inkAid products have totally changed how I approach my printing over the past couple of years. I had been looking for something more hands-on, something more than pushing the print button on my printer after all the work of multiple exposure and compositing in the computer and time fine tuning my files. With Ink-Aid I have found it. I find it has really expanded my work into things I might never have tried. So glad I discovered your products.” William Lesch

Hi Jim, I want to take a moment and thank you for all of your support over the years. First of all your products are consistent and dependable – which is so very appreciated. I have been working with the InkAID precoats for many years. My grad and undergrad Photography students experimented and created work on so many surfaces and substrates that they would never have been able to image on otherwise. When they begin to work with InkAID Transfer Film and Transferiez the whole notion of how to construct images changed. Akin to working with layers in Photoshop, transfer film allows an artist to work with photographic elements on a variety of substrates and build an image utilizing all art making possibilities. So cool. Additionally, I love being able to transfer an image onto encaustic surfaces or make a base with transfers and then add encaustic paint and medium on top of that. So very many possibilities. Thank you for having such a cool company and for always responding so quickly to technical issues as well as your ongoing support to educators and InkAID’s workshop support. Many thanks and with great appreciation, Patti Russotti - Associate Professor in the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences, College of Imaging Arts & Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology.

I'm finishing up my MFA at East Carolina University and have used InkAid for every print in the exhibition. I owe you and the company a debt of gratitude. Without InkAid my prints would not have the color saturation, vibrancy and overall appearance that they do. Thank you to you and everyone at InkAid for such a marvelous and incredibly useful product. Respectfully, Pete Borsay https://red-rabbit-prints.com

My first experience was great

I tend to layer in my digital artwork and have been told that I have a painterly style. I came across an artist that was using inkAID to add the impression of brushstrokes to their printing. I decided to give it a try. I am so far very happy with the results. It was super easy to use to coat some handmade paper. My printer had no problem feeding the paper and the coating worked great. I even printed on some aluminum. I plan to try the clear version next. Jason

Very professional company.

Placed my order online. I had to change something, and I received a personal phone call to take care of my order. It was much faster than going back and forth via email. Thanks guys!

Coatings are awesome!

For more than 3 years, I have been using inkAID coatings for printing on materials that are not intended for printing, such as natural canvases and art watercolor papers. The result is always amazing, all my clients are satisfied. Thank you!

inkAID allows you to get the most out of your printer. Without inkAID ink is absorbed into whatever it is you are printing onto. With inkAID it gives the media a layer to which the printer can print on. And with so many different types of inkAID you will sure find what will work best for. A must have and absolutely necessary item for anyone who prints.

InkAID coating products are excellent

I have been personally using inkAID products for many years and selling them in my retail stores. Jim's products are just awesome! These products are super easy to use, and the results are always just amazing. I have used these products on canvasses, wood, watercolor and parchment papers, plastic sheets, thick polyurethane sheets, linen, aluminum, and metal. I also want to thank Jim Kedenburg a thousand times. Jim is just an awesome person and such a dedicated entrepreneur. He always went out of his way to call me back right away to help me with my 'crazy' printing projects. He even connected me with other European artists about my metal printing pieces. Jim, my many thanks to you and your excellent team; it's a pleasure to work with you. ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ Diane Chiasson

superb milling on these chem based products,

I've tested inkAID White Matte coating only, so far. However, it's a superior ground and far beyond what I've tried and failed to develop my own. Until these guys came out with this! It is all its cracked up to be, and more. Thanks, Kika Karadi (self-supporting painter since 2004.)

InkAid is my medium of choice

I have been using Ink Aid products for the past few years in my experiments with direct printing on copper and aluminum sheets, and I have been thrilled with the results, and so have my collectors. At this point, the majority of my work I am producing using InkAid, primarily White Matte Precoat. I love the painterly quality I can get, and purposely work with the coating before and after printing to accentuate the physicality of the pieces. Ink Aid has allowed me to transition to making objects with painterly and sculptural qualities to them rather than being limited to the "window on reality" quality of straight photographic prints on paper. I now make both, and more and more of my energy is going into experimenting with printing on various materials using InkAid products as my medium. I love the stuff.

Wonderful, high quality and consistent products

We have been using various products from InkAid for numerous years. The consistent high quality products they continue to provide have allowed us to stretch artistic boundaries and create some unorthodox pieces. We're a huge fan and absolutely love their receptive coatings, and tend to use it for almost all of our work, even if it's just for an accent. Thank you all so much; InkAid is truly a blessing and asset to many artists.

Phenomenal Products and Outstanding customer service

I've been hooked on InkAid transfer film and Transferiez ever since I took my first alternate image transfer class several years ago. The InkAid website is full of useful information and free tutorials which, in and of itself, is welcome. When I had a question about paper substrates, Jim actually called me to discuss the transfer process with Arches 88. He also tracked down a source for the "Stone Paper" I'd inquired about. That is clearly beyond customer service. Jim's personal commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction makes this company more than its consistently outstanding products. I have yet to experiment with substrates (other than paper) as well as pre-coats [The inkAID Inkjet Receptive Coatings] but I look forward to doing so and when I do, if I have any questions, I know Jim will be on hand to guide me!

