Grace P.
I first joined the Data in Motion community to network with other data professionals. All the coaches are amazing, invested in your future, and really want to help you succeed. I worked closely with Dahoon to kickstart the job search for my next data analytics role. He helped me transform my resume and I immediately started landing more interviews. His advice on how to approach the job search was targeted specifically to me - he understood my unique situation and where I wanted to take my data career. He coached me with common questions I can expect in interviews, how to communicate with recruiters, and more. Regardless of where you are in your data journey - a student, trying to land your first role, mid-career - the Data in Motion community is worth its weight in gold. Weekly challenges keep your skills fresh. And Kedeisha hosts workshops on topics directly applicable to what you’d do on the job. And not your basic SQL or Tableau course. But topics like data storytelling, critical thinking, regression analysis, and building dashboard wireframes. What I find especially valuable is the advice and discussions amongst the DIM members. Need some feedback on a dashboard you’re creating? DIM community will weigh in. Starting a new data job and looking to get more domain experience? DIM is there for you offering advice. Want to learn more about data modeling? DIM suggests several books and resources. Kedeisha and the community are there to root you on. I’ll be a member of the Data in Motion community for the long haul. I’m confident I’ll continue to see the benefits throughout my data career.
