Great practical tips, built incrementally in digestible videos. But it all leads to clearer and cleaner plots.

I quite liked that most of the lessons were short. I feel like the iterative approach you took to building the plots was a good fit considering how modular ggplot pipes are. I consider myself to have moderate ggplot proficiency but still learned a handful of new things (and felt the familiar content was concise enough so as not to be boring)

The course was super interesting and helpful and showed me how it really takes just a few steps to take a graph in R from good to great.

Dr. Rapp has put together a most impressive course on ggplot. Each lesson allows one to acquire skills that can't be found in textbooks, or in other YouTube videos.  Tiding a database,  using if_else functions,  mutate(),  calling upon databases within geoms  along with regular expressions is something one rarely finds being treated as a unit as this course does. This course also opened my eyes about the availability of fonts and how to use them effectively.  Replacing ggsave for "camcorder " is a valuable “gem” I plan to use in all my programs.  I have already  alerted my friends and colleagues about this course. On my part, I do plan to enroll in all courses Dr. Rapp offers.

I much appreciate the effort you spent in walking us thru the different steps in creating a meaningful chart. I also value your sharing with us your thinking process, and the different alternatives you considered in providing just the right amount of information. I also welcome your explanation of the different functions you employed. The expand grid vignette you added in lesson 12, greatly clarified for how you figure the correct amount of horizontal and vertical adjustment to the geom text associated to Median, Difference and 1 Penguin. However, it is not clear to me how you figure the correct x and xend coordinates for the geom segment.

The miscellaneous section opened my eyes to options I had no idea of their availability. These options ranged from camcorder, Cartesian’s expansion, to setting limits to the y and x axis. It is just incredible the amount of expertise this section has, and the ease it is communicated to those of us who want to better handle ggplot.

Thanks Albert. This is a great course for advancing my ggplot skills. I've learned a lot of useful tips and tricks that will make my code and visualizations better. Your approach is very clear and straightforward. The way you scaffold the lessons, building one lesson on another, makes it easy to learn.
