I am Simon Parkinson the MD at Dot Group For much of the past 2 to 3 years, I have set about a transformation of Dot Group, including modernising our offerings, their go to market and alignment with our corporate objectives. 


This drove out a huge amount of activities, that all had to be handled 'within the dayjob'. As a consequence, shifts in focus, lack of a clear vision and inadequate individual ownership led to missed deadlines and objective achievement. 


When I connected with Charlie, he immediately helped me describe and confirm a clear vision and roll it out to my team. And in then adopting the OKR framework I was able to take that vision and enact it with OKRs, KPIs and the associated Initiatives, while being able to keep track on progress and ensure focus was maintained and objectives met (mostly). 


Charlie's key aid for me beyond the OKR technical aspect, was his ability to understand my business really quickly and be able to use his career experience to help me build out the initiatives and then to add the momentum to get them kicked off. 6 months in we are on track!

What an accessible and surprising book. I’ve worked in sales for 25 years and run a global team. I’ve read numerous books on the topic but never found one that I would recommend to newbies in the business. “How To Sell Tech” is the book I’ve been looking for and will be part of our onboarding pack for all new starters. Its an easy read, motivating and set out beautifully in chapters than can be accessed in any order. Its full of ideas and plain speaking. The section on the difference between prospecting and just looking busy made me laugh out loud. Highly recommended to sales professionals at all levels but especially for junior ones trying to find their groove.
