This 12-week leadership course was an excellent experience. The instructor, Ian, was phenomenal and made each week engaging and hands-on. The homework was meaningful and reinforced the material in a practical way, and the class was never boring. Each session pushed us to step outside our comfort zones and apply what we were learning in real time. The material was outstanding and helped me build confidence while continuing to grow both personally and professionally. I walked away with tools I can immediately use in my role. What is the best thing about working with 5on4 Group? The best part of working with 5on4 Group is Ian. His humor, authenticity, and genuine care for helping others. You can truly feel how invested he is in the growth and success of the people in his classes. One of my favorite parts of the course was the “Hot Potatoes” week. I won’t give away any details, but it’s a concept that has stuck with me and influences how I approach challenges every day. I now focus on feedback that is: Specific and action-based Balanced, highlighting strengths and areas for growth Empowering, with clear suggestions for development I’ve also become more intentional about communication norms within my team, fostering a culture of trust, clarity, and continuous improvement. Week 9: Defining Non-Negotiables & Behavioral Interviewing Reflecting on past experiences helped me define my core professional values: Professionalism, Integrity, Confidentiality, Time Management, Growth Mindset, Collaboration, and Adaptability. I created behavioral interview questions aligned with these values using the STAR format. This approach ensures a more intentional and effective hiring process focused on long-term fit and accountability. The weekly cadence was ideal. It provided ample time to reflect, complete assignments, and engage in interviews without falling behind on work responsibilities.
