Recently, my husband and I had the privilege of working with Amy, an exceptional Doula (who I found through Boober), and I am thrilled to share my testimonial about my outstanding experience with her. Amy is one of the most caring people I have ever met. She was patient, understanding, and compassionate during my pregnancy, childbirth, and early child-rearing. From the beginning, I noticed how knowledgeable and empathetic she is. We were particularly fearful of a cesarean birth. Amy responded by walking us through all of the medical interventions that might lead to a cesarean birth being more likely. She tailored her support to us from the very beginning. She visited several times during my pregnancy to ensure we adjusted to the changes we were going through, answering all of our questions with evidence-based advice. On the day of my baby girl's birth, Amy arrived soon after we did and stayed with us the entire time. Her calm and reassuring presence put me at ease as she provided physical and emotional support and coached my husband on how best to care for me. I was surprised by how present she was despite how late into the night it was. She endured each hour with me, giving me massages and counter-pressure exercises to cope with the pain. I planned for an unmedicated birth, but at dawn, after hours of pain, I decided to go with an epidural, and Amy supported my decision. If it wasn't for Amy, I couldn't have been without an epidural for as many hours as I did. Postpartum, Amy visited us regularly, offering emotional support, breastfeeding assistance, and practical guidance for caring for our newborn. Her genuine care and dedication extended far beyond the birth. I don't have enough words to express how happy my husband and I are that we met her. I can confidently say that Amy not only greatly enhanced my birth experience with her presence but that without her, my chances for a C-Section would have increased dramatically, as well as the overall pain, stress, and anxiety. I would wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone seeking an extraordinary doula. If I have a second baby, I will want to have Amy by my side again.

gotta be an earnest mom real quick - breastfeeding is hard. No one warned me my breasts would quadruple in size, turn into painful rocks and send me into a total meltdown days after giving birth. Thank god nev remembered someone had reached out to offer help in this arena which, weeks ago, we sort of brushed off... now i know we were very naive. I couldn't be more grateful to Jada Shapiro @birthdaypresence for coming over and teaching us how to deal these first few days and putting us on a path to success. I want to encourage new moms to get help BEFORE they need it and avoid the hopeless, uncontrollable crying you can still detect on my face in this picture. They are extremely responsive to requests and will communicate over phone and/or text to make sure they understand your needs and nuances to best match you with a provider. My process was professional and prompt with great options to select from. I’d definitely recommend the service.

When you need a lactation consultant you need them immediately. I wish boober been around when my first was born. With him I had to call 10 lactation consultants before finding someone who was available. This was so much easier.

Definitely recommend this service to any mother experiencing challenges with breastfeeding. I tried to navigate through mine on my own which is no way to go through it. I reached out to Boober when I was nearing burnout and giving up. They sent Grace over to help and we couldn’t have found a better match. She uses a holistic approach and combines her extensive knowledge of breastfeeding (which is out of this world) with compassion and great communication. She is totally non-judge mental and collaborative throughout the entire session and treatment planning. She helped me feel empowered and proud of the mother I am regardless of what my breastfeeding journey ended up looking like. Couldn’t recommend her and Boober more.

1) They are quick to find someone in your area 2) The LCs are knowledgeable 3) Boober is willing to work with you if you're not satisfied with the initial service that you're given 4) I saw 2 LCs on 2 separate occasions and they were both polite and warm. My daughter is on the older side (3+ months) and it has been quite challenging getter her to nurse. I was given several recommendations for next steps. I would recommend their service for a younger baby.

Because we have a very specific pregnancy (momo twins that will be delivered via caesarean no later than 34 weeks so likely NICU care for a couple weeks or longer), we felt that a private class was the way to go. We are glad we did it! We were able to cater the course to our specific needs which included caesarean prep, some lactation, and newborn care of twins. Jada was wonderful and is a great resource! She answered all of our questions. Our two hour session was packed with helpful information! We thoroughly enjoyed it and, being first time parents, we feel more confident about the arrival of our twin girls in the next couple months.

