I am a school principal. This job has a lot of stress that comes with it and I wanted to connect with a guide on Forte to process through some of that. I scrolled through the guide profiles and found one that seemed like it would be a good fit. It is! She listens thoughtfully and asks good questions to get me to think deeper or consider things from another angle. At my last meeting we talked about the power of gratitude - that God's commands to be thankful come with blessing! That has helped me to choose gratitude instead of anxiety or frustration during stressful times. Forte affects who I am outside of work, in that I don't feel such a need to dump some of these things on friends as I have already had a chance to process it.

I'm the director of admissions & communications. I reached out because it had been on my mind that some mental health help was something that I was in need of due to many things going on in my life right now. I've come to love our connections weekly! It will be a year in October that we have been talking and I am thrilled with my guide's help. Her Christian values always affirm what I know. Most times she gives me a wonderful scripture or more than one to confirm what I know, but may not have scripture for it.

I was so grateful to be able to connect with my guide this past week. There was an issue I had been going in circles about, and I just couldn't seem to find my way through it. I had talked with family members, my husband, and a friend. It was actually my friend who said, "You know, you should talk about this with your guide." It's such a gift to have a rich support system of personal relationships, people who walk with you and help you through challenges. But there's something to be said for working with someone who is trained in listening, guiding, and supporting.
