This course blew my mind! Paint mixing has always been soooo elusive to me. I always got muddy colors instead of the bright saturation that I wanted. I actually did the course 2 weeks ago, but I came back to write a review because I can't stop thinking about it! Seriously. I have been an off-and-on-again painter for years, and I always just mix and mix with no rhyme or reason until something looks ok. This class broke it down in such an obvious and easy formula. This should be required reading for any art class. My family is bored of me talking about it, because they can't imagine what an elightening I had! ------IT IS LEGIT------ Take the class you WON'T regret it!

I've studied a ton about color theory over the years. While predominantly a watercolor artist the information covered was outstanding and totally worth the money and time. This course really solidified my understanding. I also feel that I could have come into this with no knowledge and walked away with a solid base on how to mix any color. Now for the wish... It would have been nice if there was a 5 minute blurb on how to apply this to watercolor paints. I have to do some experimentation using this method still but this is my only feedback. Thank you for all the effort in putting together a great course! 5 stars!

OUTSTANDING!!!!! The course is so easy to understand. It is filling all the gaps an artist is missing when painting. I'v taken many classes from many professional artists and somehow the material I was presented was a times difficult to visualize. The instructions in this course are well worth the cost and time. in a simple yet concise manner I had an eye opening or awareness on why my paintings were just not what I was looking for. I'm going to apply the concepts in my multi-media binder on the majority of colors I use in my particular paintings. You have made color mixing very simple and an easy. I've taken several color theory courses (which were very informative but not very helpful) where the instructor would casually mix colors on the palette and talk (almost as if to themselves) while doing it. Then they'd quickly toss in a comment about what color they saw and make an adjustment, leaving me still wondering how they actually saw that color. Frustrating to say the least. But you made it so simple by taking us through the process in a very structured manner. Thank you very much. I can now put my knowledge of color theory together with color mixing to achieve beneficial results.

No one ever explained this to me after all this time, and I would often be frustrated at how ultra blue and lemon yellow wouldn't give me the vibrant green I desired. This was very simple and easy to understand. As a self taught artist, I didn't get the essential color classes that most trained artists get. So I'm sometimes lost when it comes to getting colors right. This course helped me target exactly where I go wrong. I found the information very valuable.

Several excellent opportunities to follow lesson with guided practice and the idea of getting paint samples to match for practice is genius. I've taken a few color mixing classes, and this is the first time things really clicked for me. The instructor's explanations are clear and easy to understand, and his visual teaching style perfectly captures the principles he explains. I especially appreciate the bite-sized lessons and comprehensive--yet simple--color mixing formula he presents. After taking this class I feel confident that I can mix any color I want to (with some trial and error!). This is the only color class you need to mix essentially any color from a split primary palette, plus white and burnt umber. It's an excellent value.

I absolutely LOVED this course! It totally demystified color mixing for me, and I feel so much more confident when I'm mixing colors now. I really appreciate how you simplified a really complex topic and make it accessible. I found every module useful because I learned something new in each one. It's amazing how many courses are out there that only touch on color mixing (or make it super complicated!) and yet it's so crucial. Thank you! I especially liked the color mixing demos. I practiced along with the green paint swatch, the blue paint swatch and the yellow post-it and was actually able to get the colors right. This was such a confidence booster. In fact, I liked these demos so much that I would have loved a couple more practice demos before taking "the training wheels" off and setting off on my own. This class was fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling with color mixing or who just wants a refresher. Thank you!

Trevor is a great teacher. I was an art student 55 years ago. I used to draw for medical magazines. I was never grounded in color theory. Mixing colors is not a black art, but it does require knowledge and practice. If you want to stop mixing muddy colors, this is the course for you. An hour very well spent!

The best study I’ve had on color mixing. Keeps it simple! Highly recommend. I’ve painted 40 years. Wish I’d had this lesson in the beginning. Would have saved much frustration!

I have taken many colour theory classes and I understand each of the concepts. BUT, I have not taken classes that have used them to create colours. I have taken several art classes, none of the instructors showed me this PERFECT way to mix paints. Often, they just mixed paints for me, not really helpful. So after the class, I would revert to purchasing more paints, expensive! I am so excited to start mixing my own colors! Thank you for this taking me on this journey!

Great basic course. I’ve been painting a long time and still struggle with color mixing, partly because different teachers show different methods. I like the simplicity of this one step at a time way to view color and plane to incorporate these iterations as I see I’ve been guessing too much, often ending up with a mix that is unusable. This is a required course or beginners but also very helpful to those who’ve been painting but still struggling.

Got a lot of ads for this and I love color mixing - it’s one of my favorite things about painting, so I decided to purchase. I haven’t yet done the mixing myself, but I have worked through all of the content and it is well organized, covers everything for brand new painters as well as more seasoned ones. Some things that I gathered were not brand new, but “clicked” in a different way in this course as far as how to approach matching a color systematically. I waffled on purchasing initially because I couldn’t find out more about Trevor and I already have dozens of art courses, but I ended up giving it a shot and I highly recommend! It really is short, and you really will learn something to make color mixing more effective and art more fun. One more note on price. It feels to me like this course focuses well on the things you need to learn and know and cuts out extra noise - think of how sometimes you learn more from a ten minute talk than a full lecture. That’s how I’d describe this. I’m sure there are longer classes you could try, but I’m not sure you’ll learn more. It really is all in here and then you can take what you learn and keep applying it to get better and better. My teens also enjoyed watching along and it was cheaper than taking all of us to a feature film. 😉

I’ve been painting off and on for years. I love acrylics, watercolor and pastel. However, my color mixing skills have suffered after a major health event that has dimmed my memory. This has been a wonderful refresher and now a permanent tool for me to remember how to get the mixes I want to achieve. Thank you so much my friend for putting this together. My confidence level is back up and the excitement of painting in acrylics has returned.

I have been painting for a short time and achieving hue was a bit of a mystery for me. I've understood color theory for years but through digital eyes. Achieving those same result in paint is a different process. This course made it clear and simple for understanding those painting foundations. No more guessing and no more muddy results. I, too jumped in and took the color course. I am a long time artist, however, the quick and easy video instructions were very good. I knew some of the information, but it gave me a new perspective view on it. Very helpful. If you are a beginner, this course is a great start on color mixing. I learned how to solve my color guess work and to focus on how to get the colors I want. I recommend this color course. It is short videos and lots of clear information.