My husband and I were hesitant about taking any "birthing course" and could not have enjoyed this experience more Sasha. It was three hours long - traditionally a long time to focus for me! - but went by so fast. Everything she offered to our group was top level, important and clearly stated. I could not recommend Jada and Boober more!  The idea of on demand lactation consultants who come to you is not only genius, but so necessary in a culture that is grossly uneducated in breastfeeding and so much misinformation out there. So many initial concerns, troubles and general fears are eliminated by having a professional show you the ropes and ensure that you are set up for success.  Just a few days after giving birth, I was having trouble with achieving a proper latch. I texted Jada and she was at my apartment within an hour of my text and was so reassuring, knowledgeable and wonderful at making me feel confident in my approach suggesting various positions and ultimately helping to ensure long-term success.  9 months later, I am still successfully breastfeeding and with the tools Jada empowered me with, have been able to provide so many friends and family with Boober's information to start the process with confidence and ease.  This is a MUST for new moms! I would give them a hundred stars if I could!

She came to my apartment and we set a plan to increase my milk supply, which has been improving ever since. She's also a genuine, knowledgeable and caring consultant - she has been an invaluable resource when I have questions and even follows up with me to make sure I'm doing ok.I highly recommend both Boober and Shoshanna!!!

I took the Newborn Care Zoom class and it was just OK...my husband actually fell asleep within the first 15 minutes.  Maybe this class would be better in person, but for $45 they showed at least 3 youtube videos that you can watch for free online.  Pretty much everything else that was covered I have already read about in books or on the internet.  I'm sure that there are useful classes that are offered, but this was my first one and it kind of left a bad impression on me.  For those looking to save some time and money, I suggest checking out free online resources over this (there are plenty).

I was practically in tears after being discharged from the hospital.  I had worked with the hospital Lactation consultants but hadn't found them very helpful.  I was in pain, I felt like my milk hasn't come in yet. I knew my baby was hungry, but I was dreading every feed. Even though on my third child, and having had the help of lactation consultants in the hospitals, I still had latching issues and oversupply problems. The other consultants were clinical in resolution, whereas Jada and Eden used a personalized approach. They listened to my concerns, asked me questions, checked baby's anatomy, and made a specific strategy to get supply regulated and baby doing a successful, deep latch. Positioning tips were so well explained and immediately helpful; I finally had the confidence I needed to continue nursing. I had almost given up this time. It is also important to mention the background of these women - it is clear they are well traveled and expertly educated in their field. They are also contributing to the community by developing breast feeding programs to help under privileged families. The dedication they have to their work and their communities speaks worlds about the attention and care they will provide you as a client. I highly recommend them for any lactation/nursing issue!

Within minutes I received a response and within a few hours I was put in touch with Stephanie Heintzler, a IBCLC. I had no formula, wanted to avoid supplementing if I could, and just needed help. Boober was there within the hour and worked with me for a few hours on the problem. Eden was a godsend!! and booking through Boober was a breeze! Would definitely recommend this service to all new moms. I'm a FTM and when I got home with my little one after 2 days in the hospital, my nipples were already cracked and bleeding. Every feeding was a nightmare. The hospital nurses did their best to help me with latching, but I was still having serious issues and pain. After 2 hours with Eden, my nursing became 100% pain free. I healed quickly and now nursing is the lovely, comfortable bonding experience it ought to be.

I cannot say enough positive things about Jada and her team! I had little support from the lactation consultant at the hospital but assumed it wouldn't be too difficult. Boy was I wrong! As soon as my milk came in I suffered almost immediately from engorgement and my son couldn't latch on. I called the hospital and spoke to a different lactation consultant who offered me poor advice. I reached out to Jada having taken a great infant care and breastfeeding class with Birth Day Presence, and before I knew it, the wonderful Kesha was at my door to bring some relief. She had my son latching on within the hour and armed me with tips and tricks to keep my oversupply at bay. I can't thank them enough!

We received some lactation support in hospital but the visits lasted only 15 minutes or so. After a sleepless first night at home and sore, painful nipples, I texted Boober. I received a text back almost immediately saying someone would call within an hour. We talked about my issues and concerns and she did all the legwork to find a lactation consultant in my area that was available quickly (Julie Rosen). I texted Julie and she called me to chat about my problems and arrange a time to meet. Julie came over that same night, at 11:30pm and stayed until past 2am. She weighed my son before and after a feeding so we could confirm he was getting milk. She reviewed nursing positions and helped me perfect the latch. She showed me breast massage techniques to relieve swelling and enforcement and went over how to use my breast pump. My son ate well that night and slept soundly between feedings. Julie has provided additional support via text/phone in the days that followed. She also provides an insurance coded receipt on the spot so I could submit a claim for reimbursement. Boober was so easy. I made one phone call and they did the work of finding someone nearby who was available quickly. The last thing you want to do when sore from childbirth and sleep deprived with a crying newborn is to make a bunch of phone calls to track down help. Boober did it all for me. So grateful!

