Having worked in the fitness industry for over 10 years in various roles including management, coaching, and now marketing for more than 100 gyms, I wanted to review this gym after attending regularly for almost a month. I understand that first impressions can be misleading, so a thorough assessment over time is essential. For context, I work remotely and usually visit the gym between 9 AM and 2 PM, avoiding the typical before/after work rush.
Regarding the staff, I frequently interact with two members: Austin and Caetie. Both are friendly and helpful without being overbearing or pushy. The trainers I observe are client-focused and free of ego. Unlike some trainers who seem to dominate space to assert control, these trainers are respectful and considerate. This respectful attitude extends to the gym members as well. If you’re in the mood for a chat, they’re happy to engage. If not, they are perceptive enough to respect your space. Personally, I appreciate the balance of occasional conversation without feeling bombarded by overly social interactions.
The facility itself is well-equipped, offering a variety of equipment to accommodate any type of workout. However, if you prioritize amenities like pickleball, swimming, basketball, or hot tubs, this might not be the gym for you. What sets this gym apart is the availability of numerous supplements that I’ve used and trusted for years. They offer samples, full containers, heated meals, on-the-go protein shakes, apparel, and more.
I reviewed the staff, members, and facility in that order because I believe leadership, including ownership and management, sets the tone. Effective leadership ensures happy, well-cared-for staff, which positively impacts the members. The facility itself is of lesser priority because, ultimately, you can make any equipment work if you’re dedicated. Gyms with poor leadership often prioritize equipment over staff and member well-being, leading to poor maintenance by both staff and members.
In conclusion, this gym is open 24/7 and is extremely affordable. In 2024, you get what you pay for, and this pricing model strikes a perfect balance. It attracts focused individuals with their priorities in check while avoiding disruptive behavior. I love this gym and highly recommend it.

I have not been back there in about a year in a half but I enjoyed it. Some of my favorite parts of that gym so far is they have STEEL PLATES and every machine I can think of. Pretty much, if you looking for a gym that will make you have enough strength to point when people are saying that you are "cornbread fed", then I would recommend Iron House.

This is the best gym I’ve been to. I lived in hermitage for six months and moved away and think of this place every day. I always seek out machine heavy/body building gyms and was so happy to land at this one. Building a gym with great equipment can be done by many, but building a gym with a great atmosphere is something that sets this gym apart from the rest. The people here will leave you alone if that’s what you’re into, but in a way that you know they would be so nice if you spoke to them. It’s a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The times I did speak to people or need help, the staff here take pride in the gym and are so helpful and genuine. Having a great variety and quantity of equipment is good, but lifting in a gym that feels good is next level. I’ve been to many gyms and the people here really set it apart from any others!

Seriously this was one of the best experiences I’ve had when traveling and visiting a gym. I was here for only 2 days and felt extremely comfortable, the equipment was amazing with a wide variety, the staff was super helpful and friendly, and if you wanted any supplements or to purchase anything it was super easy and straightforward and the staff was always more than happy to help. Want to shoutout Thera for a great experience 👏

10/10 gym. 2 recommendations, more stair masters, less ellipticals (never seen anyone use them), and preferably a modern stair master and not a dinosaur… atleast one that locks when not in use.. it starts to move as soon as you get on, and the stair is smaller than your foot is. Also, there is only one 90 degree fixed bench, and it does not have foot rests. Anyone trying to do some heavy tricep extensions, will keep sliding off. There are benches that adjust to a 90 degree, but sometimes you don’t want a full backed bench behind you. This is just me being picky about things that would make it the best gym ever.

I travel multiple times a year to Nashville for work and I always get my lifting in at Iron House. Super easy day pass process that is completed 100% over the phone. I love the gym layout and equipment offerings. The gym also has a wide selection of drinks and shirts for purchase.

Iron House Gym is truly exceptional, thanks in large part to the outstanding staff, particularly Thera, Jess, and Caetie. These three individuals go above and beyond to provide personalized attention and support to every client. With Thera, Jess, and Caetie by your side, you can be confident in achieving your fitness goals and always leaving the gym with a good laugh.
The gym offers top-notch equipment in a clean and spacious environment. Every bit of equipment in this gym has a purpose. It is also the only gym in Nashville with a reverse hyper.
The sense of community at Iron House Gym is also commendable, making every visit a positive and motivating experience. I highly recommend Iron House Gym to anyone seeking an excellent gym in Nashville with exceptional staff that makes you feel like family.
