@jasonfried I definitely felt in control after switching to Basecamp and it felt great. I wonder if that "control" positioning emerged naturally or was subtly shaped by Jason and Ryan’s friendship with @bmoesta and their deep grasp of JTBD. They truly don’t sell features, they sell identity.

@jasonfried I enjoyed the read! Felt spot on. Somewhat obvious to someone following for years, yet a good focus.

@paulsyng @jasonfried @dhh @37signals Great read.
Part 5 is an excellent dissection and counterpoint uncovering, gives some good examples on how to explore and bottom out value difference nuance with other founders/partners. Lots to chew on.

@paulsyng @jasonfried @dhh @37signals THIS is a billion dollar blueprint that shits all over any modern day VC backed SaaS product strategy.
I model so much of what I do on the 37 Signals philosophy but this just packages it up into an easy to follow frame work.
Thank you @paulsyng for writing this.

Fantastic piece by Paul, spot on about kinship being the real moat. He nailed what actually drives Hampton’s growth: connection and accountability, not just community. It’s rare to see someone unpack the business with that level of clarity. We built this for founders who needed what we needed ourselves, and it’s been incredible to shepherd it's growth.

Just read the Wynter Gravity Report. Indepth, intelligent, insightful, high-value and compelling. Peep Laja will surely be intrigued. Interesting to see what the Wynter business model will look like in a few years.

This is a very thorough / thoughtful analysis wow Paul Syng - can’t say all of my moves have been this methodical. Just taking things a few weeks at a time, getting new data, learning what works / what doesn’t. We have an amazing community of people and I’ve met so many through marketing but connected on a personal level. This job has been a ton of fun and I’m learning every day. Gonna do a call with you so I can get more of this wisdom because I’m not this smart!