Kesha King is a miracle worker and a great conversationalist. Her years of experience showed and I saw improvement in my baby girls ability to latch within the first 5-10 mins of us trying. Her techniques were great such as using a few sips of bottled milk as a reward after my daughter attempted for a few mins to latch so she wouldn’t get frustrated. When I husband and I applied her techniques alone we saw much improvement still in the breast feeding. Will definitely recommend and would love her doula services for our next child.

I could not have asked for a more kind, compassionate, capable, and supportive doula than Shamika Matos. Throughout the months leading up to birth, through a difficult labor and delivery, and postpartum, she has been there for me every step of the way, answering even the smallest questions with care and without judgement. She advised me when I was unsure whether my water broke, then quickly made a plan to meet me at the hospital, where I was induced. I could not have imagined going through my stressful 30+-hour labor and delivery - in which I had to move into a variety of positions for hours in order to reposition the baby - without her. The whole time she was calm, professional, and confident, restoring a sense of control and peace to my partner and me. She worked seamlessly with the rest of my birthing team at the hospital and stayed after my delivery to make sure we were off to a good start. She visited at two weeks postpartum to check up on the baby's development and offered much needed support when I had difficulty breastfeeding. Now that I am 2 months postpartum she still checks in on how we're doing. Shamika feels like family; on the whole, I can’t recommend her more highly enough for moms-to-be in the New York area!

Shamika was amazing! She made my birth experience feel like one where I was empowered and supported. If anyone is questioning whether they should get a doula I encourage you to book with Shamika. Having her as a support person made all the difference and I was able to trust myself and my partner in the midst of rising fears due to her wisdom and reassurance. I was able to have a low-intervention birth because of having a doula like Shamika as well as a supportive partner.

Kelsea was a phenomenal doula. This was my second birth but it was the first birth experience for my doula. Boober training and Kelsea’s personality are an exceptional combination. Kelsea was extremely thorough with my birth plan, answered my questions and helped me ask my doctor questions I never thought of. I had to face a lot of daunting decisions such as whether or not to be induced with pitocin. Nothing was going as planned yet she helped keep my spirits up and wouldn’t allow me or my husband to sink into despair. Kelsea was the perfect asset to my birth team and allowed my husband to take breaks and relieve stress. She was with me for 48 hours of labor and helped support me postpartum when my baby was whisked away to the special care nursery. Our postpartum visit was very pleasant as well and she gave a delicious home cooked meal. Kelsea is an amazing birth doula that we all need during a life experience as unprecedented as labor.

I felt prepared for birth even though in the end I had a very quick labour and delivery. Postpartum they were also incredible support for questions I had on breastfeeding, gassiness in babies, napping..etc. Would 100% recommended them!

Danice was so helpful in helping me breastfeed! I was having such a hard time getting our daughter to latch since birth and almost gave up. I was exclusively pumping for 3 weeks before reaching out to try breastfeeding again with professional help this time! Eden was a godsend!! and booking through Boober was a breeze! Would definitely recommend this service to all new moms. I'm a FTM and when I got home with my little one after 2 days in the hospital, my nipples were already cracked and bleeding. Every feeding was a nightmare. The hospital nurses did their best to help me with latching, but I was still having serious issues and pain. After 2 hours with Eden, my nursing became 100% pain free. I healed quickly and now nursing is the lovely, comfortable bonding experience it ought to be.

Being a parent is such a learning curve, but it is amazing and rewarding. Her calm energy, generous spirit, and wealth of knowledge helped me through the entire course of prenatal, in-labor, and postpartum experience. During a very difficult, painful unmedicated labor, she helped me refocus my energy and breathing, calm me down so the sensations would not overtake me. She educated us before the birth, stayed by my/our sides through 30+ hours of labor, and patiently cared for us postpartum as well. I would not hesitate to recommend and/or rehire a Hannah. She’s a gift to all.

Kimberleigh was awesome! I was skeptical of participating in a virtual visit, but it was well worth it. I suffer from pain and neuropathy from  breast reduction surgery for over 14 years. Breastfeeding and pumping was very painful and difficult for me. Kimberleigh listened to me. She was compassionate and knowledgeable. Together we developed a care plan that took my needs and the needs of my brand new baby into consideration. This experience was much needed and well worth it.

