I attended a manager workshop/presentation with Yen here at Happy Money with our Verifications Department.
I found Yen to be not only informative and relatable but very insightful, thoughtful and extremely down to earth.
My most valuable take away was being reminded that being a manager is not the end all be all and there are so many other ways to contribute that align with who you are and how you work best or find your fulfillment in your work space.
I would absolutely recommend this to other companies and their teams. I feel that this would be genuinely helpful to team members as a way to think about their own personal roadmap.
I am a big fan of Yen and the work that they do with Kona. I saw them post on LinkedIn about an offering for a pro bono workshop and reached out right away. Yen and I collaborated to identify what would be a meaningful conversation to bring to my team. Yen was so open to creating something specific to my company and my team. It was customized and not a generic presentation given to everyone. Yen was so flexible and very timely with responses and revising the deck and content. I attended the Managing Burnout For Teams workshop for our company (Aircall). I enjoyed content in their presentation since it was more visual and less wordy than typical ones.
The most valuable key takeaway that I got was that setting boundaries and having self awareness is key to stopping the cycle of stress. Often I think that stress will go away on its own but stepping up and taking positive action during those recognized moments of stress is something I need to remember.
