I have been painting in oils and acrylics since 2018. I’ve watched countless videos about color mixing. From some of the top artists on YouTube and other channels. This is the best explanation on how to mix colors I have ever seen. Trevor’s process is very easy to understand, easy to learn and easy to follow. I will be using this method of color mixing from now on.

I’ve been painting for a couple years with no formal training, just online tutorials. I mixed colors on my own using what I thought was common sense (white makes darker, black makes lighter, ha) but this course has completely changed how I will approach my color mixing from now on. The course provides physical mixing techniques, logic for matching a specific color, and enough of the basics for color theory to make me instantly feel smarter! It’s also great with its graphics within the videos, which many online tutorials and classes struggle with. I highly recommend this!!!

Trevor Nielsen has created a very clear, surprisingly easy color course. Anyone should be able to mix any color after these lessons. I wish I had had this decades ago when I first began painting. He makes color make sense! No more mud.

This is a really good course. It is short and to the point. I have been painting all my life and this really helped me so without hesitation, I recommend this course. With just a few colors you can achieve all the colors that you need and save money in the process.

WELL DONE, Trevor! You took the mystery out of color theory. It's not complicated but if an instructor makes it complicated you lose interest and just wing it. Yep...pretty much what I've been doing. Trevor explained color theory so clear. He takes you step by step and keeps it simple. I watched the entire class all the way through and next I will do the exercises he provides. I know this will help improve my art and get rid of the muddy colors and guess work. If art is something you love to do, spend the $'s (so affordable) and take this class your art will thank you!

This course blew my mind! Paint mixing has always been soooo elusive to me. I always got muddy colors instead of the bright saturation that I wanted. I actually did the course 2 weeks ago, but I came back to write a review because I can't stop thinking about it! Seriously. I have been an off-and-on-again painter for years, and I always just mix and mix with no rhyme or reason until something looks ok. This class broke it down in such an obvious and easy formula. This should be required reading for any art class. My family is bored of me talking about it, because they can't imagine what an elightening I had! ------IT IS LEGIT------ Take the class you WON'T regret it!

I've studied a ton about color theory over the years. While predominantly a watercolor artist the information covered was outstanding and totally worth the money and time. This course really solidified my understanding. I also feel that I could have come into this with no knowledge and walked away with a solid base on how to mix any color. Now for the wish... It would have been nice if there was a 5 minute blurb on how to apply this to watercolor paints. I have to do some experimentation using this method still but this is my only feedback. Thank you for all the effort in putting together a great course! 5 stars!