I am so glad I found Boober! The lactation consultant (who also happened to be a pediatrician) they recommended to me was fantastic. I went into the call feeling very unsure of what I was doing and frankly, skeptical that I could be taught the tricks of breast feeding via a video call. I left the call feeling confident and thoroughly prepared to breast feed like a pro. Wish I lived closer to her as I would want her as my baby’s pediatrician!

I submitted a request, then in minutes had a text and a phone call to start arranging my session that would start the next afternoon. It was such a relief to have such a expert come over for some 1:1 time. I had a really tough experience with the lactation specialist at the hospital and combined with a baby a that was losing weight, and the transition home was enough to break me. Emma was a god send! She was so warm, calm, kind, patient, and SO knowledgeable!! She was the first person who asked me what my goals of feeding were, offered NO judgement and was open to helping me achieve a feeding routine that worked for me and my baby. I can’t say enough amazing things about this service other than they really saved me when I was struggling emotionally over feeding.

Amazing service. I got connected to an awesome LC (Cori Pleune). I was just recovering from mastitis 4 weeks post partum and she showed up to my door right away ❤️. She was so knowledgeable, kind and compassionate it made feel ready to tackle breastfeeding long-term (I was ready to give up). Her consultation is both data Driven and emotionally supportive. We got to see with data how much my baby was consuming, evaluate our latch as well as the emotional symptoms I had. She gave tons of amazing tips that were game changing for me (like using Hakka to manage my oversupply and avoid another case of mastitis, different positions to BF for better connection and flow w baby). She left me highly empowered and since then it has been an AMAZING! Breastfeeding journey.

Boober was a huge help for our family as we dealt with latch issues after bringing our son home from the hospital. I got a call back from a woman almost immediately after contacting them who was able to connect us to a lactation consultant that fit our budget and schedule. She was also a lactation consultant herself and was able to answer some of my basic questions in the interim before our scheduled LC visit. The woman who came to our house was professional, thorough and very responsive to our follow up questions. I'd highly recommend Boober to any mother dealing with breastfeeding issues.

Grace is amazing!! She called me back after our newborn had been diagnosed as very underweight and needing formula by the pediatrician (with awful bedside manner). I was scared and disappointed and Grace had the perfect demeanor and reassuranced me which put me immediately at ease. At the visit the next day it turned out they had mis weighed him... so I didn’t end up needing a LC as of now, but gosh am I grateful for the brief phone call we had and if/when I do, I know right where to go! (Also PSA, If your newborn baby is making dirty diapers and otherwise healthy, pediatricians do make mistakes, so keep calm and trust your instincts)

Because things were so hectic she wrote up a wonderful concise debrief of the visit which made everything clear for later use. I was reluctant to have someone come in to help with breastfeeding and pumping - not sure why, but I felt like it should be something I could figure out on my own and through internet sleuthing. Soooooo 4 weeks in, my husband actually reached out to Boober for me because he saw the daily struggle. Let me tell you! Jada texted me immediately, told me their rates, and set me up with an IBCLC who came to my house two hours later! Side note- this all happened yesterday. Rebecca was incredible. Helped me figure out why our latch was painful on just one side, showed me a solid new nursing position to correct the latch, recommended new pumping flanges that are correctly sized, and showed me how to give an infant massage to help calm my baby down when she’s gassy. She stayed until she had answered all my questions, and has been very responsive over text with those random questions that always pop up the second you’re home alone. Great experience - I’d highly recommend for anyone similarly struggling with any breastfeeding/pumping pain.

Boober is very quick and easy to use. I had noticed that my baby started to get fussy when breastfeeding and went on the boober website to look for help. I received a phone call within an hour or two of submitting my information. They ask you exactly what is the problem to help find what’s best for you. Jada was very helpful and made sure she was able to find a lactation consultant to see me as soon as possible. I was able to see a lactation consultant the next day.

Boober is very quick and easy to use. I had noticed that my baby started to get fussy when breastfeeding and went on the boober website to look for help. I received a phone call within an hour or two of submitting my information. They ask you exactly what is the problem to help find what’s best for you. Jada was very helpful and made sure she was able to find a lactation consultant to see me as soon as possible. I was able to see a lactation consultant the next day.
