I was having chronic pain in my left shoulder for almost two years. Prior to this, I was weightlifting and exercising and not afraid to try new things. He is very structured with his programming and assessments, and I feel like I am able to have really well rounded training, whereas when I would do my own thing it was not nearly as effective. Right now we are working more on building muscle and full on training, whereas at the start my program was more about rehab and getting me back into lifting weights. Unlike with any physiotherapist or practitioner I have seen, my program with Kyle had me lifting weights from the very beginning. At first I was very nervous and hesitant, but Kyle's approach to training also involved not letting me believe that I was broken. Wow, Kyle is an excellent trainer. He's extremely knowledgeable about how the body works, breathing, movement compensations etc. I learned more from him in two months about how my own body works and things I needed to improve than I had learned from any previous doctor or physical therapist. I had been dealing with a neck and shoulder issue for almost 15 years. My neck muscles (particularly the scalene muscles and SCM) were extremely tense all the time. I had developed an incorrect breathing technique where I breathed into my stomach using my neck instead of using the whole ribcage and diaphragm. I could not breathe without sucking air in with my neck and making it work much harder than it should. I had done this for so long that my ribcage lost flexibility and my diaphragm was not functioning properly. As a result I had been experiencing shortness of breath, a weak speaking and singing voice, sleep apnea, posture issues, shoulder issues, etc. When I exercised, even when I was in great shape I would breathe 3 times faster than others around me. It was a really odd issue. The neck tightness caused my voice to wear out quickly, limiting my abilities at work and my social life. In the past, I had visited several doctors, a physical therapist, several ENT's, a couple voice therapists and tried every breathing exercise under the sun. We ruled out asthma, allergies, but I would fail breathing tests at doctor offices and they'd be unable to explain why. In fact, most breathing exercises that I tried in the past only made my neck swelling worse. I was totally stumped. As a last ditch effort I signed up for a couple months of training with Kyle. He was able to identify the core issues and give me exercises to learn to breathe and move better. Kyle adapted a workout plan designed specifically for my issues and adjusted it when needed instead of just giving me a stock program. After a couple weeks of training, I noticed I was improving. I learned to stop using my neck to breathe and have noticed my endurance has improved. My range-of-motion also improved (we checked it regularly to measure progress). My vocal endurance increased for the first time in years. I learned a lot of other things about myself as well; I learned that I have hip and shoulder motion limitations that compounded my breathing and neck issues. Kyle gave me exercises to work on those issues as well. Overall I was really impressed at his knowledge of how the body works and his ability to identify and address the root of problems I'd struggled with for years. I know what I need to continue working on in the future for even more improvement.
I am glad I went this route instead of trying another physical therapist and was quite surprised with the results. You'll learn a lot more than you expect. High recommend!
Working with Kyle was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The physical gains were what I came for (and I got them) but what I left with more importantly was the mental gains. I had felt stuck in a cycle of not feeling confident in the gym, afraid of injury or muscle tightness. In the past, I had visited several doctors, a physical therapist, several ENT's, a couple voice therapists and tried every breathing exercise under the sun. We ruled out asthma, allergies, but I would fail breathing tests at doctor offices and they'd be unable to explain why. In fact, most breathing exercises that I tried in the past only made my neck swelling worse. I was totally stumped. As a last ditch effort I signed up for a couple months of training with Kyle. He was able to identify the core issues and give me exercises to learn to breathe and move better. Kyle adapted a workout plan designed specifically for my issues and adjusted it when needed instead of just giving me a stock program. After a couple weeks of training, I noticed I was improving. I learned to stop using my neck to breathe and have noticed my endurance has improved. My range-of-motion also improved (we checked it regularly to measure progress). My vocal endurance increased for the first time in years. I learned a lot of other things about myself as well; I learned that I have hip and shoulder motion limitations that compounded my breathing and neck issues. Kyle gave me exercises to work on those issues as well. Overall I was really impressed at his knowledge of how the body works and his ability to identify and address the root of problems I'd struggled with for years. I know what I need to continue working on in the future for even more improvement.
I am glad I went this route instead of trying another physical therapist and was quite surprised with the results. You'll learn a lot more than you expect. High recommend!
Working with Kyle was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The physical gains were what I came for (and I got them) but what I left with more importantly was the mental gains. I had felt stuck in a cycle of not feeling confident in the gym, afraid of injury or muscle tightness. Kyle taught me that you can still do the things you love to do, without having to worry about gettin injured. Because of Kyle, I got my confidence back and learned how to just live life without getting in my own way!
I've been working with Kyle on and off for about 2 years now and I have to say not only did he help with my general aches and pains. He taught me ways to assess my own body mechanics and posture allowing me to make my own adjustments and corrections. Kyle is very personable and makes it easy to lay out your issues. I will continue to use him myself along with recommending him to my friends and athletes.

Great training all around. I showed up two months ago with back pain, knee pain, and an inflamed bunion. I am now in almost three months in and I feel great! All of my pain is slowly going away! I am also getting stronger . I’d recommend this to anyone!
