Automation Ladies I listen to your podcast to broaden my industry knowledge from the guests and hostesses. It's an absolute pleasure to see a podcast for automation professionals who share their knowledge, passions, and stories within industrial automation.
I follow Automation Ladies because I firmly support the platform and love that it is driven by ambitious female automation rockstars that are blazing a path of positivity within automation that will be felt for a long time to come.

I enjoy the Automation ladies show because it is focused more of the human side of manufacturing than any other show out there.
With maybe only 1 or 2 exceptions I feel like you aren’t focused on the technology behind things and are talking more about people’s stories, their viewpoints on the world, and what they love about manufacturing.
You’re not pulling in any WWE style drama, spewing hate and rage at folks who don’t agree with you. You’re not pushing folks down a particular technology pathway, and overall, and most important to me it feels like it isn’t about your ego, it is that you are genuinely interested in learning about people and what makes them tick.
Most of the shows in our space involve a lot of ego stroking and are very focused on technology specific things with the guest’s story being covered only to lay the foundation for how they solve whatever problems they are facing now. I feel like Automation Ladies could even become a different format where maybe Nikki and Ali are like the Ira Glass host role with other people doing the stories like a manufacturing “This American Life”.
I think this keeps the show really interesting over time. Old episodes are still relevant today.

I'm not the best at tuning into the podcast - but this applies to every podcast.
Why do I like Automation Ladies?
- First off you are one voice of the controls and automation conversation. I try to follow as many voices in this space as I can b/c it is the space I work in and I don't have a lot in-person relationships/mentors in this field.
- You also provide unique perspective in focusing on women in manufacturing that ALL of us in manufacturing should be listening to.
>>>> Also, I believe you are both for outside the US, originally. And Alicia has hired mostly women and minorities with Process & Controls Engineering, LLC. I am a (younger) middle aged white guy and I believe that US manufacturing needs to be more accommodating to women and minorities. Aside for manufacturing needing to be more inclusive, women and minorities need to see themselves represented in manufacturing, then they are more likely to see this path as a viable option for them. None of this (representation) would matter if you weren't finding success as a voice in automation and controls first and foremost.
