What inspired you to get involved with Angeles Investors? I was inspired to get involved with Angeles Investors because of their mission to close the funding gap for Hispanic and Latinx founders. As an entrepreneur myself, I know how critical early-stage support is, and I wanted to be part of a network that champions underrepresented voices with both capital and community. How has Angeles Investors supported you in your entrepreneurial journey? Angeles Investors has been an incredible partner, from making strategic introductions to providing thoughtful feedback during critical stages. Their network is not only powerful but deeply engaged, offering real, actionable support beyond just investment. Can you share a specific success story or achievement that you attribute to Angeles Investors? Through the Angeles Investors network, I’ve been able to connect with more investors, founders, and startups than ever before. These relationships have given me the perfect opportunity to elevate my own business, opening doors to strategic partnerships, fresh ideas, and potential funding conversations that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. It’s been a game-changer for my growth both personally and professionally. What would you say to someone considering getting involved with Angeles Investors? If you’re thinking about joining Angeles Investors, whether as a founder, investor, or partner, do it. The organization is driven by purpose and performance, and they show up for the community in meaningful ways. It’s one of the most valuable networks I’ve been a part of. In what ways have you seen Angeles Investors make a positive impact on the Hispanic and Latinx entrepreneurial community? Angeles Investors is creating pathways where there were previously barriers. They’re funding bold ideas, elevating Latinx founders into rooms where decisions are made, and proving that investing in diverse talent drives returns. Their impact is not just financial, it’s cultural and systemic.

Latino entrepreneurs are behind 36% of all new businesses launched in the U.S., yet Latino founders receive less than 2% of venture capital funding ‼️ That gap is exactly why communities like Angeles Investors matter so much. The Angeles Investors mission to “leverage the power of Latino growth to find, fund, and fuel the best ventures in America” really resonated. Last week, I attended to Q4 Angeles Investors event in NYC. Huge thank you to Daniel V. for the invitation 🙌 Being part of a roundtable on supply chain and AI was a highlight, with conversations around: 📌How digital twins and simulation can help pressure test major decisions before committing in the real world. 📌Why truly understanding master data and people matters, because supply chain is a long term game and businesses only work if the humans behind them stay and grow. There was a real sense of inspiration after meeting Ramses Alcaide, the CEO of Neurable and learning about this leading edge, Latino founded neurotech company that is building brain sensing headphones with huge potential for how we understand and support brain health. The vision and ambition behind it were hard to ignore. The event also offered a clearer view into how investors think and what they look for when deciding whether to fund a company, insights that are invaluable for anyone interested in building or supporting startups. Most of all, it was energizing to be in a room focused on backing Latino founders at a time when our population and economic power are growing so quickly. Feeling grateful, inspired, and excited to keep learning💡🚀 #AngelesInvestors #LatinoEntrepreneurs #VentureCapital #SupplyChain #AI #NYC

Last month I stepped into a room full of founders and investors, and walked out with a new perspective. Reflecting on a truly impactful experience — the Angeles Investors Q4 Summit. A sincere thank you to John Canela, Daniel V., Jeshua Cardenas, and Pablo Leyva for making it possible for me to attend. Being in a room with such high-caliber individuals as a college student eager to grow in technical sales and entrepreneurship was genuinely perspective-shifting. Hearing founders pitch and watching investors evaluate strategy gave me a much deeper understanding of what it takes to build and scale a business. Thank you to everyone who offered guidance and took the time to connect, your words left a lasting impact. I’m grateful for the conversations, lessons, and inspiration, and I’m excited to carry this momentum into the next chapter.

This past week, I had the opportunity to attend the Angeles Investors Q3 Summit in Chicago. Over two days, I was surrounded by conversations and stories that pushed me to reflect on how I want to approach the next stage of my journey. Meeting my mentor Marcelo De Santis in person was a highlight. Our conversation reminded me how important it is to keep learning. The moment you stop, your value starts to diminish, while curiosity and growth keep it alive. Carrying a mindset of being a lifelong learner is one of the most important things I can bring with me as I graduate in May 2026. I also left inspired by people like John Canela, whose determination and commitment to making his work visible showed me how much impact comes not only from effort but from ensuring that effort is recognized. What I took away most from the summit is that growth doesn’t come from comparison with others, but from communication, action, and the discipline of continually learning. Angeles created the perfect environment to absorb those lessons, and I’m grateful to have been part of it. #AngelesInvestors #LifelongLearning #ProfessionalGrowth #Leadership

