Recently, my husband and I had the privilege of working with Amy, an exceptional Doula (who I found through Boober), and I am thrilled to share my testimonial about my outstanding experience with her. Amy is one of the most caring people I have ever met. She was patient, understanding, and compassionate during my pregnancy, childbirth, and early child-rearing. From the beginning, I noticed how knowledgeable and empathetic she is. We were particularly fearful of a cesarean birth. Amy responded by walking us through all of the medical interventions that might lead to a cesarean birth being more likely. She tailored her support to us from the very beginning. She visited several times during my pregnancy to ensure we adjusted to the changes we were going through, answering all of our questions with evidence-based advice. On the day of my baby girl's birth, Amy arrived soon after we did and stayed with us the entire time. Her calm and reassuring presence put me at ease as she provided physical and emotional support and coached my husband on how best to care for me. I was surprised by how present she was despite how late into the night it was. She endured each hour with me, giving me massages and counter-pressure exercises to cope with the pain. I planned for an unmedicated birth, but at dawn, after hours of pain, I decided to go with an epidural, and Amy supported my decision. If it wasn't for Amy, I couldn't have been without an epidural for as many hours as I did. Postpartum, Amy visited us regularly, offering emotional support, breastfeeding assistance, and practical guidance for caring for our newborn. Her genuine care and dedication extended far beyond the birth. I don't have enough words to express how happy my husband and I are that we met her. I can confidently say that Amy not only greatly enhanced my birth experience with her presence but that without her, my chances for a C-Section would have increased dramatically, as well as the overall pain, stress, and anxiety. I would wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone seeking an extraordinary doula. If I have a second baby, I will want to have Amy by my side again.

Marianne was a total lifesaver in labor and delivery and the time leading up. She was exactly the kind of doula I was looking for as she is extremely well versed in movement and different positions, anatomy and pain management techniques, which is what I was looking for. I’m very glad to have worked with Marianne as it unquestionably added positively to my birth experience.

I had super positive experiences with Boober during my pregnancy! Boober's one stop shop platform made it super easy for me to find and register for two nearby education classes (infant safety/CPR and newborn care) and to connect with an amazing birth doula. I loved the process of first speaking with a coordinator about what I was looking for and then getting matched with several doulas I was able to video chat with to find a great fit.

Rachel and Sherraine were absolutely wonderful doulas to work with. They helped me navigate the different options I may be presented with during labor and offered me reassuring advice. I felt prepared for birth even though in the end I had a very quick labour and delivery. Postpartum they were also incredible support for questions I had on breastfeeding, gassiness in babies, napping..etc. Would 100% recommended them!

I used boober to get matched with a birth doula and also with a separate postpartum doula. I found the system easy and quick, and was very happy with the doulas with whom I got matched.

I waited until the last minute to find a doula and the representative at Boober was extremely compassionate and helpful. They sent over the contact info for the doulas right away and I was able to find a perfect match within a week. Can’t recommend them enough!

I found our doula, Hannah, through Boober. She was an absolutely essential part of my birth experience. Her calm energy, generous spirit, and wealth of knowledge helped me through the entire course of prenatal, in-labor, and postpartum experience. During a very difficult, painful unmedicated labor, she helped me refocus my energy and breathing, calm me down so the sensations would not overtake me. She educated us before the birth, stayed by my/our sides through 30+ hours of labor, and patiently cared for us postpartum as well. I would not hesitate to recommend and/or rehire a Hannah. She’s a gift to all.

It is so important to have a strong advocate on your side when birthing a baby at a hospital, Brandi is that. She has a calming, confident, and loving presence. She is very knowledgeable, understanding and most importantly empowering. She went above and beyond at the birth of our baby which made me and my partner feel held, and supported. Hiring Maria for both the birth of our child and postpartum were the best decisions we made. Maria is super knowledgeable and was able to help us successfully prepare for our first baby. Throughout the whole process Maria was calm, understanding and nurturing.  I was in labor for almost 40 hours and Maria helped get me through, reassuring both my husband and I every step of the way.
