Orkestra is my #1 reccomendation for both Dynamo Management and Dynamo Deployment rolled into one. The ability to push tools to a toolbar and manage packages from a cloud platform is shared by a few plugins, but the MetaData you can embed into those tools, the embedded wiki section recently added, and the improved speed set Orkestra a step above. Some of its greatest value comes in the Dev tools. Node snippets are something that once you use, you cant live without. I group and name my node snippets and save them to a library. I have a whole folder of UI nodes that lets me build Data Shapes UI in only a few minutes, as well as a whole folder of filter and list management node snippets I use a lot and never have to rebuild. The version history of graphs has really been handy on more than a few occasions. Perhaps most important to me, however, is the continued support and responsiveness of the Dev Team, both in response and in continued development of the tools. These great people are not only adding new tools, but are also continuously and dilligently identifying bugs and inificiencies in the UI and improving them. The recent release of OkPy has been really exciting, but also hasnt distracted the team at all from improveming and adding features to Orkestra. Overall, if you need a plugin to manage graphs on a cloud, I suggest this. If my company didnt pay for it, I would pay for it myself, as it saves me far more time in a month than it costs.

I create and manage Dynamo files for internal use at a Japanese general contractor. Orkestra is an essential part of my job, as I need to manage a large number of dyn files for each phase of design, estimation, construction, and facility-management. I especially like the "Analysis" and "Run inspector". The Analytics works with Power BI and helps us plan our dyn renewal schedule and consider increasing or decreasing accounts. The Run Inspector is essential for extracting the cause of errors in the dyn files.

Orkestra simplified sharing and maintaining graphs created by multiple users with an online repository easily accessible to our content creators. It greatly reduced the barrier to entry for non-Dynamo savvy users, allowing them to use of tools created in-house with Dynamo through the ease of a plugin within Revit. It also eliminated Third Party Node maintenance between different graphs and different content creators.

Orkestra helped a lot since the major obstacles like installation of packages and user friendliness of Dynamo were completely solved by Orkestra. All the users, despite the level of competence in Dynamo, may now use Orkestra without even knowing that there is any Dynamo behind. Which is definitely helping to gain productivity on modeling execution. Modeling in Revit got more productive because everyone now may benefit from Dynamo scripts created by smaller group of users (Dynamo developers).

Dynamo Deployment, both graph and package distribution, are seamless and painstakingly easy with Orkestra. No longer do I have to track down who has what version of “xyz” package(s) or if the cause of an errored workflow is due to missing packages or knowing if everyone has the most up to date workflow. No more! All of that is easily controlled with the management fighting super power of Orkestra! Did I mention package distribution for users building workflows is done just as easily as it is with users running workflows? With the recent advancements in 1.7.1, we can now deploy code snippets! This adds that extra bit of help and support for both our senior and novice Dynamo developers having access to boiler plate node logic readily available!

You can also track analytics and marry that with PowerBI to make justifying your need for Automation and Orkestra just that much easier. Track how many times a workflow has been ran, what projects have used that workflow, who ran the workflow, how long it took to run the workflow and even associate a time savings number to each time the graph has been ran. The story you tell is easier to convey with Orkestra analytics!

With Orkestra and its recent enhancements, we’re able to afford more time and resources to our Dynamo developers to help with our push to make Dyanmo a normal part of our everyday lives as architects and engineers.

Orkestra has significantly improved our workflow by addressing many of the technology challenges we have had in the past. Our team’s user adoption of automation has also risen due to the ease of access and reliability, and gone are the days of frustrating technology issues. Our biggest firmwide improvements are in reliability due to package controls in the cloud, tracking and minimizing errors/failures, and having documentation all in one place. I am certain we would not have our current efficiencies without the Orkestra Platform and integration into our current workflows.

Orkestra helps WB making Dynamo automation available to everyone globally to 1000+ people in 17 offices in different time zones. Having a centralized and easy-to-reach space where to share functional routines (meaning that they work straight away from the folder without having to open and run them) allowed us to increase usage of the routines we develop and avoid duplication of work.

Orkestra Online made it possible to roll out multiple Dynamo tools to multiple users because of its ability to manage packages. The added functionality of the ribbon made this user friendly for my whole department. Without Orkestra Online, my group would not have been able to share the tools we create. Dynamo tools have improved the efficiency of many of our Revit tasks and we would not be able to use them wide scale without Orkestra Online. The data analytics component is also recognized as a big win since it tracks how much time and money is saved on our projects by using Dynamo Tools.

I can't say enough great things about what you are doing with Orkestra. Such a wonderful tool.
Before Orkestra I had been looking for something to make toolbars in Revit for my Dynamo scripts. I have tried a few options, some were OK-ish and some were just bad. Orkesta is a GIANT step forward from everything I tried before!

Myself and our whole design team are very happy with Orkestra and how it functions. It is utilized everyday by different design groups from the start of projects through the end. Not sure how we functioned a few years ago without being able to seamlessly use the Dynamo scripts we have created across our design teams.

I have found it very convenient to not have any local packages on my machine, and just load up a template file that lives on Orkestra whenever I need to create a script. This ensures that the packages that our scripts are built with are the same that the user will be running them with through Orkestra. I think the biggest thing is whenever I open the analytics tab and see that a new person is using Orkestra. Most of the people currently using our scripts have never actually been inside dynamo and I doubt many of them would be using the scripts without Orkestra.

Orkestra brings the ability to roll out large, complicated scripts to multiple members with no issues over packages versions. Scripts which normally cause slow down in Revit after running, don’t have that issue when run via Orkestra. Saving snippets of nodes to quickly move code between different dynamo scripts. Especially useful when certain packages/nodes are not available in later versions of Dynamo, the original custom node can be opened, and the workings saved as a snip and placed in the new version of the script.
