Mrs Jennifer Jones

It has been a pleasure to have had Barry in my home for the past three years. I first knew him when he was here for a number of weeks during the pandemic. He was very quiet and didn't talk much at all! However, as time went on he began to chat easily to me and during the past year especially we have become real friends. He dis an extremely polite student who always thinks about others before himself. I shall miss him when he leaves Millfield School as he has just completed his A Levels there. During his stays here we have done many things such as going to various attractions in the area such as the Haynes Motor Museum, Go Ape in Bristol, the Concorde museum, Monkey World and the Army Tank Museum. He has also often played Badminton with his friends at the Westlands Sports Centre in Yeovil. Sometimes he has cooked lunch for us as he enjoys cookiing very much. Over the past three years he has gained in confidence and we have some very pleasant chats. I do hope that he keeps in contact with me as I want to know what happens in the future. My experience of hosting students has been an enjoyable one and I would recommend it to others as I get much satisfaction seeing them change over the years and how they develop.
