I’ve been writing as long as I can remember, and this platform has helped me make the largest strides in improving my writing. As a bonus, the courses they sell are top notch as well.
I've been a lifetime member for two years now. Well worth the investment. The instructional materials are great, and the support within the community is terrific. The instructors are fun and informative.
My novel that I thought was complete before I started this course, has gone back into the revision cycle.
Between the Horror course, and Horror Club, I feel like I've significantly leveled up my writing.
The final novel will be better for it!
I learned more than I thought possible from the course. The exercises, cheat sheets, and prompts for stories were such a wealth of information for a new writer. Thank you so much!
Daniel is AMAZING. Honestly, this course was shorter than most I've taken, but between the lessons and the Q&A's, I feel like I learned more in that time than taking 8-12 week courses.
Gareth isn't just a teacher, but is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about horror in narrative writing and filmmaking!
His availability to answer questions and give his perspective was invaluable. I was able to implement his advice and improve my writing nearly instantly.
Clear yet in depth content. I liked the focus on mystery writing and the pace of the course.
Daniel is obviously well versed in the craft of writing; the structure of various Genre's, the pitfalls and how to avoid them, and the mechanics and formatting that will make for an enjoyable journey for a reader.
He is also engaging, quite funny and is adept at keeping a course moving while still making sure to answer participants questions.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the courses I've taken as well as the video presentations I've watched on both AutoCrit and YouTube.
He made the decision to become a Pro Member both an easy and obvious one.
I will certainly be taking more courses in the future as I grow as a writer and use the AutoCrit software to finish my Mystery Novel (hopefully a series), and as I develop the plot for a Young Adult novel/series I am working on. Thanks so much Daniel!
More classes like this would be great. I've been 'around' AutoCrit for a while, getting news letters, emails, video presentations, etc. and have enjoyed them immensely.
This is my first class and I look forward to taking more, starting with 'Mystery Mind'.
Your instructor/facilitator, Daniel, was excellent.
Very knowledgeable, informative, thoroughly enjoyable.
A very fun presentation! I'll be back for more. Thank you.
There were SO MANY great and new things that I learned here, I think making the workshop a smidge longer could do it justice. It was still amazing though, literally the best I've attended in YEARS. Thank you!!
Definitely recommend any of their classes. I've taken two and loved them.
The first couple of workshops and simple "tip packages" blew my mind. The Full Throttle - Auto Crit went above and beyond with the material they put together.
The only problem I have is my own–I have trouble keeping up.
However, since I'll always have access to these materials as a Pro member, there's no reason to have cow.
This being my first novel, the tricks they offered, like how to write a great opening, for example, were something I sorely needed. It taught me to write like a writer but think like the reader. What better way to connect, if connect we must (Yes, we must)?
Take as many Academy courses as possible, peeps, they are priceworthy, they are jam-packed with useful information, and they'll move you along much farther along your writing journey as you would have been without them.

I took the Penning Passion course and loved it.I learned new aspects of my genre and easily incorporated the ideas to increase passion into my work in progress.
A simple 10 day free Romance course via email was exceptional.
