I have a web app running in Heroku, and that server occasionally needs to FTP files from another host. That host required requests to come from a whitelisted IP address. QuotaGuard provided a static IP address via a SOCKS5 proxy. Setting up the proxy and using it from my server was very straightforward.

We are using QUOTAGUARD with Heroku and MongDB so we can have dedicated IP addresses for connecting to MongoDB as Heroku uses dynamic shifting ones in their dynos. Quotaguard helped us stay within Heroku without the need of other tunneling/proxy services. The best thing about Quotaguard and the team is the fast support turnaround times and the fact that pretty much every hurdle is investigated as a team to help get setup.