I’m honored to have participated in the #AngelesInvestors Q3 Summit & Awards. This community's mission to find, fund, and grow the most promising Hispanic and Latino ventures is a profound calling, and my journey with them is just beginning. #DavidOlivencia, my high school friend, it was truly a privilege to reconnect. Seeing you as the CEO of #AngelesInvestors and hearing the powerful and meaningful impact you've had over the years is nothing short of inspirational. Your vision and leadership are not just transforming the lives of founders, but also the landscape of our community. Thank you for your support, your friendship, and for opening the door to this incredible network. The discussions were as inspiring as the connections. A special thank you to Laura Montoya and Maria S. Bocanegra; as a "Girl Dad," both of you shared inspirational messages on the power of education, tenacity, and being vocal was a welcomed and powerful takeaway. You are both true examples for young Latinas to emulate!! William Salvi and Christopher Salvi thank you for the awesome and open discussion.  Chris, it was a pleasure meeting you and for teaching me that it's okay not to have everything planned out. William, your passion and energy are infectious, and I'm a huge fan of your videos! Thank you for reminding me to just be myself. And to Fernando Rosario, your "Tap Dance" presentation was truly motivating, with honest feedback and nuggets of wisdom that I'll be taking with me. After listening to you speak I realized I wasn’t prepared to formally introduce myself; however, I am ready to read your book, Amplifiers: Scaling Influence Beyond Yourself, and I'll be prepared for the New York 2025 Q4 Summit & Awards. Inspired by the work of #AngelesInvestors and motivated by these incredible leaders, I'm excited to continue my journey and help drive transformation for businesses.  I encourage others in my network who believe in this mission to connect with #AngelesInvestors and explore how you can be a part of this vital work. #AngelesInvestors #Leadership #Gratitude #HispanicLeaders #Mentorship #Networking #TlalliAlliance

Latinos are not only incredible workers and active consumers, but we are also investors, owners, and wealth creators. Last week, I had the honor of speaking at Angeles Investors in Chicago, one of the most vibrant platforms connecting capital with Latino talent and innovation. The truth is, Latinos are still considered risk-averse when it comes to investing. But every time I meet the Angeles Investors community, I see the opposite: courage, ambition, and a clear determination to fund the future. If we want to change the narrative about Latinos in the U.S., we need to highlight not only our contributions in culture and workforce, but also in capital, where decisions and ownership truly shape the future. It was inspiring to witness how much momentum we are building. I am also working on a personal entrepreneurial project, many of you have heard about it. It's too soon to talk about details, but it's a very exciting initiative that I'll share later on. Thanks to all the team for having me. It was an amazing event. ✨ The best Angeles Q3 event yet was in August 2025 in Chicago. It will undoubtedly be bigger, better, and more inspiring every year. My Angeles Investors story started with a simple conversation. Five years ago, my long-time friend (and Angeles co-founder) Adela Cepeda invited me to join her new organization with David Olivencia. Our friendship spans more than three decades, back to when we were both Latina business owners carving new paths. I didn’t hesitate: “Yes, count me in.” Adela reminded me: “Caroline, you were in tech before tech was even a thing. You belong in Angeles.” She was right. In the early 90s, I was an Apple reseller to schools, training teachers to use technology before the word EdTech even existed before the internet changed everything. Fast-forward to today: I’m proud to see Angeles thrive as an extended familia. Its mission to find, fund, and fuel the most promising Latino-founded startups while creating wealth and opportunity in our community comes alive at every quarterly summit. I’ve invested in startups, connected with brilliant founders, and built lasting friendships with fellow investors who share the same spirit of paying it forward. Each summit leaves me energized, whether I’m exploring new ventures, strengthening education partnerships for Latino students, or growing the GANAS Tech initiative with our HSI university partners. 🚀 Powerful speakers with insightful messages including Maria S. Bocanegra, Fernando Rosario. 🤝 Grateful to connect and reconnect with many fellow investors who join the movement of paying it forward with my new nonprofit entrepreneurial journey, Digital Leaders Now: Lou Sandoval, Ruben Ocampo, Dr. Layla Suleiman González, Esq. Ruben Abarca, Roberto Curci, Demetrio D' Garcia. 🎓 Inspired by our university partners, including my alma mater, Dominican University, Illinois Institute of Technology, Roosevelt University, and more, we are working with them to prepare the next generation of Latino tech leaders. 🙏 Special thanks to our generous sponsors, César A. Lostaunau/ Morningstar and Carlos Abad/PNC, for making this Q3 summit a fantastic success. From reconnecting with old friends to meeting inspiring new leaders, Angeles has multiplied opportunities for me personally, professionally, and philanthropically. Recruiting new members comes naturally because I’ve lived the value. 💡 If you’re ready to invest in the future of tech and in the Latino community, Angeles is where you belong. Join us.

