week two for development, and week three for training and launch. We're halfway through the program now, and we've already mapped out our entire marketing and delivery process visually - a clear 3-week journey from client sign-off to completion. We've created detailed guides for all the crucial steps and organized everything into a comprehensive playbook. When we landed a new client, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to test our new system - to see if we could actually deliver a website in 3 weeks and if the team could follow our new documentation. The client onboarding process used to be this complicated thing that took me over an hour, with lots of back-and-forth. For the first time ever, I handed it off to our outsource office manager with the new guide. I just said, "Yuli, here's the guide - could you set up the new client in our system?" An hour later, she called to say she was done. When I checked her work, everything was perfect - not a single detail missed. I was blown away. Something I'd been doing for years, someone else could now do just as well. That was great, but the real test was still ahead - the 3-week timeline. During our kickoff meeting, we scheduled two follow-ups: one to show the site and another for launch. This was new territory for us, and I was nervous about hitting these deadlines. But amazingly, everything was ready for the second meeting - we showed the client their site and confirmed the launch date. When launch day came, everything went exactly as planned. I followed up with the client afterward, and they couldn't stop raving about how organized and punctual the whole process was. This journey with scalable.co has given me so much hope. Even though my country has been at war for over a year and times are tough, this program has shown me there's a light at the end of the tunnel. I can't wait to see what the second half of the program brings. I'm excited about finally transitioning from working in my business to actually running it. There is a lot of opportunity in telecommunications right now. I've been expanding my vision of what's possible, but didn't know how to get there, nor how to prepare my company for the opportunity ahead. Up until the Get Scalable Accelerator, growth would have meant an increase in chaos. Through mapping our fulfillment engine and creating Playbooks, we began to get a handle on what our business does, and some gaps we needed to fill. Playbooks, and specifically the Get Scalable method for creating Playbooks, have greatly accelerated our ability to crosstrain. We were able to take an admin person in our office, and have her go through a Playbook for Construction Quality Control and perform the task nearly flawlessly. Previously this would have been something requiring years of experience to complete. This drastically transforms the candidate pool when hiring to fill that position. It also allows people to backfill if someone is sick or on leave. We've taken the experience, and turned it into a detailed "how-to". This is a big need in the trades. I hear from people regularly who want to scale back their business because it's gotten unmanageable. Thankfully that's not me! We will likely 2x our revenue from last year and could 3x and it's exciting and not panic-inducing. The opportunity to scale has never been more realistic for our company than it is right now. When I joined the Get Scalable Accelerator, I was stuck in that familiar trap a lot of small business owners and leaders of smaller teams fall into - doing too much myself, being a bottleneck, stepping in to solve problems and recognizing that the business couldn’t scale unless I changed how I operated. I run two recurring revenue service businesses in the home services space, pressure washing for retail centers and trash can cleaning for residential homes. This involves managing field crews, scheduling, customer service, and growth all at once. We had traction, but I lacked the structure to step into a true CEO role and build something that could grow without breaking. What surprised me most about the program, besides how practical and actionable it was, was the level of support and clarity I got from my advisor, Belinda. She didn’t just help me understand the Scalable OS framework; she helped me implement it in a way that made sense for the kind of business I run. Every conversation with her gave me clarity and confidence to take the next step. She understood the reality of running a small team and helped me tailor the tools so they weren’t overwhelming, but powerful. That’s a big deal when you’re trying to grow recurring revenue and deliver consistent service with a lean team.