Thank you so much for your help!

Hi JIm I wanted to thank you for spending the time to talk with me about my printer problems! A lot has happened since then. I have finally been able to print skins and have been printing images from the series that you sent me the email about - the orchids with the vintage tintype backgrounds. There’s one in particular I think the inkaid silver really gave it a great look. Like the kind of sheen from the real old tintype backgrounds. Soft and silvery metallic! All the skins that I’ve printed since we spoke are still on the polypropylene. I’m waiting to varnish them when the weather warms up as I have to do it outside since I work in my bedroom! And then if the weather isn’t perfect or if there’s wind I can easily ruin it at that point. The next technical problem I wish I could resolve! But anyway I’m enclosing photos of the piece I just mentioned to show you how the silver metallic inkaid really enhances the image! I'm so grateful to you for making these products! Thank you! Warm regards Marion

Great service

The first time I bought clear gloss from InkAid the carrier left the box with it in the house next to mine where nobody lives. It was winter and by the time I found it it was frozen. I called InkAid to find out if could still be used. I talked to Jim and he told me no. To my surprise he offered to send me a free bottle even though it was not their mistake. This made an incredible good impression on me as this is service I have not seen anywhere else and I've been in this world for a long time.

inkAID Image Transfers

I've been teaching an Introduction to Inkjet Image Transfer Workshop at LATITUDE for the last couple of years and it's been successful every time! iInkAid products are top-notch to say the least and we're definitely looking forward to exploring more of your product range to increase our potential workshop offerings and expand the capabilities of inkjet printing in our nonprofit digital printing facility. www.latitudechicago.org

Great product!

For years I have been using inkAID to print on unconventional surfaces - acrylic skins, fabrics, rice paper, and even aluminum foil. Whichever coating I use, I can be confident that my print will turn out as expected. Great product and excellent customer service!

Happy accident

I was recently using your product lnkaid white I was going to make acrylic skins and tried painting some acrylic medium on clearlay acetate I painted the acrylic medium let dry gave a coat of ink Aid on top dry then ran through my printer. Then I sprayed a coat of enamel clear on top. To my surprise you could not peel the image off of the acetate it bonded with it matter of fact it was so tough I tried scraping then I tried soaking it under water an image stayed on perfect, I know now to use a different type of plastic for making skins but if you wanted to make a sign that would withstand rain and Outdoors temporarily like art show signage this would work great I could not believe how tough it is. Thought this might be some useful information especially for people making signs that have to be in weather sometimes Thank you for the great product looking forward to trying the clear inkaid.

As a long time user of these products I am constantly amazed by their versatility, and ease of use. Printing on aluminum substrate and mixing layers of acrylic, I create unique pieces of art that I couldn't do any other way. Shipping is always fast and I have never had a problem with the quality. Incredibly Grateful

Using inkAid products has been the greatest gift! They have enabled me to expand my art from prints on paper, to one-of-a-kind unique and unusual pieces. Since working with inkAid products over the years, I have been continually inspired to invent new techniques that haven’t been done before. I’ve also appreciated the emails Jim regularly sends of artist’s work using the products which is always inspiring! Jim’s dedication and support for artists truly goes above and beyond customer service needs. As an example, I searched years for a special material that I was unable to find anywhere. Jim was so generous to spend time contacting suppliers, and to my amazement was able to find exactly what I wanted! My deepest gratitude to Jim and his amazing company!

I often use the transfer process in my paintings and love the technology of Ink aide transfer gel and transfer sheets. I can print and transfer immediately rather then wait overnight as many other processes dictate. It serves me well to have that spontaneity and freedom . I have had success on a variety of surfaces but if I do have a question, Jim at the company is able to solve any problem that may occur. In addition the website offer tutorials that are easy to follow . I love having this process available to me.

I have used inkAID coatings as part of my printing process for many years...with great sucess. I print on handmade cotton rag paper both hot and cold press with great outcomes. inkAID coatings give me the confidence to be able to guarantee the prints to the same extent as the more mainstream papers I also use. It is a great product. When it comes to service, your company is outstanding. I live in Australia and time has proven that I can order with complete confidence (even in the middle of a pandemic). I will continue to use your products into thr future because of the outcomes. I am about to use the inkAID Clear Gloss Type II coating to print onto metals and look forward to the results...a project hampered some what by lockdowns. Thank you again. Using inkAID transfer film and Transferiez I'm able to put my photo images on various metal substrates that can't be run through a printer. These materials expand the way I can express my art. The attached image is on distressed aluminum sheet.

So many options for creating digitally-based artwork!

I started using InkAid products to complete multiple photo transfers to wood with more predictable and saturated results than DIY methods. Soon I expanded to using the printer-based solutions on various substrates, and recently I started experimenting with acrylic skin transfers to plexiglass and other media. The samplers are a good place to start figuring out which coatings work best for your images and presentation styles--I've had several pleasant surprises using coatings I never would have expected would work for me. The video tutorials are very helpful, and I also love the e-mails sent weekly (or so) featuring work by artists who use InkAid products. I don't remember how I found out about InkAid coatings, but I'm very glad I did.
