I am excited to share some significant updates about my professional journey since the program ended last month: I have accepted a new role as CHRO at a 600 people global company. This is the role I envisioned in the career vision for 5-10 years from now! In parallel, I have also founded my own individual company and joined an executive coaching network to grow my business further. This dual focus has given me a broader perspective on my career, and it seems it's time to revisit my career vision and aim even higher!

I secured the promotion from my current company and I'm getting my first direct report, earlier than expected. I can't believe everything happened so quickly once I took control of my career and started taking action.

When I started working with Maya, I was exploring new opportunities and knew I needed to step up my executive presence. I wanted to show up as a real leader - clear, confident, and impactful. When I started the program, I really wanted to grow and I wanted to take on new projects, but I felt like I didn't have the skills to get there. I felt not supported. I was really frustrated. Following the program I was able to move to a new company where I now lead product marketing myself and moreover I’m respected as an expert and people really value my skillset. When new management arrived, I realized that despite leading multiple departments as a director, I wasn’t seen as ‘executive material.’ The rules of the game had changed, but I hadn’t. She showed me that moving from manager to director—or from director to VP—requires a deliberate shift, especially for technical leaders aspiring to the executive level. Through her coaching, I learned to reframe my story from ‘doer’ to enterprise risk mitigator, and to communicate in a way that connects with senior decision-makers. Maya’s insights—like ‘frame your work around business results, not personal achievement’ and ‘executives get hired for their potential impact’—have been game-changing. While I haven’t yet made the full jump to the executive level, my perspective has expanded, and my input is now sought by executives and peers on issues of strategic importance. Maya continues to guide me toward the next level of leadership.
