I am a self-employed accountant and the owner of a bookkeeping and accounting company. My career journey began a few years ago when I started freelancing as a bookkeeper. However, from my time working with CPAs, I realized that the way to truly grow and increase revenue is by offering advisory services to clients. When I decided to launch my business, I focused on taking finance courses to expand my skills. Unfortunately, many of the courses I found lacked practical, real-world examples of how to apply what they were teaching.
Most formal education tends to focus heavily on theory but fails to show how to implement those concepts in practice. Many courses teach the why behind finance, which is very important, but when they don’t teach the how, it can be difficult to determine the best way to approach the process. For example, when it comes to budgeting, most courses focus on the Income Statement and gloss over the importance of a Balance Sheet budget. However, for companies, it’s imperative to incorporate both aspects into the company budget, as money moves in more ways than just expenses. Companies need to understand their investing and financing activities and ensure they have a solid plan for these areas.
I started searching for a course that would provide hands-on examples of financial analysis and came across 365 Financial Analyst. I was immediately drawn to the fact that their program offered a pathway to becoming a certified financial analyst, so I decided to take advantage of the trial. After completing the first couple of courses, I loved the practical and clear learning style and quickly subscribed to the full program.
Right away, I began applying what I was learning to my work with clients. For example, I developed better budgets and more accurate forecasting models, which immediately improved the services I was able to provide. I appreciated that each course included practical exercises and models to work through, which helped me solidify the skills I was learning. This hands-on approach allowed me to directly translate the coursework into actionable strategies for my clients.

I now use these skills daily to help clients manage their cash flows, create budgets, and make informed financial decisions. I’ve become more confident in offering clients a higher level of service and positioning myself as more than just a bookkeeper. Within six months, they not only overcame their hurdles but also shifted their focus to growth and began planning for team expansion.
I plan to grow my business by expanding my client base and using what I’ve learned from 365 Financial Analyst to support that growth. I was on the verge of making a career transition, but something was holding me back. So, I went to YouTube and searched for videos related to accounting and finance. That’s when I stumbled upon one of Ned Krastev's videos. The way he explained concepts was so easy to understand. I thought to myself, there has got to be some website of 365 Financial Analyst. That’s when I clicked on the link given on YouTube. At first, I wasn’t sure how many courses I’d take, but I ended up taking 28 courses because I enjoyed every bit of my learning. I’ve also enjoyed courses by Antoniya Baltova. Because of these two finance gurus, I decided this is what I wanted to do careerwise, and now I’m studying for the CMA (US). I’ve taken over 200 online courses, but 365 Financial Analyst courses were unlike any of those. In my humble opinion, 365 Financial Analyst is a top-notch website that provides you with a certificate at the end of the course. I’m about to land my very first job in accounting in a week. That’s when I stumbled upon one of Ned Krastev's videos. The way he explained concepts was so easy to understand. I thought to myself, there has got to be some website of 365 Financial Analyst. That’s when I clicked on the link given on YouTube. At first, I wasn’t sure how many courses I’d take, but I ended up taking 28 courses because I enjoyed every bit of my learning. I’ve also enjoyed courses by Antoniya Baltova. Because of these two finance gurus, I decided this is what I wanted to do careerwise, and now I’m studying for the CMA (US). I’ve taken over 200 online courses, but 365 Financial Analyst courses were unlike any of those. In my humble opinion, 365 Financial Analyst is a top-notch website that provides you with a certificate at the end of the course. I’m about to land my very first job in accounting in a week. I did not expect this course to be as detailed as I found it to be. Before taking the course, I was not confident at all about going into a position such as FP&A. However, with the help of these detailed lessons, I am confident that I will do well within this sector of finance. I appreciate how each lesson are roughly 3-7 minutes long on average. Having to sit through 20 minute or longer lectures can be a bit daunting.