I am Fidelma Farinas Cobas. I am the head of multinational client strategy for PNC, and I am a member and investor in Angeles Investors. The best part about being an Angeles Investors member is the community by far. The money is important, I think we're supporting a lot of really wonderful businesses that are going to be very profitable and succeed, but it's the ability to talk to these businesses, to get these founders the right information, the right mentorship, and that's what's really making a difference to make sure that Latinos are represented very well across multiple industries. The Angeles Investor community is extremely important for Latino founders because it's the ability to find mentorship, it's the ability to find businesses that are going to push you and pull you into the spotlight and help you create a much better business than you thought possible.

Hi, I am Nannette Aguirre. I am a board member with Angeles Investors, and I am also a corporate and regulatory partner with the global full-service law firm Greenberg Traurig. The Angeles Investors community is important to the Latino community, to the diverse community, to a community of women, to a community of immigrants, and to a global community. Sometimes, it starts within a small community like the Latino community, which is filled with so many entrepreneurs. The Latino GDP speaks for itself. But those ideas become innovations and disruptors.

I'm David Mullings, Chair, CEO, and founder of Blue Mahoe Holdings. Our core company is Blue Mahoe Capital Inc., which is focused on investing in the Caribbean and building the Berkshire Hathaway of the Caribbean. Well, as we know, less than 2% of early-stage money goes to people who look like us and sound like us. So it's important that we participate in that. The only way to change that is for us to put our money where our mouth is. It means that we have more cultural relationships that we can share. It's easier to understand some of the markets that they're trying to target, whether markets as people or markets from a geographic standpoint. I think that's why Angeles Investors is very, very important. It solves a problem, and that's important.

The best part about being an Angeles Investors member is the community we're building across the country. The best part for me I think is being a part of the community, right? You know you have many diverse individuals here from diverse backgrounds and industries, and you can learn a lot from them. If you're interested, just jump in. You know, there's so much you can get out of this. So, if you're thinking about it, get in. You get to learn about first-class companies, you get to get into these first-class companies early, and you learn about funding. It's amazing. My name is Caroline Sanchez Crozier. I'm a founder and president of CSC Consulting Group based here in Chicago. The best part about being an Angeles member is that you get to network and connect with like-minded people who want to continue to grow in their business. So, in my case, I'm a less than 1% Latina and Tech entrepreneur, and with Angeles investors, I'm part of a network that equally wants to grow and support others who have been through their own journey like yours and to grow the representation and to see that there's more Investments, more growth opportunities, greater talent pool and ultimately not only grow as businesses but also grow our economy.

I highly recommend that you join Angeles Investors. You would be part of helping other businesses grow, and we all want to help fund, especially Latino-led businesses.

Hi! I'm Alex Ocampo, founder and CEO of Ganance. The best part about being an Angeles member is the opportunity to learn. As a Founder, I was really excited about the opportunity to get experience on the other side, to participate in conversations, see pitches, and learn what investors think about and consider when considering startups. I recommend joining Angeles Investors because you grow your network, you learn more about building wealth and making investments, and they host great events. I will say it's never too early to get started. There are many different options for getting involved with Angeles, whether you're interested in making investments, learning about making investments, or growing your wealth. If you are interested, don't hesitate to join Angeles.

