Recently, my husband and I had the privilege of working with Amy, an exceptional Doula (who I found through Boober), and I am thrilled to share my testimonial about my outstanding experience with her. Amy is one of the most caring people I have ever met. She was patient, understanding, and compassionate during my pregnancy, childbirth, and early child-rearing. From the beginning, I noticed how knowledgeable and empathetic she is. We were particularly fearful of a cesarean birth. Amy responded by walking us through all of the medical interventions that might lead to a cesarean birth being more likely. She tailored her support to us from the very beginning. She visited several times during my pregnancy to ensure we adjusted to the changes we were going through, answering all of our questions with evidence-based advice. On the day of my baby girl's birth, Amy arrived soon after we did and stayed with us the entire time. Her calm and reassuring presence put me at ease as she provided physical and emotional support and coached my husband on how best to care for me. I was surprised by how present she was despite how late into the night it was. She endured each hour with me, giving me massages and counter-pressure exercises to cope with the pain. I planned for an unmedicated birth, but at dawn, after hours of pain, I decided to go with an epidural, and Amy supported my decision. If it wasn't for Amy, I couldn't have been without an epidural for as many hours as I did. Postpartum, Amy visited us regularly, offering emotional support, breastfeeding assistance, and practical guidance for caring for our newborn. Her genuine care and dedication extended far beyond the birth. I don't have enough words to express how happy my husband and I are that we met her. I can confidently say that Amy not only greatly enhanced my birth experience with her presence but that without her, my chances for a C-Section would have increased dramatically, as well as the overall pain, stress, and anxiety. I would wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone seeking an extraordinary doula. If I have a second baby, I will want to have Amy by my side again.

Marianne was a total lifesaver in labor and delivery and the time leading up. She was exactly the kind of doula I was looking for as she is extremely well versed in movement and different positions, anatomy and pain management techniques, which is what I was looking for. I’m very glad to have worked with Marianne as it unquestionably added positively to my birth experience.

Boober is a brilliant business connecting independent lactation consultants, doulas, massage therapists, etc. with people looking to hire them. They are extremely responsive to requests and will communicate over phone and/or text to make sure they understand your needs and nuances to best match you with a provider. My process was professional and prompt with great options to select from. I’d definitely recommend the service.

When you need a lactation consultant you need them immediately. I wish boober been around when my first was born. With him I had to call 10 lactation consultants before finding someone who was available. This was so much easier.

Definitely recommend this service to any mother experiencing challenges with breastfeeding. I tried to navigate through mine on my own which is no way to go through it. I reached out to Boober when I was nearing burnout and giving up. They sent Grace over to help and we couldn’t have found a better match. She uses a holistic approach and combines her extensive knowledge of breastfeeding (which is out of this world) with compassion and great communication. She is totally non-judge mental and collaborative throughout the entire session and treatment planning. She helped me feel empowered and proud of the mother I am regardless of what my breastfeeding journey ended up looking like. Couldn’t recommend her and Boober more.

My daughter is on the older side (3+ months) and it has been quite challenging getter her to nurse. I was given several recommendations for next steps. I would recommend their service for a younger baby.

I had an excellent experience with Boober! Someone called me to do an intake within 15 minutes of submitting the online form, and I was able to have a virtual session with a LC just a couple hours later. The speed at which Boober connected me with a professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate LC was a huge plus as I was experiencing some breastfeeding issues that needed urgent attention. My provided incredibly helpful real-time coaching and shared lots of tips of techniques for me to try out later.
