My husband and I traveled to Colombia for 6 weeks in January. It was an amazing trip. I used Tomplanmytrip guide during my planning and while in Colombia as it has up to date information. It helped me a lot choosing between hotels or daytrips to the islands. We loved the colonial towns, the national parks, the off the beaten path places. But what we loved the most was the friendliness of the locals. I remember that old man who insisted on paying my ticket to visit the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, as I didn't have enough money on me and they didn't want to let me enter the place by paying the cheaper price for locals. Or the couple in Manizales with whom we exchanged just a few words and later the woman showed up to offer us a tour of the surrounding area in their car. And that kind man in Cali who wanted to pay for a taxi back to our hotel when we told him we would take the bus. I have plenty of stories like that to remember. I hope you visit Colombia and enjoy that country as much as we did.