Joining Angeles has been one of the best decisions I made. Not only does it allow me to support the best Latino entrepreneurs, but but the overall quality of the deal flow has been outstanding, ranging from pre-seed to series A+ across different sectors. My experience with Angeles Investors has been nothing short of complimentary. As a finance professional and former investment banker, I've always been deeply passionate about empowering Latinos to achieve financial well-being. Joining Angeles Investors has been wonderful because I truly feel my mission aligns with a community-driven purpose. I became involved with Angeles Investors to join fellow Hispanic investors and entrepreneurs because I understood that Angeles Investors prioritizes diversity and inclusion, actively seeking out promising Hispanic and Latino ventures to support. This focus has not only deepened my connections within the investment community but has also allowed me to witness firsthand the immense potential within our community. One of the most rewarding aspects of my journey with Angeles Investors has been the opportunity to share my knowledge and expertise with other Hispanic investors and entrepreneurs. Through mentorship and collaboration, I've seen remarkable personal and professional growth. It's incredibly fulfilling to know that my skills as a former investment banker make a tangible difference in the lives of aspiring Latino entrepreneurs. Angeles Investors' mission resonates with me on a profound level. While I was previously involved with another Angel Investor group, I found it lacked the inclusivity and commitment to supporting Hispanic ventures that Angeles Investors embodies. Now, being part of a community that shares my values and aspirations, I feel more motivated than ever to contribute to the success of Latino entrepreneurs and investors. In addition to my involvement with Angeles Investors, I've co-authored two books on financial well-being and also have published a third one in Spanish to empower Latinos with the knowledge and tools they need to thrive financially. Angeles Investors provides an invaluable venue for me to support entrepreneurs with my expertise further, fostering an environment where Hispanic ventures can flourish. My journey with Angeles Investors has catalyzed growth, connection, and purpose. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of a community that shares my vision for a more inclusive and prosperous future for Latino entrepreneurs. Together, we are not only investing in promising ventures but also empowering an entire community to achieve financial success. Ramiro J. Atristaín-Carrión linkedin.com/in/ramiro-atristain

How has Angeles Investors supported you in your entrepreneurial journey? Angeles Investors has been an incredible partner, from making strategic introductions to providing thoughtful feedback during critical stages. Their network is not only powerful but deeply engaged, offering real, actionable support beyond just investment.

Fidelma Farinas Cobas

David Mullings

Latinos have an opportunity to do what other groups have done before us: unite a community of like-minded investors in ideas and startups and in companies that will hopefully make an impact on the economy.

My name is Mikal Haddad. I'm a certified private wealth advisor, managing director, and partner at Oxford Harriman & Company, which is a private wealth management firm. I've been a member for a while, and it's a great community with great people.

Hi! My name is Marta Cerda. I'm the Chief Executive Officer of ASI. I am an associate member of Angeles Investors and the best part about it is today I got educated about the economy. I was inspired by these new startup companies, and I am motivated to be more innovative in the work that I do. I also want to do even more for Angeles Investors.

How do you #learn about investing in #earlystage companies? It's simple-you have to take the leap and cut your first check. Just like learning to ride a bike, you don't master cycling by reading a manual, you start with training wheels, in the safety of your backyard, with someone guiding you. Angel investing is no different. For me, joining Angeles Investors has been that journey by doing, surrounded by #trusted, #experienced people who understand both the risks and opportunities. It's a community where you grow your knowledge, make smarter investment decisions, and support innovation. Ready to learn? Get on the saddle!

Joining Angeles has been one of the best decisions I made. Not only does it allow me to support the best Latino entrepreneurs, but but the overall quality of the deal flow has been outstanding, ranging from pre-seed to series A+ across different sectors. In addition, the investor and partner community is second to none, allowing members to learn, network, and get access to unique opportunities and experiences. It's still early days for Angeles, but I'm thrilled for what's to come!

Sending a warm thank you to Angeles Investors and founders Adela Cepeda and David Olivencia for hosting warm and welcoming events around the country at which we can expand our networks and invest in start-ups with Latino founders or board members while also learning and growing together. I had the pleasure of spending time in San Francisco with the founder of an AI company I invested in earlier this year. He came to the meeting post-investment to meet the people of Angeles Investors because we invest in the dreams of underrepresented founders. ❤️
